Another poem with a different feeling....
So...what about another poem with strange feelings? Here it is....I think it is filled with lots of truth...
___
b.d.m.c.
The blind,
the deaf,
the mute,
and the crippled,
they never let go of us
nor do we of them.
They leave us silent
and silenced,
but never thoughtless.
I told my son today,
I met an Eskimo lady
just yesterday.
He was amused,
but not amazed;
but I did not mention
meeting a blind man
earlier today;
nor the deaf-mute
who crossed my path
four days ago.
Deep in our minds,
pity can be found in a corner,
holding hands with curiosity
while both are embraced
by shame.
___
Hope that you enjoyed. Thank you for your valuable time and attention. Do be safe and much love!

Another poem, but with a different feeling
Now....a poem with some other feelings. Just hope you like it as you have done all the others.
___
AS HUMAN
I know now that I once knew him
They told me all about what he’d done
And all that had been done to him
I got it all once it had sunk in
He could not stay away from bad
Now they say no good can come of him
His family had tried and failed
He now walks the streets like the undead
In ragged clothes and five lost teeth
All wait for the shame to be blotted
by time. Our partner in crime
But no more are they holding their breath
For their shame has reached its limit
And their patience has long lost its name
At night he would scavenge garbage
He halted when he saw me looking
The same glance he had that one time
A soft voice pleading for me to leave
I asked him later what I’d done
I can’t do that when you are looking
…humanity is never a shame to us…
___
Thank you once again for all your time and attention and do be safe. Much love.

Another poem: Each Season Given To Us
Oh goodness!
You seem to want more and more poetry! Didn't know you would love it this much! Of course, I am not complaining! No way! I am way beyond happy!
So, for you die-hard romantics and poetry lovers like myself, I will keep bringing you more!
Here's another one, which appeared on Leaves Of Ink on June 13th:
___
EACH SEASON GIVEN TO US
Spring
Spring sunrises promising budding affinities
New lives full of desires waiting to commence
Spring warmth flowing through our cold veins
Its passionate flavors welcomed by our love
Hopes outlining inner depths of ebullient feelings
All mere trinkets of Spring’s jubilant legacy
Summer
Summer’s Sun a median witness to our bliss
Snugly poised on a bright smile-filled noon
Emotions growing now to complete maturity
A sense of perpetual ease and longevity
Only surpassed by love’s combined fervor
All mere shadows of Summer’s manifestations
Autumn
Summer’s verdant jacket cast off onto the ground
Once vibrant prattle overshadowed by glum silence
A time of redundant inner penitence for things done
Darkening hearts of only true loves outlive this
Where the strength of love’s embrace is discovered
All mere onlookers to an ever expanding dusk
Winter
Winter sunsets lasting on seemingly forever
As we carefully parent each and every savoured moment
Memories of life tall like Winter’s advancing shadows
‘T is Winter’s tale that relates of things not done
Rebuking them and making good any lost chances
All mere mortals in its almost immortal darkness
___
Hope you enjoyed!
many many thanks for your time and attention and do be safe. Much love.

Another wink of humor
And this one: maybe not all humor, but with a wink. ENJOY!
___
FIRST SNOW
Lights in the street subdued
Just pointy grey goblets
The sky a myriad of infinite shades of grays
And what wasn’t, was a true white,
Houses afar were like dazed silhouettes
Even the regular darks were gray tonight
The ground, white, deemed icy cold, was not
Voices in the street merely loud whispers
And as soundless, out of nowhere, a snowball
Right between the shoulder blades
A giggle directs me to my attacker
As she stood there grinning
Now, figure out your first snowball
And your first snowball fight
But the tease soon became a truce
Moments later, love could’ve begun
One more good chance passed up,
You realized too many years later
___
And do accept my gratitude for your attention and time. And be safe, much love.

Another humorous poem! Enjoy!
Hmmm, what about some more humorous poetry?
Here's another one, with some wordplay.
___
OUT OF LUCK
My lady has still not arrived
She must be in transit somewhere
Sometimes she seems long overdue
And even as if she won’t make it
Yet at times it’s as if she was here
But then left hastily again
Is that when I find myself crying?
Or is it when I smile?
The fool she has me for
unknowingly. Or is she in hiding?
If I could only figure it out
I guess I will, once she’s here to stay!
Just last night, it felt as if she was here
But I’m quite sure, she’s not here today
What if she was and I didn’t know it?
Oh shoot! Did I miss out (on her)?
My baby should be here sometime soon
Or so they’ve been telling me anyway
Sometimes I wonder if they know anything
Anything at all; would help
___
Thank you once again! And hope you are enjoying your weekend indeed! Have some BBQ, I know I just did!
Take care and much love.

Another poem...with some humor!
Hey there!Hope you are all having a fine day and a splendid weekend!I have another poem for you, one with some humor. Hope you enjoy, here it is:
___FISHING ON THE BRIDGEYou should have seen the Ten-pounder we hookedDown at the bridgeMy boy’s eyes all shinyAnd the smile I can never forget
Neither of us knew what to doSo we played it alongSo long as it doesn’t dartleIt will be goodWe kept playing it alongLet Mr. Fish decide what he wants to do
We can go down off the bridgeOnto the rocks, my boy saidYou think we can make it and still have it?Let’s try, I agreed
But then Mr. Fish showed his impatienceAnd did what a Ten-pounder could doHe broke the line in twoYou swallowed my only hookNow what’ll I do?
My boy’s disbeliefTurned quickly to silent approvalI don’t mind, he saidWe’d have thrown him back in anywaysBut we know we had had himAnd we know we knowAnd he smiled___
Thanks for reading and caring.
Do be safe and much love.
