No joke, we're on sale!

The 2nd book in the Deadly Landscaping trilogy is on sale, starting today and going until tax day. Get it while it's hot!

This continues the story of Cassie Whittington and her troubled inheritance -- she's supposed to get millions from an estate, but it's all tangled up in court.

Her ex is also part of her family -- she was raised alongside Charlie and his family is her family. So when her ex-sister-in-law and her soon-to-be-husband get into trouble, Cassie is anxious to help.

This one has some gardening/landscaping in it, but it's also a culinary book because one of the main characters is a cook.

So check out Foxgloves and stay tuned for Daisies, on sale next month!

I am mostly AWOL right now

I meant to have another book on sale this month, but life got in the way.

First I had a Major Event that I was managing, so that sucked up my life for the first week of the month.

Then my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer, so I flew to California to help her out after surgery.

Then my mother-in-law fell ill and I have to fly out to Pennsylvania.

So I just had Lilacs on sale this month and can't give you a lowered price elsewhere.

I'll be back in a week or two, I hope, when life starts to settle down a bit.

Another sale! Just in time for spring

Going on sale for 2 weeks only, the first of the Deadly Landscaping Romances. This is a 3-book series I wrote a couple of years ago about a woman who makes a career change after she's laid off from her high-tech job.

She decides to get a degree in horticulture and as part of that, she lands a job working for a local nursery/landscape company. But first she finds a dead body in a greenhouse, and it turns out her new boss might be one of the suspects in the murder.

Oh, and then she inherits a million dollars and finds out her ex-husband is still in love with her. It's about then that life gets really complicated ....

And my promo experiments continue ...

I took out space in one of those email-blaster sites (the kind that people sign up then they're notified when new books have prices lowered) ...

I'm not going to advertise this sale anywhere but here and in that email blast. I want to see if it does any good. The effect of promotions are SO hard to calculate, but I think this might work.

Here it is, one sale for ONE WEEK ONLY. This was an amazingly fun book to write. It's the story of a man, an ex-actor, who writes a best-selling novel and publishes it independently (like, oh say, in Amazon). The book is about an old Hollywood murder. He writes the story under a female pen name.

And it becomes a runaway best-seller (oh, I wish!)

He's invited to speak at a conference (as his female persona) and he accepts, because it might be a chance to reveal the villain who injured his friend and caused decades of misery to those he loves.

So there you have it: a man, masquerading as a woman, at a writer's conference. Oh, what fun to write...

Enjoy Righter, on sale now for one week!

Still on sale, and soon, very soon -- another sale!

yes, I'm continuing this crazy promotional schedule of mine. First things first:

Still on sale, until 2/18: the tale of a pig, a septic tank, a body, and lost love. Sigh. So romantic, for Valentine's Day, right? All I ask is a review -- just a few words about how much you loved it (or not. Your choice!)

Secondly, another book will be on sale in a week or so. This one is my Murder in Hollywood book, in which a man masquerades as a woman at a writer's conference to solve a murder...oh, I had fun writing it.
Stay tuned for details and the link.

On sale for the next 2 weeks -- get it before it's gone

Okay, it won't be gone, but you get the idea --

On sale, starting today!

One of my very favorite books featuring Molly (who sorts her M&Ms by color), JT (the guy who jilted her and who has realized the error of his ways), and Melvin the pig (who dug up the body of Molly's ex-husband).

I wrote this a long time ago and it's one of the first ones I ever wrote in first-person point of view. It came so easily to me and I think that's when I realized that 1st POV was MY way to write. This book took me about 2 months to write, which is damn fast for a mystery.

All I ask from you for all my hard work is a buck and a review -- please leave a comment on Amazon about the book. Whether you liked it or not -- just a word or two, please! That helps an author SO much.

Anyway, here's to Molly, JT, and Melvin -- go forth and download!

January 6, 2016

New year, new promo!

Fun things are coming -- every month I'll have 2 books in promotion, either on sale or FREE.

Whoop!

All I ask in return -- please leave a review on Amazon (and other spots like Barnes & Noble, if you have time). Reviews help an author so much -- it's how our books get found by others, which spreads the word.So please -- help me out!

This month's selections:

Resorts, Regrets, and Returning to Love -- my "summer" book, perfect for a wintertime reading binge. All about a love from long ago who comes back into a man's life -- and about a murderer who returns, too.

GOING ON SALE on 1/8 (this Friday), for 2 weeks.

Brilliant Disguise -- one of my very favorite books. An FBI agent goes undercover in a small Iowa town, but (oops!) he's not really fooling anybody ☺

It's free now to Kindle Unlimited subscribers, and FREE for all on 1/15.

December 13, 2015

Okay, I lied

I did use some NaNo time to write a book.

Actually, I rewrote a book very drastically. This is the final book in the Endless American Dream series, and it needed major work. I wrote it in 2002 (yes, that long ago) and it had all the kinds of bloopers you expect from a beginning writer -- head hops and plot holes and lots of adverbs and all.

So I took a look at what I had, tore it all apart, then rewrote it all. I just finished the first draft tonight, so it took a bit more than a month, but like I said, I'm in a major Volunteer Time Suck (more on that another time), so I'm pleased I got a book wrapped up in 6 weeks.

Now it's back to promo thoughts, editing Book 5 of the Dream series and -- oh, did I mention? I'm doing major promo with my Wild Rose books, and they want to see my 6 book series.

Yep. Off to edit Dogged and look at promo plans.

Happy holidays! I'm looking forward to some time off so I can get some work done.
