Stephen King “On Writing” On Cocaine:

Several people insist that King talks about a cocaine addiction, so I guess it’s true, but what I say here still holds true:

I read “On Writing,” but I don’t remember reading that he did cocaine. I remember that he has had health issues since he was a kid (which is how he got into his imagination to begin with). I remember that he had a terrible accident & almost died. So, maybe I just accepted the drugs as part of the process.

But, we are all human. And writers/artists are even more human...

Find a Read & Critique group. You will learn more from reading others’ writing than you will from writing. You will learn more from getting a critique from other writers than any other group of “readers.” (Quotations because you hint that they aren’t even readers.) I pay for my R&C class so I get great feedback from the instructor even when I feel the rest of the group is lacking (tho the group I’m with now is amazing.)
