The Autumn Equinox

equinox copyIn the Northern hemisphere Autumn is traditionally related to sunset and the direction West, the place of transformation and death, as in the English expression “to go west” (to die).

In ancient Rome the Autumn Equinox marked the time when the goddess Proserpine began the descent into the underworld, where she would stay until Spring.

It is the moment when the world or the environment that has been familiar, gradually fades away until it eventually disappears. The luminosity and heat of summer begins to dissolve, giving way to increasing darkness.

This is a most intense moment of the yearly journey. It is the opportunity to relinquish our worn-out clothes and welcome the novel garments adapted for upcoming enterprises. Here we have the opportunity to release our previous conventional identification and step into a more advanced identity.

It is an initiatory death often known as the Way of the Spiritual Warrior, or shamanic death. By cultivating introspection and connecting with our deeper multidimensional self, we can withdraw from the fears generated by the belief in separation and gather the love and support which we need to advance along the path of transformation.

Being aware of, and accepting, the strategy of initiatory death, and the rebirth that follows as a natural development, makes it easier to accelerate profound mutations without activating the fiction of suffering pain or loss.

The leading challenge in autumn is to learn to die well to what no longer serves and be open to receive what truly supports our true intention and purpose in life.

Relevant questions here are: “what is there in my life that wants or needs to die? What ways of being in the world do not serve my current Intent and all that I am discovering through my inner work? What no longer serves me, my loving companions, the community where I live, the planet and the universe?”

When we see the world solely through the perspective of our personal identity or the culture we apparently belong to, we let the invention of our personal or collective ego rule as the centre of the universe rather than allowing our true self to be at the centre.

Autumn is a rather controversial zone which can cause major confusion, if we lose track of our relationship with our true self and get entangled in the thought system of the personal or collective ego.

Our true purpose in life is served through the release of our forlorn fidelity to pain and the readiness to probe other modalities of existing in the universe.

We need to become aware of your role as channel and meeting place for energies of multiple realities and worlds.

We need to comprehend that in each single moment we have the opportunity to elect whether to support unity or separation, and that this choice involves being aware of the nature of our conflicting thoughts.

Autumn is a time of steady retraction where changes are experienced in the nature of social relationships as well as in dreams, shamanic journeys and connections with alternative worlds.

In order to receive something new and promote healing harmony, we are asked to relinquish what is old and no longer needed, what causes grievances and conflict. This is the blessing of this season.

In ancient Persia the celebration of the Autumn Equinox (Mehregan) was created to honour Mehr, the goddess of light, love, friendship, truth, commitment, strength and peace. In Persian her name means kindness, goodness and identifies Libra in the official Iranian calendar and an alternative name for Mithra.

And as we enter Autumn, we meet the first sign of this season, Libra, bestowing the qualities of harmony, peace, luminous cooperation and sacred partnerships. These are most important gifts, which we need to be open to give and receive, in order to face the darkest months to come.

Please join us in celebrating the Autumn Equinox with a distant meditation, click here for information on our worldwide meditation.

I wish you a very happy Autumn season.

Restoring the Fragmented Heart, 23-24 September 2017, Giaveno (Turin, Italy)

Restoring the Fragmented Heart: an Astroshamanic Journey in Spiritual Intimacy and Loving Relationships, Giaveno (Turin, Italy), 23-24 September 2017

With Franco Santoro

This is a unique workshop in which you will explore relationships from a spiritual, holistic and shamanic, as well as pragmatic perspective with the aim of healing connections with partners, relatives, friends and significant people in your life.

Relationships are gateways into other dimensions, whatever and whoever we have separated ourselves from. They can be very challenging at times, for they shed light upon all our denials and fears, forcing us to come to terms with who we truly are.

Through tracking and releasing blocks to our capacity to love and identifying the underlying issues that hamper relationships, we can promote healing, fulfilment and peace.

We will employ astrology as a map to identify and explore experientially the dynamics of our relationships. We will use astroshamanic tools for healing and soul retrieval aimed at acknowledging and restoring the full spectrum of our true holistic nature.

The workshop is designed for all types of relationships, encompassing couples in intimate or platonic connections, partnerships in work, service or spirituality and rapport with friends and relatives. Participants of all genders and sexual orientations are welcome.

In order for this workshop to take place we require a minimum of 12 participants by 20 May. If you intend to take part please contact us as soon as possible.

Astroshamanic Healing Touch is a shamanic bodywork application of astroshamanism. During this workshop we explore ways of employing the physical body to foster expanded states of consciousness, retrieve soul parts, reawaken healing talents and allow these to integrate into everyday life. In this workshop we apply astroshamanic healing touch to the dynamics and themes of Libra and Venus.

New Moon in Virgo

kahesepohThe New Moon in Virgo occurs at 5:29GMT on 20 September 2017.

The previous New Moon in Leo reminded us that we are stars, unique beings with a role to play on the stage of existence. Virgo involves practically implementing this, getting down to work.

The New Moon in Virgo supports a new awareness and a shift of perspective, which confronts us with the earthly implications of our goals.

With the Virgo New Moon the entire lunar cycle may be ideal for making an inventory of one’s inner and outer resources, with practical assessment, organisation and discrimination regarding what to keep and what to let go of.

Virgo questions in this respect could be:

What is truly essential in order to manifest what I have chosen to create?

What is unnecessary in this regard?

What needs to be amended and restructured?

What practical work is required to serve my intention?

Virgo deals with the stage of selection and assimilation. It is a phase that requires an attentive work of discrimination between what is useful and what needs to be released. Discipline, critical capacity, an eye for flaws and the capacity to take things apart and reorder them in better shape are called for. Everything is carefully analysed, classified and allocated to its specific and best usage. This involves filtering or storing the essence of every form and discarding the rest. Here it is essential to focus on the resources that are extracted rather than on the wastes that are expelled. Otherwise, waste material risks being held on to, blocking the process of assimilation and producing toxic effects.

A major challenge in the Virgo process is to accept the limitations and imperfections in oneself, as well as in the environment. When we give ourself permission to go into areas of crisis and consciously stay in the friction of that space, then the primary step of healing is set in motion and transformation decisively begins. Another crucial point here is pursuing one’s intention, getting down to work and completing the desired tasks despite the limitations that we encounter. This is one of the major lessons Virgo can teach.

The degree of the New Moon, or Lunation point, indicates an area of life that will operate as Intent and driving force during the next cycle. In this New Moon it is at 27° 27′. Astrologically this position is first identified in the natal chart by noticing in which house of your chart is located and if there are planets nearby. The next step involves establishing a direct rapport with the Lunation Point by positioning in the corresponding Sector, staying there for at least five minutes and opening up to what comes to your mind, emotions and body, taking note of whatever calls attention, no matter how trivial or distracting.

In the subsequent days, as the Moon progresses in other signs, you can follow its path and position yourself in other Sectors, opening up to further insights and taking note of them. As you do all this, you can be aware of the position of the Sun and of your experience on the binary relation of both Sun and Moon.

At New Moon a novel process is conceived. The seed is present at the Lunation point, yet it exists merely as a potential without definite shapes. The Moon is unseen, cloaked by the radiance of the Sun, and the seed abides hidden in the obscurity of consciousness. At this stage dreams or insights, and prominent situations developing at a physical, emotional or mental level may provide indications about the upcoming process.

Here please be aware of your intention, no matter whether it appears a childish fantasy to your ordinary mind or the outer social environment. This is not the time to be practical or concerned about how to achieve things. It is the moment to open up to your uncontaminated and deepest desires, as you fully envisage them without limits. Later, as the cycle progresses, there will be chances to filter them, understanding their practical implications and working towards manifestation.

The Great Leap 2018

This event consists of two workshops: 4-5 January 2018 and 6-7 January 2018, which can be attended independently or together.

These Epiphany workshops are for those who long to take a decisive leap into the discovery and manifestation of their unique talents and authentic potentials, so as to provide benefits to themselves and the whole environment.

The workshop also aims at showing how apparently insurmountable obstacles and crisis can be used to give shape to our most ambitious dreams. During our time together we will also unveil how in every moment of our life, dark times included, we are never alone and there are immense forces available to provide support.

In English the term epiphany indicates the manifestation of a supernatural or divine reality, a sudden intuitive leap of understanding, especially through a visible ordinary yet striking occurrence. The term comes from the Greek epiphaneia, which means “manifestation” or “appearance”. In the Anglican, Eastern, and Roman Catholic Churches the Epiphany is also a traditional feast held on 6 January, celebrating the divine manifestation of Jesus Christ to the three Magician-Astrologer-Shaman Kings, who brought the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. The Epiphany exemplifies the alignment of the Three Magi, representing the height of human wisdom, spirituality and power, with our higher multidimensional nature, as represented by the Christ.

The Epiphany is a festival of most ancient origin and is meant to indicate the alignment between physical third-dimensional and multidimensional reality. It is connected with the stage of intention, the phase when we stretch into the multidimensional realm, connecting with our higher self and catching a glimpse of our true nature with all its potentials fully accomplished. It is the experience of the apex of power, which is then either grounded in our life or vanished as a passing dream… (click here to read Franco’s article on the Epiphany).

The workshop is in English and Italian.

The workshop takes place during the Capricorn cycle, ideal for identifying and implementinc luminous pragmatic goals and at the final stage of the 12 Days of Christmas.

For booking please contact info@astroshamanism.org or click here.

The event takes place in Lunigiana, Northern Tuscany, in an area surrounded by the Appenines and the Apuan Mountains, on the via Francigena, 30 kms from Cinque Terre.

New Year Astroshamanic Healing Retreat 2018

27 December 2017 – 2 January 2018, with Franco Santoro

In English/Italian

This retreat is a major opportunity to join loving forces with other friends on the path, creating healing networks and laying vital foundations for manifesting honourable intentions. The week promotes expanded awareness and planetary healing through meditation, astroshamanic practices and gentle inner work. We will alternate periods of silence and dialogue, stillness and movement, touch and contact, relaxation and activity, group and individual sessions, bringing careful attention to our inner and outer world, while also experientially exploring our astrological charts. We will also spiritually scan the past year, using an astroshamanic recapitulation technique, purposefully designed for the end of the  year, and successfully used by Franco with hundreds of participants in the past 20 years.

The assumption of shamanic recapitulation is that past events can block vital energy until they are finally sorted out and released. When this is not the case the past keeps being held in the emotional body and is constantly recycled, reactivated and condensed in the present. As human beings we tend to invest enormous energies in these memories until, just like in a computer, the memory space is used up, and our lives crash, hang or freeze. Besides reviewing one’s life and memories, releasing grievances and blocked emotions, recapitulation can allow previously trapped energies to become available so as to implement desired results and objectives. Hence, recapitulation is combined with practices aimed at defining one’s intentions, and budgeting, organising and programming the year ahead.

Please book at your earliest convenience since places are limited. It is possible to arrive earlier or stay longer. The retreat starts at 3 pm on 27 December 2017 and ends at around 5 pm on 1 January 2018.

It is also possible to stay extra nights and attending further events.

For booking please contact info@astroshamanism.org or click here.

Soul retrieval and ancestors

With Franco Santoro

Soul retrieval is a shamanic practice based on the premise that our soul was once whole and then it fragmented. Its aim is identifying and restoring the missing parts. There are many approaches to soul retrieval and different ways to describe it, depending on belief and spiritual healing systems.

In astroshamanism the 12 signs of the zodiac strategically represent the complete setting of the soul. This setting strategically define the complete make-up of our multidimensional identity, the entire configuration of our original nature, with all its possible parts, which are meant to be recovered and restored.

The workshop involves a simple process of energy assessment of our human interactions, with the aim of gaining empowerment and wholeness, supporting and implementing righteous relationships aligned with our authentic soul purpose.

For this purpose we will consider our connection with ancestors and ancient lineages.

Our ancestors are the most ancient parts of ourself. They can help us understand who and what we are in our present life. When we experience conflicts and grievances in our present life, what actually happens is that the same conditions that once engendered separation and pain are being reproduced for correction. These situations are momentous for healing as they allow to face the opportunity to invert the trend of separation, to forgive and open up healing portals in our conscience.

Participants will learn to use healing tools that allow them to continue the work autonomously after the workshop, providing a solid basis for more advanced practices.

Mirrors

Nobody hated you, abandoned you, betrayed you, offended you or hurt you. Everyone has simply hated, abandoned, betrayed, offended, or hurt a part within themselves they projected on you.

So relax, and don’t take it personally.

A separate reality is a world of mirrors. Everyone projects on others what they cannot acknowledge in themselves.

Everyone is an autistic and separate being who sees others only based on themselves.

Hence, if you understand the madness of this world and want to move on, the first step is to realise that nobody really hates you or hurts you, just as you do not hate or hurt anyone. Everyone who hates you or hurt you, or whom you hate and hurt is inside yourself.

Yet this also applies to those who love you, or whom you love.

This may appear as a very reductive way of considering human relationship… and it is indeed.

It is an intentional reduction of the complexity of human relationships aimed at leading it back to its matrix.

Then the second step will follow.

Manipulators?

Manipulators work behind the scenes, never exposing themselves directly for whom they are, otherwise they can no longer manipulate.

In this regard, the most effective manipulation technique is to convince yourself and others to be the victim of the manipulation of other people.

By interpreting the part of the victim of manipulation, manipulators avoid being identified as manipulators, thus gaining attention, sympathy, support, making others feel pressured and forcing them to act according to their will, which is what manipulators do.

So the best way to avoid being manipulated is to find out the manipulator that exists in yourself, the false victim in you.
