Confess - by Reagan Phillips ~ Cover Reveal
I'm so excited to reveal the cover for CONFESS,
Book 1 in the Blue Line Series
By Reagan Phillips.
When Nashville homicide detective Mitch Kilpatrick defies department orders to investigate a string of small town murders, his singular goal is to catch a serial killer. That is until his investigation leads to Lacy Andrews, an uninhibited and sexy-as-sin bartender who's keeping secrets of her own.
Confident and alluring, Lacy is everything Mitch’s pride rejects, but that won’t stop him from getting her in his bed, especially when he learns she’s sworn off cops for good. Winning her over proves the perfect challenge until her secretive past connects with his current case and she becomes an unwilling pawn.
Confronted with repeating past mistakes, will Mitch push Lacy away to keep her secret hidden, or expose her to solve the most important case of his career?
Excerpt from CONFESS:
She was letting this man get to her. Down deep, under her skin. Why?
Her gaze dropped to his mouth and the way he sucked in his lower lip and bit down. His body shifted closer, his knee pressed into the seam between he knees until she had no choice but to open to him and the rounded bone pushed on her inner thigh. He smelled of beer and the strong spice of aftershave, a heady mix of masculinity that left her wondering how a man like Mitch would taste. How his hands would feel on her bare skin. Soft and gentle after all that hard talk? Or would his touch be as rough and grating as his personality?
His eyes sparked, dark and dangerous though the sultry smile on his lips stayed playful. “You were planning to at least kiss me goodnight?”
Her body felt electrified. Confused. Like the cells beneath her skin were running in all directions and pulling her apart from the inside. “I may have thought about kissing you.” Her gaze hovered on his mouth and the delicious way his lips curved up into one side of his cheek in a half grin.
"Then it’s only fair to tell you kissing wasn't exactly how I pictured the night ending." His Adam’s apple jumped in his throat, hollowing out the base of his neck.
She fought the sudden need to run her tongue along the rim of his concaved flesh. To taste him. To feel his heat under her tongue.
God, she was about to lose herself and there wasn’t a damn thing she could do to stop it.

You Get What You Give - Book 1 Charity Selection
As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I will be donating a portion of my profits from each book to charity. I selected my charities based on the real-life issues my characters deal with in the story.Delayed Penalty Charity: Open Arms Grief Support
St. John Providence Hospital
About the Program:
"Open Arms is a grieving children’s support program that helps children ages 3-17 years and their family members find healthy ways to cope with their feelings of sadness, anger or frustration, and be able to return to their day-to-day activities. Open Arms has become a place of comfort for children and adults who are surviving the loss of a loved one.
Open Arms grief support groups for illness, accident and suicide meet from 6-7:30 p.m. each week. There is a light meal before the groups and we offer transportation for families if needed. Children participate in grief support groups with their peers while their caregivers participate in our adult grief support groups."
~ From St. John Providence website.
Open Arms Services:
"Open Arms school-based grief support groups operate at schools throughout Metropolitan Detroit during the school day. Please ask you school Social Worker/Counselor to find out if Open Arms has grief groups at your child’s school.
Open Arms Homicide Survivor Program helps families cope with the traumatic loss resulting from homicide through support groups and individual therapy. Additionally, Open Arms Homicide Coordinator helps families complete victim compensation paperwork and provide support and referrals for additional services. The groups meet weekly from 6-7:30 p.m. There is a light meal before the groups and we offer transportation for families if needed. Children participate in grief support groups with their peers while their caregivers participate in our adult grief support groups.
Open Arms Trauma Response Team assists the community when a traumatic death occurs. The team goes out to schools, businesses, churches and civic groups to help the groups cope with their traumatic loss.
Grief Camp is a 5 week day camp during July and August where children ages 7-14 years can come to find healthy ways to express their feelings associated with grief, meet other children who have had similar experiences, and have fun just being a kid again."
~ From St. John Providence website.
Why I Chose Open Arms I grew up a mile away from St. John Hospital in Detroit, and the Pilots, my fictional hockey team, is based in Detroit. I wanted to give back to a program that directly helps the grieving children in that community. As a victim of childhood trauma, I believe the loss of a loved one, especially a parent, on a child shapes how she perceives the world the rest of her life. The group support grief counseling really strikes a chord with me, because it was hard for me to sit and talk to an adult about my feelings. My hope is that being around other children who are having a similar experiences and feelings, may help kids open up when they normally wouldn't. (**That is strictly my personal, non-professional, non-study-verified opinion.**)
Just by buying my book, you are supporting this amazing program.
I encourage my readers, my friends, to support the programs you feel strongly about. It doesn't have to be monetary. Volunteer your time. Donate goods. As you all know, there are a number of ways to make a difference. BE THE GOOD. :)

Missing Pieces by Meredith Tate - Cover Reveal
I'm so excited to reveal the cover for MISSING PIECES,
Meredith Tate's debut novel!!
Because: WOW! Gorgeous! Check it:
“Your family is the most important part of your life. Your families are the people you love, and love is what separates us from scoundrels and criminals. It maintains order. Your parents, your sibling, and your Partner are the ones you love. There should never, ever, be anyone else who comes close to that bond. You have only one best friend, and that is the person you’ll be marrying some day. We must learn to differentiate the relationships in our lives: the people we love, and the ones we don’t. It’s inappropriate, it’s foolish, and it’s forbidden to think otherwise.”
Trace Bailey’s mouth is her worst enemy—somehow it always gets her in trouble. Luckily, she has a partner in crime—her best friend and neighbor since age seven, Piren Allston. He can’t get enough of her crazy sense of humor, and she loves that he’s always up for another adventure.
They can’t be friends, though, not in their world. Trace and Piren were Assigned to other people at the age of six, and they’re supposed to marry their Partners when they turn twenty-four. Failure to comply leads to Banishment, a fate worse than death.
Worse still is the growing realization that their bond is stronger than just friendship.
In a world without freedom, there are still choices to be made. Following their hearts means losing their family, but following the law means losing each other.
I can't wait to read it!!! PRE-ORDER About the (awesome, amazing, debut) Author: A proud New Hampshire native, Meredith Tate lives in St. Louis with her husband. She loves reading and writing in all genres, but has a soft spot for dark young adult and new adult speculative fiction. Meredith has a master's degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire. She is a contributor to the St. Louis Writer's Guild's "Write Pack Radio Show" every Sunday afternoon. When she’s not writing, Meredith enjoys traveling, playing the piano, befriending wild geese, and spending time with family and friends. Much like her characters, she’s always up for another adventure.

The Book of Hours by Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra ~ Release Day!
It's Release Day for THE BOOK OF HOURS by my friend, Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra!
I am blown away by how much I love this cover.
If you think the cover is a gorgeous as I do, you won't be disappointed by the story inside.
Maria Elena's writing is beautiful.
For artist Gabriela Martinez, psychopaths do hit twice.
A LOVE IN JEOPARDY
In 1993, artist Gabriela Martinez almost lost her life to a sociopath’s twisted vision. If not for Richard Harrison, the operative sent to protect her, she would have ended up dead. The dramatic showdown pushed them together, but there were too many obstacles temporarily pulling them apart.
A NEW THREAT
After catching a glimpse of Gabriela’s new work, The Book of Hours, Arnold Wickeham has been like a man possessed. Now, he will do anything—anything—in order to claim it, and nothing, especially not Gabriela, will stand in his way.
THE PAST IS CATCHING UP
Richard Harrison has never given up his true love, Gabriela. Now someone new is threatening her life, and he will risk everything to protect her. But the stakes are now higher, and there is much more to lose. And, if he doesn’t stay one step ahead of the danger, her life, but especially, their future, may very well go up in flames.
A LOVE TESTED
In The Coin, Gabriela and Richard were cruelly used by fate—and destiny isn’t done. In the shadow of this new threat, their choices may not just save their lives, but also their love.
About the Author: Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra is a full-time novelist based in North Carolina, where she lives with her husband. Cuban by birth, and American by choice, she has lived in many countries, including France, the setting for her first novel, The Coin, and has held at least as many professional occupations, including time as a dancer, singer, journalist, literature teacher, and now, novelist. A lover of all things medieval, she became a speaker of many tongues—literally—including Spanish, French, Italian, and German, as well as reading Latin, Middle English, and old French.
She holds a Masters in English literature, specializing in medieval romances, and is currently an active member of the Romance Writers of America, Heart of Carolina and Kiss of Death Chapters, and Carolina Romance Writers. She loves to hear from her readers, and always hopes to open a dialogue with her fans. Order THE BOOK OF HOURS Click to Connect with Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra: Website Facebook Twitter Goodreads

Caroline Lee - Promote My Peep Day!
Today's edition of Promote my Peeps Day, I'm featuring The Sweet Cheyenne Quartet by one of my favorite peeps, Caroline Lee.
Caroline and I hit it off even before we met - conversing through Facebook messages after she joined Carolina Romance Writers, the Charlotte area chapter of RWA. A common love of writing (of course) and the close age of our kids made us fast friends with a ton to talk about.
Our first coffee shop meet up went like this:
"Thanks for meeting me to write."
"Yeah, this is awesome."
We both opened our laptops like the professional writers we are. (WE ARE)
Then we started talking. We did not write.
We talked about family and editing and websites and friends and coffee and our kids.
We both talked really fast because we had so much to say and add to the conversation that we had to get it out right then.
Three hours later it felt like we just got there. Instead, it was time to leave.
BIG SIGH.
Back to Facebook conversations and seeing each other at CRW meetings and more Facebook conversations. We are probably having a Facebook conversation as you read this. :)
Truly one of the most awesome people I have met in this amazing world of writing.
The Sweet Cheyenne Quartet Look at the GORGEOUS covers! I love them all!!
I write Contemporary, but I read a slew of different genres. The historicals I usually read are about England and Dukes and Eliza Doolittles. But The Sweet Cheyenne Quartet intrigued me because it takes place in 1880's America. And you can tell Caroline Lee knows her history and researches like a BOSS!
(Click on the book cover for link to buy)
The Sweet Cheyenne Quartet is out! You can buy all of them now. Because I love Caroline Lee and her books so much, I am giving one lucky reader an autographed copy of one her books. It gets better: YOU get to choose the book.

Tracy Solheim - Promote My Peeps Day!
In the very first installment of Promote My Peeps Day, I'm promoting BACK TO BEFORE by Tracy Solheim. I had the amazing opportunity to moderate Tracy Solheim's workshop at the Georgia Romance Writers Moonlight & Magnolias Conference in October.
When I signed up to volunteer, I specifically asked to be the moderator for her workshop because:
1.) She's awesome
2.) Her workshop was about writing a Winning Sports Series
No Brainer.
As soon as I saw the topic, I signed up to be moderator. I'll soak up all the information I can get when it comes to making my books better. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to pass up the opportunity to meet an amazing author who has already published a successful Sports Romance series.
Tracy's workshop didn't disappoint. She taught (and reinforced) some things I needed to research and figure out to take my series to the next level - and hopefully stand out in the eyes of a publisher.
BACK TO BEFORE - Released January 6th, 2015 - Penguin From Tracy's Website:
Back to Before takes readers back to Chances Inlet, North Carolina, the scene of Foolish Games. In this book, Gavin gets his second chance at love.
Chances Inlet, North Carolina, has an infamous power for second chances. But its charms are lost on the town’s favorite son—until she comes along…
When his father’s sudden death puts his family’s construction business in serious debt, architect Gavin McAlister is forced to put his dream career in New York on hold. Making matters worse, his fiancée calls it quits. Desperate to return to his big-city life, he discovers an opportunity to save his family, one that has him reluctantly starring in a home restoration TV show.
Former soap star Ginger Walsh hopes this job as a TV makeup artist will lead to better things. So far it’s only brought her to a hamlet full of people who don’t like her—except Gavin. After a wild night out leads to Ginger waking up in Gavin’s loft—and the rest of town talking—the two of them soon wonder if getting back to before is what they want. Because being in each other’s arms certainly feels like what they need.
Add it to your bookshelf on Goodreads. Click on the book cover for a direct link to purchase on Amazon Kindle. :)
BACK TO BEFORE released on Tuesday. In honor of Tracy's newest novel, I am giving away a signed copy of one of Tracy's books. I chose GAME ON.
Why GAME ON? Because it's the first book in her Out of Bounds series. Which is a Sports Romance series and I LOVE SPORTS ROMANCE. But you knew that part, right? ;) I also really love the book.
