Scorpio Intensive: Beyond Sex and Death

Astroshamanic workshop with Franco Santoro.

Scorpio is the sign associated with the taboo aspects of life, including the esoteric and deep features of our passions and desires, death, ancestors and our relationship with unseen realities, which profoundly affect our everyday life.

The workshop explores the theme of relationship from a multidimensional perspective, which includes the traditional theme of the Scorpio cycle, death, passion, rebirth. We will use advanced practices of astroshamanic soul retrieval, exploring shadow aspects and the rapport with our ancestors.

We will use the astrological chart as a living field to explore experientially the key elements of our passion, how to activate and direct it towards what we consciously choose to create in life. The event takes place during the New Moon in Scorpio and Samhain.

The workshop on 21-22 October 2017 can be followed by two days of deepening (23-24 October 2017), when we explore deeper features of Scorpio and of our connections with ancestors

When we address our ancestors we relate with the most ancient parts of ourself. Ancestors, besides giving us support and guidance, can also hold major grievances and pass down destructive models of behaviour or belief systems. Such grievances constitute the root cause of all our current, as well as collective, problems in life.

When strong conflicts develop among couples, lovers, friends, relatives, colleagues or people casually met, what actually happens is that the same conditions that once engendered separation and pain are being reproduced in the present for correction.

These situations are momentous for healing as they allow to face the opportunity to invert the trend of separation, to forgive and open up portals in my conscience.

We will employ the astrological chart as a map to identify and explore experientially and shamanically the healing dynamics of our relationship

The workshop involves a deep process of recapitulation and energy assessment of our human interactions, with the aim of gaining empowerment and wholeness, supporting and implementing righteous relationships aligned with our authentic soul purpose.

Participants will learn to use healing tools that allow them to continue the healing work autonomously after the workshop, providing a solid basis for more advanced practices.

The workshop consists of one weekend (21-22 October 2017), followed by an advanced workshop (23-24 October 2017).

Hot weather and the ego

Normal human body temperature is typically stated as an average of 36.5° C.

When human body temperature and atmospheric temperature are the same, our body feels at one with the surrounding environment, the sense of separation decreases and consequently the ego suffers a crisis.

The ego is here understood as our split identity, the belief of being an autonomous unity living in a separate reality. Cold and temperatures below 33° C are ideal for the ego because they allow the body and the related ego identification to live in thermal separation from the surrounding environment.

So if you are on a spiritual path and intend to move beyond your ego identification, when the temperature is around 36° C, let the ego complain and enjoy an ecstatic time of sacred union with the whole.

Discipline

The term “discipline” comes from Latin discere “to learn” and discipulus “learner”. Hence, it has no original reference to obeying rules, controlling or punishing.

Discipline merely implies the availability to learn through experience. It is not about adhering to a specific doctrine or system of knowledge. This is not discipline, it is the way the separated reality programmes human beings.

True discipline is experiential learning. Unless you experience something, you will not be able to learn it. No matter what you have been told about something and what ideas, emotions, feelings you hold about it, if you have not thoroughly gone through it, there is no learning. As a result, the lesson will hang around in a waiting chamber. You can provisionally ignore that chamber and choose to reside in a sheltered room. You can pretend other chambers do not even exist, glorifying the integrity of your sheltered room, with all its idols and gadgets. Yet, those who are hanging around in the waiting chamber will sooner or later get upset, and at a certain point burst out and invade your sheltered room.

Discipline is a learning process only when it comes out of direct experience. There are millions of books, movies and people telling you what to do or not to do, what things are good or bad. Discipline means putting aside this information and facing direct experience.

Discipline has to come from your centre, the solar plexus zone, reaching upward through the heart and downward into the roots of your being.

When discipline comes from someone else, then you are being encoded. Hence, you become a processing unit, an android, a fully certified arbitrary human being.

This is how you gain citizenship in a separate reality. Not surprisingly, pragmatic shamans are aware that this is a prerequisite. Hence, they do not challenge the encoding system. On the contrary, they use it to their advantage, employing it to promote true discipline and learning, using whatever they find at hand to sustain their intent. Concisely, they accept to be encoded so as to access a separate reality. Once they are fully integrated, they can then manipulate its resources according to their original intent, which is indeed one of solar discipline.

Shamans are champions of solar discipline, which is the educational way of sacred selfishness. This implies being madly in love with oneself, for you are indeed the closest learning device, the primary source of direct experience. If you are unable to acknowledge and learn from yourself, if you cannot contact and love the closest zone, which is you, there is no way in which you can reach other beings or dimensions. All you can do is pretending to reach or love them.

Soul retrieval is based on the understanding that most painful issues we experience are due to the fact that significant parts of our souls are trapped or lost. In Franco Santoro’s astroshamanic soul retrieval sessions, clients are fully present and directly involved in the process, while the practitioner supports and guides them. Soul retrieval here involves first the acknowledgement of the missing parts and their original separation, followed by their search and retrieval. This is a unique workshop, which explores sexuality and intimate relationships from a multidimensional and shamanic perspective with the aim of healing connections with yourself, partners, relatives, friends and significant people in your life. Drawing from the astroshamanic healing approach, we will track and release blocks that inhibit the capacity to express our true sexuality, identifying the underlying issues that hinder relationships, promoting compassion, healing, peace and fulfilment.

The workshop is designed for all types of relationships, encompassing couples in intimate or platonic connections, work partnerships, service and spirituality, as well as, rapports with friends and relatives.

Astroshamanic Healing Touch is a shamanic bodywork application of astroshamanism. Its aim is to explore the body’s spontaneous energies of ecstasy, uncovering and directing their healing potentials with integrity and clarity of intention.
