Working on Little Wager and some very exciting news!

I made a commitment to up my total word count for my stories in 2017. The longest things I write tend to be around the 45,000 word mark with each chapter being around 1000-1500 words. I set myself a goal of the next book being 70,000 words and it's a challenge!

To start with, for my latest story, A Little Wager, I've done a much more detailed synopsis, 5000 words where it would usually be 2000 words. I find planning in advance makes the actual writing easier and faster as I know where I'm going and that I won't get stuck somewhere three quarters through with nowhere to go  (hopefully)

So far, I'm 16,000 words in at the end of chapter 7. In total Little Wager should be around 36 chapters, divided into 3 acts of 12 chapters each.My maths makes that 72,000 words if I stick with 2k per chapter. The quickest way to sum up the story would be Trading Places meets 50 Shades of Grey in Victorian England. You'll have to wait and see how it turns out though. Hopefully it'll be out in March if all goes to plan.

As to my latest release, Little Time hit the top ten in the Amazon USA BDSM chart. It's my first contemporary age play story and has been a big hit so expect more of the same at some point in the future.

Now to the exciting news. Blushing Books, the well known publisher of steamy spanking stories, have accepted Little Conspiracy for publication with them. It'll be out on the 13th of January so mark your calendars, I know I have. It's hugely exciting to work with them as they represent some of my favourite age play and spanking authors, hopefully this could be the start of a wonderful friendship to paraphrase Casablanca.
You can get Captured and The Duke and His Little on there right now through their publishing partnership deal. A bargain at $4.99 and available as a mobi, epub or PDF.

Adjusting the background colour so writing isn't so blindingly white!

Want a different background colour when you're writing? White too bright? Look no further!
If like me, you prefer a different background colour than white when you're writing, it can be changed!
It was a simple enough process in earlier Windows but in Windows 10, it's not easy to do. Luckily I found a way and my fiddling about to find this fix should make life easier for you. Adjusting the colour will change a window like this:

to something like this:

Less painful on the eyes when you're in front of the computer and writing all day long.
First hit the windows key (down near ctrl and alt on most keyboards) and R at the same time (Win+R)
That loads the "run" window. Type in "control color" without the speech marks of course!
That loads this window:

Click on the top box next to windows background and then choose whatever colour you prefer. Hit apply and see how it looks. You can tweak the other colours while you're at it if you're that way inclined. Then get back to writing!

I'm number 1! Happy dance of joy! Plus cover reveal...

I've managed to write like a speed demon recently and completed 3 books in 3 weeks. I've found my most popular stories are around the 20,000 word mark so that's what I've been concentrating on. I expected longer novels of 40,000+ words to sell the best but that's not been the case. In three weeks I've managed to get Desired by the Duke, Dark Desires and The Duke and His Little finished. I'm working on the next one and as a teaser, here's the provisional cover for you...

Dark Desires is currently number 1 in the UK and The Duke and His Little debuted at number 1 thanks to you all! The pic above shows the chart in the UK right this minute. Dark Desires at #1, The Duke and His Little at #5, the two of them also #1 and #3 in the hot new releases. I love writing historical age play and it's gratifying to see so many people out there enjoy reading these stories! The pic below shows the chart when The Duke and His Little debuted.

The Duke and His Little, 24,000 words of  darkly provocative Regency romance. In this battle between two sworn enemies, lust mingles with anger but when anger becomes violence and violence threatens lives, how far is too far in the quest for vengeance?

A broken daughter...

When Lady Christine Bouchier's parents died, she thought their cruelty died with them. But when their will is read out, she realises they have struck one final blow from beyond the grave. To gain her inheritance, she must fulfil her childhood vow and marry the Duke of Malton.

A damaged Lord.

Lord James Thaw, Duke of Malton does not even remember the childhood pledge he made. But when the will spells it out for him, he is faced with honouring his promise to marry the Bouchier girl. Having no intention of settling down, he sets about pushing Christine away with well practised cruelty. But as she appears happy to submit to whatever he demands of her, he quickly realises that if he is to be regain his freedom, he must go deeper into the depths of depravity than he ever dared before.

Christine puts up with his ever worsening behaviour in the hope of gaining her inheritance but when he pushes her too far, she is forced to make a decision. Will she leave James forever and forfeit her fortune or risk her life to help him see that it is not bitterness nor solitude that he needs, but to open his heart and let love in?

Dark DesiresDesired by the DukeDesired by the Duke

25,000 words of dark Regency romance set in the Yorkshire seaside resort of Whitby and inspired by a trip on the North York Moors steam railway.

Whitby, 1835

Running for her life, Lady Eleanor Risby is forced to leave the noble life behind in a desperate effort to escape the men who killed her parents and are hunting for her. Her only hope lies in the house of the one man she can trust, a man she vowed never to speak to again.

The last thing the Duke of Ryedale needed was a reminder of the life he left behind, a world of wealth and privilege that has neither forgotten nor forgiven his crimes. But as the very first steam train heads towards Whitby, it brings with it the woman he's spent a lifetime trying to forget.

Bound by a childhood vow, the Duke promises Eleanor she will be safe with him. But when she discovers the truth about his new life, she must make a decision. Will she leave his side and risk both their lives or remain in his care and accept the Duke's dark desires?

If you would like a free copy of this or any other of my books in return for leaving me an honest review on Amazon, feel free to get in touch via email at contact@wildromance.co.ukDark Desires, the darkest thing I've ever written, almost an erotic horror as the antagonist is not just dark but actively evil. The heroine wants nothing but a simple life and instead finds herself caught in an awful situation from which she'll be lucky to escape alive.
The age play and discipline elements that my readers love are still included but they form part of a much darker romantic story though of course it still ends with a happy ever after.

Daphne is hired to pose for an artist but she has no idea that the man who wants to paint her also wants her dead for reasons that become clear as the story progresses. Her only hope is a man she hates, a man who spanked her on their first meeting and intends to do so again when they next meet. What follows is a race against time to outwit the evil artist before he finishes his masterpiece by murdering his muse.

Daphne Hardcastle vowed never to rely on anyone else. But after losing her job, she becomes desperate enough for work to contact the Earl of Conway and accept his offer of posing for a painting. When he first asked her to model for his artist friend, she refused. Daphne knew little about the rules of high society but it did not take an expert in etiquette to know that a man who spanks you on your first encounter is a man to be avoided at all costs.

The Earl of Conway is in trouble. He needs to find a model to repay a debt. He cannot afford to lose which is why he has worked so hard to persuade Daphne to pose for an artist who specialises in capturing the juxtaposition between innocence and sin, youth and experience, pleasure and pain, life and death.

The Earl hoped to teach Daphne the joys of submission and age play but when she vanishes without trace, he realises the mysterious artist has desires far darker than his own. Now he’s in a race against time to track her down before the artist uses her to complete his dark masterpiece, The Murder of the Muse.

Dark Desires is a Regency romance containing dark romantic elements, age play, bondage, and corporal punishment.

Seduced by the scoundrel

My latest book is finished and on sale for $0.99 as an introductory offer. It's a spanking Regency romance called Seduced by the Scoundrel, featuring...

An innocent debutante...
When Lady Caroline was sent to Kensington Academy by her parents, she had no intention of attending. But once she hears a scandalous rumour about the depraved proprietor, she fears her hard won reputation may be at stake if she does not find out the truth about her new tutor.

A dominant Lord...
When Lord George Hudson sees Caroline falling for his worst enemy, he vows to do whatever it takes to keep them apart, even if it means seducing her for himself. But when she vanishes without trace, only George knows who has taken her and why. Now he must make a decision, forget about her and walk away or risk everything to track her down and bring her home.

It's a darker romance than my last book and it's a change for me, containing spanking instead of age play. I wanted to try a different kind of romance, Regency rather than Victorian although still with a traditional happy ending.
The heroine, Lady Caroline Brentwood was an interesting character to write, I felt her fear during the assault in the woods which left her damaged and in need of love. It was hard writing some of the scenes but it made the happy ending all the more satisfying.
The story features a naughty daughter running away from home, hoping for freedom but finding darkness. There's room to write a sequel featuring some of the minor characters if the demand is there so be sure to let me know if you like it!
If any of you would like a free copy in return for leaving me an honest review on Amazon, feel free to get in touch via email at contact@wildromance.co.uk

Get my early stories in one huge collection

I've put 69 of my early erotic stories in one 500,000 word collection for less than a dollar. Find it here.

I've had a load of unpublished stories sat gathering dust on my hard drive for a while now. Having been through a variety of kinks and niches I had built up quite a collection of erotic stories that are really rather eclectic. They weren't doing much good just sitting there so I've picked out the 69 best ones (yes, I did choose that number deliberately) and put them in one super cheap bundle under the author name Anna Hole. Consider the collection my way of saying thank you to my loyal fans and a chance to see just where my head wandered to in my first years of publishing erotic stories.

The earliest in the bundle, Loch Love, came out in 2012 and the latest came out at the start of this year. Grab a bargain, half a million words for $0.99 with something for everyone. Want dominant and submissive spankings and bondage? You got it. Need some steampunk lesbian? You got it. Prefer Regency age play? It's there. Did someone say Victorian vampire detective? Done. Gangbangs, tick, threesomes, yep, babysitters, film parodies, watersports, I could go on. You get the picture. Enjoy!

Educating Eva - A change of pace

It's an exciting end to July for me. Laura has been my biggest hit so far, I've had the highest month ever for sales and pages read. I gave myself the deadline of getting Educating Eva finished and uploaded before August and have just squeezed it in (that's what she said) with a day to spare.

I've gone darker with this story, making the hero more dominant and the heroine more reluctant. I've also included a bit of lesbian tension, some more painful discipline, and a trip to Scotland as part of the plot. Time will tell if it's as popular as Laura which has been number 1 in Victorian erotica in the UK for more than a week now and hit the number 1 spot in the USA as well.

It's 20 chapters and came in at 23,000 words. The plan for August is for another big one, getting Captured finished which is likely to be three times as long as Educating Eva, the downside being it might take three times as long to write but we will see.

Took a few edits to tweak the blurb for Educating Eva but in the end I settled for:

He taught a little, she's learning a lot.

Eva Belvoir is a brat. Her parents have had enough but they have no idea how to improve her behaviour. When their friend and private tutor, George Jenkins, offers to take her on, Lord and Lady Belvoir leap at the chance.

Soon Eva is taken to her new master's house, stripped of her dignity and her clothing, dressed in a nappy, dummy in her mouth, and her bottom sore from repeated spankings. But just as she begins to accept life as a little, her dominant master vanishes without trace. Now she must make a decision. Either let him go and return to her old life or seek him out and become his permanent little wife.

This Victorian age play romance is perfect for fans of historical submission, brought to you by the number 1 bestselling author of Laura and Little Faith.

I do like the cover for this one too, nice and dark which suits the atmosphere of the story.

Writing: Laura - An Age Play Romance

Laura is now available to buy and I think you're going to love it. It's around the 25,000 word mark, taking less time to write than Little Faith which came in at 45,000 words. Little Faith got to number 1 in the USA and the UK, time will tell if this reaches the top spot.
It's darker than that story with more emphasis on age play. I wanted to write something a little shorter before getting Captured finished. Captured is my next full length novel, likely to come in around the 60,000 word mark.
I'm enjoying alternating perspectives between the two main characters and maintained that style for this story. It seems to help drive the story forward and works much better at getting into the head of the characters than first person could ever manage. It did mean more planning before writing but it helped make the story tighter and more romantic whilst keeping the sexual tension of an age play romance in place.
The synopsis of Laura took a while to come together as well but in the end I settled for:

Laura Rothsfield is out of control. When her father receives an offer to turn her from brat to respectable woman in just one week, he is certain the tutor will fail as all the others have before. But Edward Westall is no ordinary tutor.

Once Laura is under the roof of her new guardian, the truth comes out. He intends to mould her into the perfect little and he knows just how to do it, introducing her to a bizarre world of nappy changes and breast milk, dummies and painful spankings, all carried out under his watchful gaze.

The longer Laura stays, the more she begins to enjoy the life of a little but all too soon her time with Westall is up. Now she must choose begin going back home and forgetting all she's learned or staying where she is and becoming her dominant master's permanent little plaything.

This Victorian age play romance is perfect for fans of historical submission, brought to you by the number 1 bestselling author of Little Faith and A Little Lesson.:
