I really struggled to draw the gorgeous sun and moon bears from the moving footage - I was too distracted by how cute and happy they looked!😍

A lot of people have said that my bears look a bit shifty, like they’re plotting and now I can’t unsee it 😂 Especially the 6th sketch!🐻

Apparently it was World Elephant Day earlier this week (and I missed it as usual😂) but I couldn’t let it totally pass by without giving a big shout out to @animallifedrawing

I sketched these elephants (and rhinos!) in a session a couple of months back. I just wanted to say how much I adore these events and there’s another one coming up at the end of this month!

I find them a really lovely way to unwind, although I draw all day I don’t always have much time for observational drawing and to play with new materials, for me these sessions are perfect for doing just that!🖍

The last two rhinos I drew entirely with toilet paper dipped in quink ink which was a fun and semi successful experiment!🧻🦏

They’ve also been a really great way for me to stay connected to family through out the pandemic. My mum and I often do a class together and then catch up afterwards to show our drawings and have a catch up!😄

SLOTHS!✏️

Yesterday was such a fun and exciting day and to top it all off I spent the evening drawing sloths LIVE from @jaguarrescuecentercr in Costa Rica with @wildlifedrawing ✨

They were so tricky to draw but oh so adorable! They spent so much time tangled up together cuddling 🥺 You could hardly decipher were one sloth ended and another one began😆

💗Which sketches are your fave?💗

I’ve always been oddly fascinated by sloths. I spent a few days in Costa Rica with my dad when I was younger and we saw sloths in the wild and at The Sloth Sanctuary. I still remember how mesmerising they were to see in real life. They were beautiful but almost didn’t seem real. The way they moved made them seem like puppets!🦥

I illustrated this book earlier in the year and have been dying to share it ever since! I had so much fun creating the artwork and working with the teams at Harper Collins and M&S.✏️

Here’s a little bit about the book…

Farm to Foodhall: The Magic Ingredient follows 12-year-old Amalia as she visits M&S Select Farms to find out where her food comes from. As well as Amalia’s story there are recipes, activities and more, all of which can help little ones learn about sustainability, food waste, the environment and more.

Animal life drawing is always an awesome way to start the weekend!✨We drew two Kunekune piglets named Bonnie and Clyde 🐷

I actually drew with both hands at the same time for a lot of these. I was so caught up in drawing I hadn’t even realised that’s what I was doing until near the end😅
