YouTube Disabling Channels and Accounts without Forewarning Unjustly

Attorney Peter Obstler currently has a class action lawsuit against YourTube that has been going on for over 3 years. Mr. Obstler represents both Prager University (a conservative nonprofit academic institution) and the LGBTQ community, each of which have been censored by YouTube and had their channels and content deleted (like mine) for no reason. Mr. Obstler (a San Francisco based attorney) spoke with me on the phone one Saturday morning for nearly an hour revealing the extent of YouTube's violation of its net neutrality agreement with content creators that YouTube promises to fairly provide equal access to its online platform to share content. YouTube however has VIOLATED its net neutrality agreement with content creators instead preferring to promote its chosen favorites that generate the most Google ad revenue (as some videos like most of mine have no Google ads thereon and instead provide free content to viewers).

YouTube tells content creators: "If you believe that your channel has been terminated by mistake, you can appeal using this form" below:

In July, 2019, I attempted to login to my YouTube account and access my over 3,100 videos and the website said my account was permanently disabled. What?!

I therefore wrote YouTube in their forms (provided at the link above to appeal) stating the following (below).

I think a competitor has falsely charged me with hate speech or copyright infringement to have my account deleted. I have always closely adhered to YouTube policy guidelines, removed any videos that were deemed controversial or reported to me, and strive to be kind, courteous and upright in all my dealings with others. Please kindly restore my account. Unfortunately YouTube never responded and never answers their phone when I call.

I have even applied for jobs to work for and serve YouTube. Moreover I am willing to do whatever is requested of me to improve and correct any problems with my channel, including delete any controversial videos upon request. However I still have received no communication from YouTube or Google regarding this matter.

To this date YouTube has not asked me to remove any videos. As a faithful YouTube user and someone who has contributed over 3,100 YouTube videos over the past 15 years; removing my account without forewarning is not fair.

Please give me a chance and advise me what I must do (and have done wrong) before disabling and deleting my videos.

QUESTIONS FOR YOUTUBE

This being said, if anything spoken or said (with a Biblical view, or any other view - as cursing comedians often demean groups of people daily on YouTube and their channels remain active) is offensive to someone; should YouTube immediately remove it and disable the channel? If Facebook or Instagram do not like a particular image or video, they will forbid and prevent it, but not remove the user's entire channel and account.

What standards are being used at YouTube to ensure equality of review and disabling channels and content?

Thus YouTube deleted my channel and others taking up space and not generating Google ad revenue to instead promote its favorites and allow teenagers dancing to music (a copyright infringement of the music producer) to promote their videos with Google ads thereon to increase Google and Youtube revenue.

The Equal Opportunity Commission and AntiTrust Lawsuits that could come upon YouTube for this in the name of unfair discrimination and denied access, due to censorship (a blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment freedom of speech) are endless.

Undoubtedly this is a simple, profound, powerful formula for success that is more easily said than done. The biggest takeaway for me is when Ed told Howard Stern those who make it in any industry don't have a plan B, they believe and persevere until they realize their dreams.

As I have taught my students the importance of transcending racism and loving humanity unconditionally and living authentically (not being jaded by narrow minded people or miniscule mindsets); Ed did just that by leaving his homeland in England to launch his career and perform throughout the United States. His leap of faith with little money, led Ed to sleeping on Jamie Foxx's couch, after which he continued to collaborate and connect with people throughout his journey. Ed continues to do so today, which is a sign of his humility and greatness.

Scientific American's academic journal cited several extensive studies in May, 2018 revealing data on learning and cognition showing that "even more important than when one learns a language is how. People who learned via immersion—living in an English-speaking country more than 90 percent of the time—were significantly more fluent than those who learned in a class."

Thus if a student has "the choice between starting language lessons earlier or learning through immersion" - "an immersion environment has an enormous effect" in students ability to comprehend, compile and mentally sort data. A huge difference can be seen in academic performance and language fluency between students who study English within a language immersion program living in an English speaking country, than those living at home in China (for example) where students can comfortably revert back to speaking Mandarin among their native born peers.

As an international educator and English teacher to Asian students, learning English as their second language; I see the value in English immersion programs. Most Asian nations I have traveled to and worked within seem to prefer the American educational system and curriculum. This is because most Asian students want to study at American universities following their graduation from high school.

Language immersion programs provide Asian students with a rich linguistic and cultural experience to daily come in contact with subtle nuances and interactions which otherwise students would not have when learning English in China. Holistic Education, Cultural Sensitivity and Values Education

The mainstream educational system is failing miserably by discounting students' individual identities and disregarding their unique strengths and cultural challenges. For example students of any religious faith are told to omit (or silence their beliefs) when learning in public schools.

However the truth is two-thirds of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were graduates from Biblical seminaries and the first act of the U.S. Continental Congress was a two-and-a-half our prayer meeting to ask God for His blessing upon our country.

Since the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has fought to remove any mention of God from schools, courtrooms and state capitals; morality has plummeted, crime skyrocketed and the United States has begun to come undone. School shootings and disregard for the sanctity of human life is a direct result of removing values education from the classroom.

Holistic education equips and empowers students to be whole, happy, love and respect themselves as human beings and their classmates (peers and mankind). Today with the absence of values education and the lack of cultural sensitivity; more students are becoming disgruntled, angry and hostile toward the educational system and nation at large (thus perpetrating extreme acts of violence).

Holistic education, cultural sensitivity and values education must return to the classroom. We must be brutally honest with ourselves as a nation and stop censoring history, which is nothing short than lying to ourselves and living in delusion.

True uncensored Native American Indian and African American history is often omitted from American history textbooks, especially dirty details regarding the bloodshed, crimes against humanity, theft of land and property, and inhumane treatment of families. How then can we expect Native American Indian and African American students to excel academically, when they are being taught a "sanitized" watered down version of history to appease their white counterparts?

As a Caucasian international educator and college counselor, I am one of the few honest enough to admit the above and call for higher standards. Holistic education is greatly needed to incorporate students' individual identities, histories and background knowledge into the learning process.

Because I do not foresee a day in the near future when traditional public schools in our generation will embrace this type of holistic education, truthful and transparent learning; I am a strong advocate of private and boarding schools where students can be among peers and teachers of a different mindset and free to learn the totality of historical and cultural matters of importance to them and their families. Private and boarding schools are more welcoming and inclined to teach values education, holistic education and impart cultural sensitivity with social grace when doing so.

What I learned about boarding schools is they are definitely not the same, though all may purport to be outstanding online via their website and marketing promotional materials.

What parents must be alert to and aware of are the following:
1. accommodations (safe, comfortable and convenient)
2. facilities (exceptional for extracurricular, recreational and athletic events)
3. food (healthy and good quality)
4. faculty and staff (professional, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and helpful)
5. security (alert, aware and awake 24 hours a day)
6. university and career counseling (astute, in touch, personal and approachable)
7. student body (established criteria, carefully selected and chosen)

Every parent wants the best for their children. Working and traveling parents who opt to enroll their children in boarding schools want peace of mind when doing so. Parents want to know their children are provided for, learning, growing and happy.

Chinese Boarding Schools - Chinese Parents You Can Do Better

When I taught English in China, I was shocked to see the way Chinese boarding schools treat, feed and care for Chinese students. Undoubtedly, Chinese parents can do better for their children.

Chinese boarding schools often charge high tuition fees on par with American boarding schools, but Chinese boarding schools provide an inferior education, lower quality of life, and take advantage of Chinese students for profit (housing and feeding them poorly to increase their profit margins).

I was surprised to see Chinese students being fed a plate full of rice with only a little meat (mostly fatty pork with bones) and a few vegetables during meal time. The school admitted to changing their protocol after the first year, when meals were of a higher quality (but they made no profit). The second year of operation, the Chinese boarding school allowed the cafeteria to be outsourced by a private company for profit (resulting in a dramatic decline in the quality of food, including some meals serving meat that smelled almost spoiled that students later reported having stomach problems after having eaten the meal).

Other reputable schools I have visited do not try to cut corners when serving Chinese students meals to increase their profit margins. It saddens me to see Chinese boarding schools mistreating students and inadequately caring for them to merely increase their profit margins (similar to the melamine in milk scandal across China that led to the death of several infants and countless sick Chinese children nationwide).

Chinese parents mean well and truly try to do right by their children, sending them to the best schools they know of. Yet if Chinese parents only knew how much better American boarding schools are and that the price is not much more than what they are paying Chinese boarding schools, Chinese parents would not hesitate and jump at the chance to have their children studying in the United States, learning English, becoming bilingual, and developing themselves for future advancement and lifelong progress.

As a world traveling motivational speaker and university counselor serving schools, I have the privilege and distinct honor of visiting many outstanding boarding schools throughout the world. As an international educator, I also have some experience in the past teaching at some boarding schools (some better than others).

What I learned about boarding schools is they are definitely not the same, though all may purport to be outstanding online via their website and marketing promotional materials.

What parents must be alert to and aware of are the following:
