And for Wednesday's Hunk Quote we have Luke McGiffin from "Forbidden Fruit". I loved the way Luke was with Ava. He was so demanding and it was mega hot! ;-)
"There are two things I want you to know before you go out on your date with Pete tomorrow night."
"And what might they be?"
"I never meant the Dr. Doolittle comment to be insulting. I love that you care for animals, Ava. It screams sensitivity. You're a nurturer and that's something I've always admired in you. I don't think you're odd either. I think you're lovable as hell. And I'm damned glad no one else calls you Dr. Doolittle. That's for me and me alone." Luke paused and in a much colder tone he added, "If Pete touches you, kisses you, dances too fucking close to you, I'll beat the shit out of him, Ava. I swear it. He's my best friend in the world, but I will not be happy if he touches you. Think about that when you're out on your date with him, baby. Think long and hard. You know me. I don't issue silly threats. Only promises that I mean to keep."
Then the line went dead and Ava was left holding a cold piece of plastic, her mouth gaping wide.

Monday Excerpt--What She Craves
[image error]
Sorry I'm late with Monday's excerpt. It's been a busy day!Today I'm giving you a sneak peek at my December 14th Samhain release, "What She Craves". a hot m/f/m menage and the second story in my Cape May series. :)
[image error] Blurb:
Unwrapping these gifts could get a girl in a world of trouble.
Cape May, Book 2
Tory Jeffries likes things simple. A modest home, a web design business, easygoing men. Except there's never one around when she needs one—and she needs a date for the event of the year, her friend Con Walker's annual Christmas party. Not that she couldn't go alone, but spending the evening as a third wheel doesn't appeal.
When her old friend Devon Mason turns up dateless as well, she anticipates a fun evening with her flirty, bad-boy buddy. Then Devon and Con offer her a Christmas treat that her inner slut begs her not to refuse. A night with both delicious, muscular men. In Con's bed. Naked.
After growing up together with an up-close-and-personal view of life's ugly side, it doesn't surprise Devon and Con that they've fallen for the same woman. They've watched her date men who aren't nearly good enough for her, and now it's time to show the fiery blonde just how perfectly she fits in their sinful fantasy sandwich. When they take their first long, slow taste, something extraordinary happens. They fall in love.
Now all they have to do is convince their suddenly skittish princess that fairy tales can come true…
Warning: This book contains one sassy heroine getting two tasty alpha heroes for Christmas. Expect some crazy hot m/f/m sex and a Christmas Eve party that'll blow your stockings clean off.
Adult Excerpt:
Tory felt at home. It was odd, but there it was. Nothing could ever harm her with Devon's strong arms holding her tight. She twined her arms around his neck, and he pulled her in tighter. She immediately knew what he wanted to show her. The rigid thickness of his cock now pressed into her belly. Tory's knees went weak. Her eyes sought his, searching for confirmation. His wicked smile sent her blood pressure soaring. He rotated his hips, causing heat to pool between her legs and her face to flame.
Leaning down, his hot breath against her ear, Devon whispered, "Don't be embarrassed, sugar. You're beautiful. Feeling your sweet curves against me is driving me right out of my mind." He lifted his head, his gaze so dark she barely saw the pupils. "I'm not going to do anything about it. Not unless you want me to. Do you want me to, Tory?"
"I-I don't know."
"Are you a little turned on?" he whispered against her ear.
"Maybe," she confessed. "But we're friends, Devon."
"And friends can't be lovers?"
Tory shrugged. "I wouldn't know. I've never had it happen before."
"Maybe we should find out where this could go."
"Devon's right."
Tory froze at the deep baritone coming from directly behind her. Turning her head, she saw Con, and he was close. Close enough she could smell his clean masculine scent and see the tension riding him.
The ramifications of what they were saying hit her at once. "Both of you?" Her nipples hardened as if begging to be touched, tasted, played with by Con and Devon both. Her nipples were total sluts, she decided.
Con cupped the back of her neck. It was a strong, possessive hold. Tory couldn't move. "You sound surprised, baby."
"Surprised barely covers it," she said, and her voice sounded husky. Damn it, she sounded aroused. "You two must have had too much to drink or something." Lighten the mood, she lectured herself. While you're at it, remember who you're with, you wanton.
Con tsked. "You know better. Devon never drinks, and I only had a few sips of that white wine you tasted earlier."
She did know Devon's rigid stance on alcohol. His father had been an abusive drunk and, as a result, Devon never touched the stuff. "Then maybe I'm the one who's had a little too much."
"Come upstairs with us, sugar. Where we can be alone. We can talk about this in private."
"Talk?" she asked, turned on despite her suspicions.
"Talk, nothing more. Unless it's what you want," he added. "I promise."
"You have our word, baby," Con said, adding his two cents to Devon's. "The ball's in your court."
"But you don't deny you want me. Both of you. At once." She said it quietly, but still it felt like all eyes were on her.
"We won't lie to you," Devon said. "Having you is something we've both fantasized about, Tory."
Tory slapped a hand over her eyes. "Oh, God. This is so crazy."
Con pried her hand away, a tender smile on his face. "Crazy because you like the idea, or crazy because the thought is repugnant?"
She couldn't lie, not about this. Not when they were opening themselves up to her in such a vulnerable way. "It's not repugnant," she answered, her voice quivering. From fear or excitement? Both, she suspected.
Devon's arms tightened and Con's silver gaze blazed with passion. "Follow me," Con growled.
Con gestured to Jason, his personal assistant. Making arrangements for Jason to handle the guests? Most likely. Heat filled her cheeks when Jason's gaze darted her way for a split second. As Con started out of the room, Devon wrapped a hand around her smaller one, then led her toward the doorway. Her legs shook. She was really doing this. Going upstairs with Devon and Con. Would they make love to her? Both powerful men? She couldn't even begin to get her head around it. Tory had no experience to aid her in this. What would they expect from her? Would she be able to satisfy two such virile men? More importantly, what would it do to their friendship?
Suddenly, Devon stopped and cupped her chin in his large, gentle grip. "Stop analyzing it. Only let us please you. That's what Con and I want. To please you."
His gaze dropped to her chest. Was he looking at her nipples? Could he tell they were hard for him? His nostrils flared as he muttered, "So sweet. So tempting."
"So out of my depth," she muttered.
Devon brought her hand to his lips and kissed it. Without another word, he took her to the stairs. Halfway up, he stopped her again, murmuring, "Tell me, sugar, are you wet right now? Is your pussy eager for my touch?"
"Devon." She had no idea what she was going to say. She had no words to describe the feelings rioting inside her at that moment.
"Con and I are going to make you feel so damn good. Every sexy inch of you, Tory."
She had to make him understand. He had to know she wasn't this daring. That she'd never been wild or uninhibited in bed. She swiveled on her heel, nearly tumbling right off the step had Devon not reached out and grabbed her around the waist. "I've never…this isn't—"
"Shh, it's okay." He reached around and patted her bottom. "Upstairs first, sugar."
Tory hesitated. She could leave. Simply ask Devon to take her home. He'd do it. She knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he wouldn't hold it against her, either. He would call tomorrow morning and wish her a Merry Christmas the way he always did. Did she want that? Did she want to walk away from them?

And my inspiration for Con and Devon... *grin*

Bite Me by Jambrea Jo Jones
[image error]
The ARe short story contest is in the fourth round of voting. Jambrea Jo Jones has made it as well as three other authors. All the stories are great so go vote for your favorite.
I personally loved Jambrea's story, "Bite Me". It has all the right elements for a sexy vampire romance!
Here's a taste for your reading pleasure:
Oh, and it's Friday! So, kick back and relax. ;-)

Here's a taste for your reading pleasure:
I don't care what anyone says, the first bite is always the best. The rush of the chase and the delicious taste of victory are much better than the same thing day in and day out.
So why do I keep coming back to him? I've had his blood. Nothing special there, just life sustaining, A-positive goodness.
Maybe it's because there is no fear in him. He likes when I stalk him and pouts when I'm away for too long. And I can never stay gone. He knows as well as I do that the thirst for hunting others is waning.Read the rest of "Bite Me" HERE (and don't forget to put in your vote!)

Thursday Thirteen--Fall Faves
[image error]
Before I get to my Thursday Thirteen, I wanted to remind everyone about the poll I'm doing. If you haven't voted yet, please do! It's at the top of the sidebar and takes all of two seconds. Thanks! :)
The things I love most about fall.
1. Bonfires. We always end up having at least one bonfire this time of year.
2. Who doesn't love th changing colors? The trees are so gorgeous this time of year!
3. College football! I LOVE college football. Of course, I wasn't so happy this past Saturday when the Bucks got their butts beat. Come on, guys, step it up! [image error]
4. My husband's gumbo. Yum! I love when he gets out the big pot. Just the smell of it cooking can have my stomach rumbling.
5. Halloween, of course. Candy, costumes, and scary movies!
6. Warm cider. Is there really a person alive who doesn't just love this stuff?
7. Slipper socks. Okay, I confess, my youngest daughter and I have a thing about slipper socks. We don't just wear them in the fall either. And no, those aren't our feet. LOL
[image error]
8. Thanksgiving dinner. Family, good home cooked food, and lots of laughter. Last year was the best Thanksgiving we've had in years. Hoping this year will be just as wonderful.
9. Cozy Pjs. I love my Pjs. That's actually my old desk, but M & Ms are pretty much a regular part of my diet. lol
[image error] 10. Pumpkin spice candles. I love walking into a house and smelling it. It's so warm and inviting. Although, I admit, it makes me a little hungry too. ;)
11. What would this time of year be without the Charlie Brown classic? It's always been a favorite of mine.
[image error] 12. The only thing better than hot cider, is hot chocolate. God, doesn't that look delicious? I want some right now, darn it!
[image error] 13. Last but not least, camping. We always seem to go camping in the fall. Getting out the sleeping bags and warm sweatshirts and just leaving the hectic world behind. It's such a great way to unwind and get back to what's really important, family time. (an older picture, couldn't find a more recent one)

What do you love about fall? Any particular thing you look forward to this time of year?

Hump Day Hunks!
Enjoy today's cuties! *g* [image error]
[image error] And in case you all missed the announcement. My December release, What She Craves, is already up for pre-order on Amazon Kindle. Sweet, huh?
So, because I'm so excited about that, I've decided today's hunk quote should be from What She Craves. Of course, this is a menage, so the quote is not from one delicous hunk, but two!
"Christ, yeah, sugar. That's so damn good." Devon grabbed the back of her hair and pushed her face toward Con. "Kiss our girl, Con."
"Mmm, my pleasure." Con leaned up and kissed her. Hard. He thurst his tongue into her mouth, licking and teasing. He released her and growled, "You taste so sweet, baby." His large palms cupped her tits and pulled them up. "All over."

New Contracts!
Today, I have some really great news to share. First, I've signed a new contract with Samhain Publishing. The third story in my Cape May series, What She Needs, is to be released in 2011. Here's a blurb:
Part 2 of Tory, Devon and Con's love triangle
Devon Mason and Con Walker are sexy, honorable, loving, and completely devoted to her. All the things a woman looks for in a relationship. But what's Tory supposed to buy not one but two lovers on V Day? Chocolate? How average is that? Their little love triangle is anything but average! When Con surprises her with a weekend in Cancun, just the three of them, Tory is all over it—until she realizes Con forgot to include Devon in the gift giving. Now their little love triangle is suffering, thanks to a couple of hard-headed men who both want to be number one.
Con had been content to let Devon take control at Christmas, but now it's his turn to woo Tory. A weekend in Cancun seems the perfect place for a romantic getaway. Sun, sand, margaritas, and lots of hot, sweet loving with the woman who held the key to both their hearts and souls. When Devon steps up and lets him know he plans to surprise Tory with a trip to Aruba, Con's possessive instincts kick in. He'd always been happy to share Tory with the guy he cares for like a brother. But the deeper Con falls in love, the harder it is to keep from ripping Tory away from Devon.
Sooner or later something—or someone—is going to give.
Stay tuned to my website because I'll be posting chapter one there soon!
Now for the second part of my great news. My agent has recently secured a two book deal with Kensington, Aphrodisia imprint. Yay! I don't have any solid info. on the two books yet, just that they will be contemporary erotic romance.
I'm baking some cookies now and plan to eat about half a dozen to celebrate! *grin*

Thursday Thirteen--gadgets!
What would we do without our gadgets, right? That's the focus of my Thursday Thirteen.
First up, Amazon Kindle. I don't have one of these beauties, but I will soon. I'm about done drooling over them, dang it!
The handy dandy GPS. We went to Maine for vacation this year and what do you think was the single most useful item during the trip? My GPS. My car has a built in GPS. That thing is amazing. Didn't even need to take a map with us!
My daughter would be LOST without her XBox 360. She loves war games, Call of Duty, Soldier of Fortune, etc.
The Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo Sweeper. Long name, but worth every penny. I bought this off Amazon. I was skeptical, but I wanted something that I didn't need to plug in. Something that I could use btwn vaccuming. We have a puppy and she's forever tearing things to shreds. This little baby works great for that. It's not terrific at picking up very tiny particles, but otherwise I love it!
An electric wine bottle opener. Seems like a silly thing to have, right? Well, I got one for Christmas from my brother and his wife. First time I used it I was in love. I hate trying to use a corkscrew. I'm just no good at getting the cork out without somehow cutting myself.
Sirius XM. I LOVE LOVE this thing! My car came with this and it's the best darn thing. Especially on long trips. Love the lack of commercials!
Ah, the handy Portable DVD Player. We don't have one of these, but my sister-in-law does and she loves hers. It keeps her boys from fighting. Well, for short bursts anyway. LOL
[image error]
The Blackberry Playbook. I blogged about this already, I know, but the more I see it the more I want it.
The 56 inch flat screen T.V. Yes, I do have one. Yes, I love it. It's my most prized posession, other than my family and my books. hehe!
iPod Nano. Both my girls have iPods. They'd pretty much shrivel up and die without them, too. LOL
[image error]
My personal favorite. The Dell Laptop in shiny red. I have one like it and oh boy, what did I ever do without it? I never realized how chained to that desktop I was before. I'll never go back to a desktop now!

The gorgeous iPad. My friend, Regina Carlysle, just won this sucker and boy is she going to have fun with it. I had the chance to play around with one for about a week and it's so freaking addicting!

Last, but not least, the iPhone. Again, I want one. Again, it's not going to happen anytime soon. LOL It's funny when I think back to my childhood when there were only landlines with cords. Once upon a time, phones were for, well, talking. Now we use it to update our Twitter/Facebook status, send text messages, check email, shop, and even read ebooks. Isn't about time we come up with a new name? Phone just seems so yesterday. lol

So, what gadgets do you own and would kill to keep?

LOL

LOL

Hump Day Hunks!
Good Morning'ish! I'm a bit late posting the hunks. Hopefully these cuties will make up for it, though! :)
Quick note before the drooling begins. Today I'll be chatting at the Samhain Cafe from 2pm - 4pm est. Authors Karen Erickson and S. L. Carpenter will be joining me. Hunks, prizes, and hot excerpts...what more could a reader want, right? *grin*

Wednesday's Hunk Quote:
I give you Leo, from my current Samhain release, A Little Bit Naughty:
Her head fell to one side and she let out a breathless moan. When Leo touched the pulse beating wildly in her throat it seemed to quicken right under his fingertip. He leaned in closer, as close as the table would allow, then inhaled her feminine fragrance. "You always smell like cinnamon rolls." He inhaled again, then adjusted his assessment. "No, that's not it. It's the icing on the cinnamon rolls. Tasty. Makes me want to lick you from head to toe."
