A Winner and a General Update

My winner of Seduced by a Legend was author, Melissa Snark, and she’s kindly offered me a promo spot. That was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. It was a pleasure to give a book to someone who came across as genuinely pleased to receive it.

An update on Hard Pressed…basically, in that I don’t have one. It’s gone ‘on hold’ and I will likely need to chase. This one seems to have had several production problems (one being plain old computer failure). I’ll let you in on the news as soon as I receive it.

Year End Splash!

I’m participating in The Romance Reviews’ Year-End Splash (YES!) Party in November! For the event I’ve offered a copy of my m/m contemporary romance, Acting Out — timely, I hope, as the companion book should be out before the end of the year, but even if it drifts into next this is a great opportunity to pick up a free copy of the first book.

New

Something new I’ve added to the site is an events calendar — that is not the same as the normal calendar. You’ll find it on the front page. I’ve a few spots lined up and more to come before the end of the year which I’ll shout about nearer the times, but the calendar will give advance warnings.

I’ve also got two new reviews to shout about. One for Well Nigh Impossible from rainbowbookreviews.com

When I read the blurb for this short story, “another Armageddon predicted” immediately not just caught my attention, but made me grin. We’ve had quite a few dire predictions of this kind in the last few years, and a story picking up on that theme intrigued me. … And then the kicker at the end of the blurb: “What if the world doesn’t end some morning”? THAT I had to see! … If you like “end of the world” threats that turn out to be false, if you’re curious about what two men might be doing in the last few moments they think they have, and if you want to know what they do when the world survives, then you should give this short story a go. It’s fun, entertaining, and will probably make you smile.

…and one for A Not So Hollow Heart from MM Good Book Reviews.

If you’re a fan of zombies, dystopian and m/m genres then this book is a safe bet for a fast, fun read! I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author.

Note: The reviewer does express that she wishes the book had been longer. I see her point and love that she says it could have been ‘an eerily beautiful full length novel’. Alas, to fit certain markets sometimes writers have to deal with certain constraints. Something for me to consider though, should I ever wish to release this for another type of market.
