Happy Spring!

Spring has finally come! Farewell to darkness and winter, and welcome to the triumph of light! Spring is the most dynamic season, it exalts movement, outdoor life, meeting people, exuberance, splendour. Spring is the season of maximum growth and development.

Spring 2020 is quite an original one, offering us above all the prospect of pandemic growth and escalating restrictions, heralding major losses and release. This spring confronts us with the only certainty of life: that of losing everything. This really has nothing to do with Covid-19

It doesn’t matter what you’ve acquired, won, earned: success, money, property, relationships, friendships, family, health. At some point you will lose everything permanently, and Covid-19 has no responsibility about it, for this has always been the case for all people on earth.

Every time you lose something or someone, before losing everything and everyone, this is only a preparation, a training intended to teach you how to to lose. Spring is a beginning and a preparation. Spring 2020 is a training i losing-skills.

Losing is not an anomaly, something that only happens to unfortunate people. It is the inevitable fate of every human being. And it is precisely for this reason that the most important thing you need to learn in life is how to lose.

Among the many possible losses, the most painful and most difficult to accept and learn concern health, relationships, freedom. These losses, like all others, are inevitable.

The only certainty that exists on the physical plane regarding your health is that at some point you will fall ill or have an accident and die. Throughout your life you can learn many ways to keep yourself in good physical health. This is important. But it is equally important to learn to accept loss of health, to manage a disease or situation that leads to death.

So every time you get ill, even if only temporarily, this is a great opportunity to learn the most important and inevitable thing in life: losing, releasing.

The only certainty that exists on the physical plane in relationships with others is that they will end. At some point you will lose loved ones, they will leave you or you will leave them. Whenever you lose someone or something, even if only temporarily, this is a great opportunity to learn the most important and inevitable thing in life: losing, releasing.

Of course, it is not at all easy to learn to lose and release in a world that exalts victory, success, birth, acquisition and shuns defeat, end, death, shadow.

Covid-19 is a teaching aid and so is this Spring.

Please Mind the Gap

Please Mind the Gap has been a traditional refrain in the London Underground since it was introduced in 1968. This is about taking caution while crossing the spatial gap between the train door and the platform. Another, currently far more popular, gap is related with the social distancing precautions used to limit the spread of Covid-19. Then there is another gap, a Mighty Gap.

Between Pisces and Aries there is a Mighty Gap, which is the quantum leap from one realm to another, a cross-road leading either to a joyful radical redefinition of our nature or to yet another forlorn change within the same looping story. And it is at this gap that mankind seemingly continues to miss its chance of redemption as cultures reach their apex and then fall again into darkness.

Pisces represents both the peak of human consciousness and the bottom of ignorance, just as Aries depicts both the beginning of a new age of light and loss of awareness or going back to square one. In Christian terms Aries stands as the resurrected Jesus, yet it is also the crucifixion, the elimination of the physical Christ and his absence from the outer world, which is the return to darkness for those who are unable to see His light within.

Pisces and Aries are respectively the last and the first of the 12 signs. The 12 signs are in shamanic terms the 12 fragmented parts of our soul or, in Christian language, the 12 apostles.

With Pisces the sequence of the signs is completed, which means that I have had an experience of all 12 parts. This does not imply that these parts have been fully retrieved and integrated. And even if I have managed to regain them, I can still lose them again. The retrieval process is exemplified by the sequence of numbers progressing from 1 (Aries), 2 (Taurus) and finally to 12 (Pisces). Yet when I reach 12 (Pisces), the linear sequence is challenged, and instead of moving to 13, it goes back to 1 (Aries).

In this Mighty Gap between Pisces and Aries there is a zone of dissolution. The traditional sequence cannot move further than 12 and there is no space for the 13th, which is bound to be sacrificed so that 1 can return and pave the way for another repetition of the previous cycle.

This is the nature of our separated reality: an ongoing loop, the same soap opera replicated over and over again, a dream of inevitable captivity with no chance of liberation unless we wake up from the dream.

The 13th is the sign of awakening, and as such it does not belong to the dream. As soon as it emerges, I acknowledge the dream as a dream, and no compromise is possible: either I embrace the 13th and get out of the dream, or I continue to sleep, as the 13th shifts into 1 (Aries). Here Aries represents both the 13th and the 1st.

In ancient numerology the number 12 represents the structure that makes up our 3rd-dimensional reality, while number 13 is the portal to the multidimensional realm, or non-ordinary. As such, the 13th exemplifies the dissolution of ordinary reality and a radical paradigm shift which shatters the conventional laws of the world. 13 is the reawakening of a perception that drastically reveals the illusory nature of our separated reality, threatening the survival of the ego.

This is why the number 13 has been regarded with suspicious and fear throughout the ages. There are abundant traditions and myths that narrate about a 13th member of a group who is betrayed, oppressed, sacrificed, killed or transfigured. The most known, besides Jesus and his 12 apostles, are King Arthur and the 12 Knights of the Round Table, the god Baldur and the 12 deities of the Valhalla, Mithra, Philip II of Macedon, etc.

In the zodiac signs the shift between each sign and their number is sequential, i.e. 1-2-3-4-etc., up to 12 where the sequence stops and all goes back to 1. It is in this shift that the mystery of the 13th dwells. It is here that the unseen is provisionally unveiled and become available only to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.

On a pragmatic level, when you reach this strategic Gap, you confront the opportunity of definitively leaving behind outworn scripts, embracing the luminous story which longs to emerge, taking pragmatic steps in this regard and finally leap. Mind the Gap!

A smile behind the mask

Masks may hide smiles, while lack of physical closeness and contacts may prevent expressions of love, but if smiles and love are authentic, you can find other creative ways to show them. You can use your eyes, looking at whoever and whatever you meet with love. If you stay at home and don’t see anyone, you can always smile in solitude while thinking about someone or something. No matter what happens in the world, you can always imagine many beautiful things and smile.
Maybe it may be legitimate to object that in current circumstances there is not so much to smile about.
Why have you smiled in the past?
For good news? For a narrow escape? For the illusion that your happiness could last forever or as long as possible? To exhibit optimism and well-being?
Life in this world is packed with situations of illness, pain and death, as well as moments of health, pleasure and life. But in the end, as you know, everything here always deteriorates and dies without exceptions.
Only when the situation affects us personally or it becomes a public emergency, then we finally wake up and realize that the emergency has always been there.
But this is not a good reason to stop smiling.
How things turn out in this world we’ve always known. And it is precisely when they really end or could end, that you can understand the true meaning of your smile, as well as all your smiles.
A smile, at this moment, is not an exhibition of optimism, nor a way to show trust and support positive thinking. A smile cannot be another mask, a mask behind the smile.
A smile can now simply be a smile, without any end, which opens up to the inner mystery of its presence, a smile behind the mask.

The Blessed Way of Passion, Easter spiritual healing retreats, 4-5; 6-10; 11-13 April 2020, Merizzo (Massa, Italy)

This spiritual healing retreats consist of three workshops:

Basic Workshop (4-5 April 2020), Holy Week Retreat (6-10 April 2020) and Easter Retreat (11-13 April 2020).

We will use spiritual healing and shamanic tools for soul retrieval and unification of consciousness based on astroshamanism and the teachings of A Course in Miracles.

Basic Workshop (4-5 April 2020)

This workshop is designed to promote a gentle intimacy with your senses as gateways into your inner world. It is a basic introduction to soul retrieval & multidimensional awareness. Through shamanic trance, energy work, soul retrieval and interaction with the environment, we receive visions and insights, redeploying energy and passion in accordance with one’s life purpose and the web of life. The workshop is also a celebration of Palm Sunday and the start of the Holy Week.

The workshop starts at around 10:30 am on Saturday and ends at around 6 pm on Sunday. It is possible to arrive earlier or stay extra nights and continue with the Holy Week Retreat. It is possible to arrive earlier.

Holy Week Retreat (6-10 April 2020)

During this five-day course participants will experience advanced applications of astroshamanic soul retrieval and healing. Drawing from the wisdom of astroshamanic practices, we will experience ways to realign with the sacredness of our nature, releasing wounds inherited by our past and supporting the emergence of a healing consciousness. We will learn various healing modalities in alignment with the astrological archetypes, developing trust both in giving and receiving. We will also experience the multidimensional features of relationships, employing techniques aimed at releasing grievances and intense feelings accumulated in our life, promoting forgiveness, transformation and unconditional love. The Basic Workshop is a prerequisite for attendance.

The workshop ends at around 6 pm on 10 April and can be followed by the Easter Retreat (11-13 April 2020).

Easter Retreat (11-13 April 2020).

A special three-day retreat at the peak of the Holy Week and Easter, with astroshamanic healing sessions, celebrations and ritual.

How to get to Il Casale:
By car: take A15 (Autostrada della Cisa) Parma/La Spezia, exit at Pontremoli if you come from the North, or Aulla if from the South. Continue to Villafranca in Lunigiana, then to Merizzo (5,20 km). Once in Merizzo, use as reference the Church of the Archangel Michael. 50 metres after the church turn left at the little parking square then take the only path to the left. After one km you will receive our parking.
By train: you can arrive to Villafranca/Bagnone railway station with the line Milan-Livorno or La Spezia-Parma. Let us know your time of arrival and we will pick you up.
By plane: the closest airport is Pisa’s Galileo Galilei. Also the airports of Florence and Genoa are close.

Originally scheduled in Berlin before the pandemic spread, this workshop takes place by Skype, with Franco Santoro from the Institutum Provisorium, assisted by Giorgia Pecora from Door of Lotus.

This is a unique workshop, which explores sexuality and intimate relationships from a multidimensional and shamanic perspective with the aim of healing connections with yourself, partners, relatives, friends, significant people in your life, as well as unseen forces and Spirit.

Drawing from the astroshamanic healing approach, we will track and release blocks that inhibit the capacity to express our true sexuality, identifying the underlying issues that hinder relationships, promoting compassion, healing, peace and fulfilment.

The workshop is designed for all types of individuals, sexually active or in chastity, encompassing singles or couples in intimate, platonic or spiritual connections.
