#TuesdayTreasures Fall #RomanticTravel with Linda O'Connor
Good Morning!
It's that time again...time for sharing romantic travel ideas and Tuesday Treasures. Luckily we're combining the two today.
Linda O'Connor is new to me and therefore, new to our blog so without much further ado, let's get to know her....
Linda O’Connor started writing a few years ago when she needed a creative outlet other than subtly rearranging the displays at HomeSense. It turns out she loves writing romantic comedies and has a few more stories to tell. When not writing, she’s a physician at an Urgent Care Clinic (well, even when she is writing she’s a physician, and it shows up in her stories). She hangs out at www.lindaoconnor.net and the following SM places....

Now let' see what Linda's Fall Romantic Travel idea is....
What happened in Pompeii, Italy is tragic, but the glimpse into life almost 2000 years ago is truly breathtaking.
From illuminating their streets with embedded reflective stone to heating their homes with flowing hot water to their complex city-wide water system, the city is a fascinating look at engineering at its finest.
Sharing the wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage site is my idyllic romantic travel destination.
Wow Linda, Pompeii sounds lovely! Putting it on my wish list.
Now let's find out about Linda's book.....
Falling in love is Perfectly Unpredictable …
Kalia Beck always dreamed of starting a family, living in a house with a white picket fence, and finding her soul mate. Just not in that order. Kalia is coping with an unplanned pregnancy when she learns the father has passed away. She soon finds out that single parenthood isn’t easy, especially when the only thing that soothes the baby is the guitar-playing of a reluctant and reclusive next-door neighbor.
Mack Challen, lead guitarist in a rock and roll band, knows it takes a village to raise a child. He just doesn't think there's a village big enough to help “gay momma” and her screaming baby.
Kalia and Mack aren't looking for love and aren't ready for each other, but when the future unfolds, it’s … Perfectly Unpredictable.
Perfectly unpredictable moments touch your heart the most.
EXCERPT:
Kalia pounded on her neighbor’s front door with her free hand. The other cradled a screaming Mani. In the last fifteen days, except for the past three, the neighbor had played his guitar from six until eight every night. And soothed Mani. It was the only thing that worked to calm the colic. No amount of rocking, walking, or singing worked to soothe the baby like fifteen minutes of guitar music. It was faintly amazing and fairly irritating that Kalia had to depend on the neighbor’s guitar playing. He was home. She knew he was home. There was a new car in the driveway, and she could hear voices. So why wasn’t he answering the door? She pounded again. The door swung open, and Kalia yelped at the suddenness of it. Mani screamed louder.Mack frowned at them. “What?” he asked tersely.Kalia groaned inwardly. It was the first time she had seen the neighbor close up. Six foot two, short dark hair with a sexy scruff, broad shoulders in a dark T-shirt, slim hips covered in worn sexy jeans, bare feet, and angry green eyes. Great. Just what she needed. A pissed-off lifeline. “Hi. I live next door. I need you to play guitar,” she said in a rush above Mani’s wailing.“What?” His eyebrows winged up, and he put his hands on his hips.“Why aren’t you playing guitar? You play guitar every night at this time.”He shook his head. “I have company.”“Well, you’re very good at guitar. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind listening to it for a few minutes.” Mani screamed louder. Desperate, Kalia strode in, noting that the layout to his home was the same as hers. Getting a fleeting impression of dark colors and sparse furniture, she moved past him into the living room. “Hello,” she said to the gorgeous brunette curled up on the dark leather sofa. “Would you mind very much if . . . he,” she gestured vaguely, realizing that she wasn’t sure of his name, “played guitar for a few minutes? Just a few minutes. It won’t take long.”Mack followed her in. “Renee, this is my neighbor, half of the gay couple that lives next door, and her screaming baby,” he said wryly.Kalia’s eyebrows shot up. “Yup, that’s me. The lesbian from next door,” she said with some chagrin. Is that what the neighborhood thought? She was living under a rock. “And we just need a little guitar music if you don’t mind.” She spied two guitars leaning on stands across the room and waved in their direction. “Whichever works.” Time’s a wastin’.

#SaturdaySpotlight is on Jeremy Higley & The Son of Dark
Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday Spotlight!
Well the temperatures have dropped enough over the week to make it feel like fall her in SW Louisiana. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Florida and the Carolina's and everywhere else Hurricane Mike decides to plunder.
Today's guest has shared something he treasures with us before, so we welcome Jeremy Higley back to share more info on his book, Tales of the Darksome Torn: The Son of Dark.
A thousand years ago, the wizards of the Nynsa failed to follow the prophecy of the Darksome Thorn, and now the greatest evil of their time has survived into the next age.
Now, the Darksome Thorn has revealed a new prophecy, and the very evil they failed to kill is working to use that prophecy to his advantage.
Forces of evil run rampant in the land of Duskain. Ancient powers are stirring. A greater darkness is imminent...
...and Skel, the foster son of an elephant herder, finds himself caught in the middle of everything. Will Skel's newly developing powers be a help or a hindrance...
EXCERPT:
Marga pointed to the south. Zar didn’t turn, but he heard a gasp of recognition from Skel.“Aja-aja,” he said with concern. “Three of them, about two miles away.”
Zar sighed in trepidation. The aja-aja were rare, enormous snakes prowling the Eltar plains, preying on elephants and any herders foolish enough to attack them. They had three heads each and stocky, powerful bodies to match, and could grow to over forty feet long. They killed and then predigested their prey by spitting streams of corrosive poison from their mouths.
“The aja-aja will be no problem,” he bluffed, staring into Marga’s eyes. “I have two magic-users with me now, a wizard and a Phage. They’re perfectly capable of dispatching a few overgrown snakes.”
“If so, then I’ll simply have to wait longer to be reunited with my precious one,”the Wyvern said, eyeing the flattened snake corpses around her.
Something inside Zar began to burn like a fuse at the words “precious one.”
“You knew her before, I presume,” he continued, his voice much quieter. “Before you kidnapped her, I mean, and took over her mind.”
“She was mine to take,” the Wyvern retorted through Marga’s lips. “She was always mine to take.”The last words hissed from Marga’s mouth like a challenge. Zar’s fingers wrapped around his sword’s hilt. He wanted nothing more at this moment than a way to strike athis enemy, but the Wyvern was far, far away.
“If you want her,” Zar said, “you’ll have to kill me.”
“Too risky,” the Wyvern replied. “You crave nothing more than to die for her. To kill you might break my grip.”
“If you don’t kill me she will never truly be yours,” Zar said. He walked to within an arm’s length of her. “As long as there’s breath in me, I will always be fighting to freeher.”
“I’m sure you mean that,” the Wyvern said. “Once you’re dead, there’s nothing to stop me from singing her back to me.”
Wow! You can purchase Tales of the Darksome Torn: The Son of Dark through his publisher, Class Act Books, Amazon, Amazon UK and Smashwords.
Jeremy Higley was born in California but now lives in Arizona. As of 2016 he’s a graduate student working on a master’s degree in English. He’s also an instructional aide at a local elementary school, a novelist, and a contributing editor for a nonprofit student success company called LifeBound.

#ThursdayThoughts Fall #RomanticTravel with Anita Philmar
Good Morning Friends!
Today we welcome Anita Philmar back to our blog, this time as part of the Fall Romantic Travel blog exchange.
Anita has been here several times in the past, for other blog exchanges so she is no stranger to us. Although her normal genre is erotic romance, today Anita and I are pleased to bring to your attention a brand new collection of sweet to sensual cowboy ghost stories.
Sounds like a whole other country right LOL!
Anyway without further ado....here's Anita....
I believe visiting wineries is a great way to have a short romantic escape. Almost every state has a few and most are affordable, running anywhere from free to $20 for a tasting.
While in Nebraska where McKee’s Ghost story takes place, I had a chance to visit a few. As you can see by the picture, it’s a great to unwind and relax.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Nebraska is certainly on my "to visit" list Anita!
Now let's find out a little more about Anita's contribution to this collection, The Good, The Bad and the Ghostly.....
Blurb for McKee’s Ghost
His fiancée called off their engagement after be accosted by a ghost in his house. Now, a beautiful ghost detective has shown up at his ranch, saying his brother has hired her to take care of the unwanted spirit.
Konnor McKee is more than happy with PSI Agent Ruth Oliva Wilson. One look and he was hooked. Now, if he can only get some help from a ghost, he might be able to secure himself a bride after all.
With the return of his ex-fiancee, his life is turn upside down by an angry ghost, a vindictive woman and a sexy medium. Konnor doesn’t know which way to turn.
Can he get everyone out of this alive and marry the PSI Agent?
Or has he lost all hope of a happy future because of the ruthless ghost of one of his ancestors?
Excerpt:
Somehow, Konnor must have realized her inability to stand. Because one minute, Ruth stood before him, the next he’d swept her up in his embrace. “My, but you are a tiny thing.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck and worked to clear her vision while her head still spun in circles. “What are you doing?”
“Carrying you upstairs. A pint-sized woman like you must be exhausted from your trip. What time did you start out?” Konnor walked up the stairs without giving her a chance to demand that he release her.
Her gaze narrowed in on the strong column of his neck. The word determined joined the stubborn tag she’d used to describe him. Nonetheless, she appreciated his assistance. The ache in her feet eased, and she snuggled closer, letting his strength revive hers. Still the man was being awful forward. She needed to remind him she expected to be treated as a professional, not his lover. “I’m not exactly sure when the train left Omaha, they were running late.”
“Omaha?” He paused outside a doorway and released her legs. Her body swung against his. He tightened his hold on her waist and drew her into his chest. “That means you’ve been traveling all day.”
“Yes, after I got to Shelton. I managed to get a ride with a couple who let me off about two or three miles down the road from your house.” She recalled the older man and his wife. They had encouraged her to go home with them and pay a visit to Konnor tomorrow after she’d given herself an opportunity to rest. She smiled. “Mr. and Mrs. Stout. They said they didn’t live too far from here.”
“Yes, they have a place near my parents.” He continued to examine her. A frown formed on his mouth and brow, each leveling out into a straight line. “And I’m sure they stopped by there to tell them I have a visitor. Which means, we might have a problem when they find out you’re staying here alone with me.”
“Why? I’m here on assignment.” Ruth had run into this situation before and understood how her bunking at a client’s home inspired rumors. “It’s not like anything is going on between us. I’m a respected agent.”
He squeezed her tighter against his chest and lowered his head. His eyes alight with desire, he whispered against her lips, “Wrong. One look and I was smitten. Now, holding you in my arms, I’m ready—”
~*~ ~*~ ~*~

#TuesdayTreasures Guest Post by Marie Treanor
Good Morning and Welcome!
Today's guest is no stranger to our blog. Marie has shared thoughts with us and had our spotlight on her. She returns to share something she treasures....
Like most people, I consider my real treasures in life to be my family and friends. However, for many reasons – not least of which is that one’s own children are never half so interesting to anyone else - I’ve decided to concentrate on inanimate treasure, although it is connected to family.
This is a part of the treasure I want to share with you: a tea set bought in Japan in 1917 by my great uncle for his mother, and passed on, eventually, to me via his sister, my grandmother, and then my father,
All the time I knew her, my grandmother lived in a one-bedroom tenement flat, a positive treasure trove of dusty antiques and old books. The front room, which was never used, was stuffed full of large, Edwardian furniture – a piano, velvet upholstered dining chairs, an oak table and a tall, wide bookcase with glass doors. I’ve often regretted that when my parents were clearing the house, I didn’t have a place of my own to house this stuff. However, on my appeal, they did keep some of the books.
And other treasure discovered in the walk-in cupboard, which included my great grandmother’s jewelry and, of course, the Japanese tea set, which my Dad remembered from his childhood.
My parents had it valued once, and apparently because there are a lot of these tea sets around still, it isn’t worth much in monetary terms. But I hope you can see from the photograph one of the reasons I treasure this is its sheer beauty. Egg-shell china in gorgeous colours, elegantly painted. As well as the cups and saucers, there are tea plates, a tea pot, a water pot and a sugar bowl. I love just looking at it. But I also love the family connection. It was bought by a young man I never knew, a merchant seaman who survived World War I, only to die at the age of 25 in the flu epidemic of 1919.
I have a photograph of “Uncle Johnny” and one of my great grandmother who was, by all accounts, a strong yet fun woman who helped bring up my Dad. So, while the tea set wouldn’t be quite such a great treasure to me without the family connection, it strengthens and enhances that connection, seems to bring me closer to my Dad’s beloved granny and to the son she lost so tragically.
Thanks, Pamela, for letting me share my treasure!

#SaturdaySpotlight Fall #RomanticTravel with Rachelle Paige
Good Morning and Welcome to the first Saturday Spotlight in October!
I love meeting new authors and that's one reason I enjoy blog exchanges like Fall Romantic Travel.
Today's guest is brand new (to me and our blog) and I'm pleased to introduce her to you!
Rachelle stumbled into the world of romance novels in college; as a way to help speed up reading through Art History textbooks. After years in the professional world writing dry grant proposals and auction descriptions, she started writing the contemporary romance stories she wanted to read. Setting her books in some of her favorite destinations was her inspired way to require plenty of research trips every year with her family.
Connect with Rachelle at her Website, Good Reads, Twitter, Facebook and Amazon.
Let's see what Rachelle's Romantic Travel place is....
I love Georgia’s Golden Isles, the setting for this book
series. Jekyll Island is an especially romantic place with beautiful stretches of sandy beach begging for a lover’s stroll, bike paths galore perfect for bicycles built for two, and lodging at the Jekyll Island Club built by the millionaires of the Victorian Era.
Oh wow...I haven't been there yet but definitely adding the Georgia Golden Isles to my list of places to visit in the future!
Now about the book.....
Civil engineer Kim Meyers has built a solid career on establishing order in the midst of construction chaos. Living off the coast of Georgia as a Midwest transplant, she’s made a life for herself amidst the waves, tourists, and palm trees of the Golden Isles. Keeping her focus on her work and her community, she hasn’t had time to stop and consider how much she’s already lost. Until her former flame, Landon Beau IV, swoops in and snatches up her next project.
Excerpt: Clack clack clack, the head council member’s gavel slapped against the folding table bringing order back to the room. The hum of murmured conversations shared between the locals dimmed. Planning commissions meetings had grown into increasingly crowded affairs as development of St. Simons Island exploded.Suddenly, a familiar set of aqua eyes caught her attention. What on earth was he doing here? A spark electrified her, shooting down her back and through her limbs. No one could instantly make her crackle with awareness like Landon Beau could. For some reason the sizzle had lasted for more than ten years. Kim didn’t know if she wanted to laugh or scream or cry. But today she couldn’t let him distract her from her mission. She understood what she had to do. She needed to help the Society of Coastal Living, aka SCL, to save the stretch of land on the north end of the island near her grandmother’s house. She wouldn’t rest until the island had no more room for development. Control. Order. Efficiency. She had to stay focused. The council member cleared his throat to address the crowded room. “We will be moving forward with LB Holdings, granting a preliminary rezoning permit for a subdivision. They have proposed a development that meets all the necessary specifications and requirements, and this committee feels will be a benefit to the island.” Her chest seized as the words reached her. She had failed. An even worse, she’d let down her Grandma Rose. Her vision blurred. She didn’t see the council members conclude the meeting or her fellow volunteers from the SCL get up and leave. The scrape of metal folding chairs being dragged against the floor echoed in her ears drowning out all other sounds. LB Holdings would be tearing apart the land just down the street from Grandma Rose. Her quality of life would be destroyed. The rumble of trucks and crash of machinery would become a constant soundtrack for the next year on Grandma Rose’s wraparound porch, blocking out the sounds of the marsh. And the reward at the end would be a congested nightmare to get to and from her grandmother’s home. How could she have let her best friend down? Why hadn’t she pushed harder? Why hadn’t she gone door to door to get support? Why hadn’t she done more?Questions and regrets circled in her mind, keeping her gaze hazy and unfocused until a warm palm on her shoulder suddenly made her flinch. She jerked her hands up to a defensive position, palms out in front of her face, and then froze. Standing before her, he was impossibly handsome with his chiseled features and sandy blonde hair styled without a strand out of place. His piercing blue eyes locked onto hers. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. Her gaze drifted to his lips, transfixed by the easy smile that made his mouth off-center.

#ThursdayThoughts Guest post by Anna del Mar
Good Morning Friends!
Today's guest is brand new to me and, therefore, new to our blog.
Anna del Mar writes hot, smart romances that soothe the soul, challenge the mind, and satisfy the heart. Her stories focus on strong heroines struggling to find their place in the world and the brave, sexy, kickass, military heroes who defy the limits of their broken bodies to protect the women they love. Anna enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and the sea. Writing is her addiction, her drug of choice, and what she wants to do all the time. The extraordinary men and women she met during her years as a Navy wife inspire the fabulous heroes and heroines at the center of her stories. When she stays put—which doesn’t happen very often—she lives in Florida with her indulgent husband and two very opinionated cats.
So nice to meet you Anna! Now let's see what she has to share with us....
I’ve always loved traveling. I find joy in the journey and satisfaction in the learning that comes from it, in meeting new people and experiencing other cultures. But the first time I traveled to Alaska, I found something else: inspiration for my writing, a strong creative drive to share the beauty I discovered there with my readers. I kept going back for more.
From my personal, life-transforming travels through Alaska, my latest romantic suspense, The Stranger, was born. The Stranger is the second book of my Wounded Warrior Series, following on the heels of my Amazon bestseller, The Asset . The Stranger features Summer Silva and Seth Erickson, fire and ice, a most unlikely pair. I like to say that fiery Summer’s character benefited from all of my Alaskan misadventures—believe me, there were plenty of those and they weren’t always pretty or dignified—while icy Seth is Alaska in the flesh.
The story goes something like this: When her sister runs away with a guy she met on the internet, Summer, a warmth-loving Miami architect chases her reckless sibling to Alaska and finds her life in danger from more than the elements. Only a stranger, Seth, a wounded warrior who is also a powerful Alaskan tycoon with a quarreling family as complicated as Summer’s and no time for a lady in distress can save her from disaster. Together, two strangers from different worlds and opposite spectrums of the thermometer must unravel the intrigues that threaten their lives to chase after a new dream, in majestic Alaska.
The vastness, the beauty and the character of Alaska inspired me to write The Stranger. I hope that when you read the story, you are inspired as well. So come along on the journey. I’m happy to share. You can visit Alaska from the comfort of your reader and laugh, cry and feel along with Summer and Seth as they fight their demons and find forever love. And if you fall in love with Alaska, well, believe me. I understand.
***Here’s a first review of The Stranger. And it’s an awesome one! http://www.theromancereviews.com/viewbooksreview.php?bookid=22690
Wow...that's wonderful Anna! My brother and his family live in AK and although I enjoy visiting, I wouldn't want to live there...although I can see how/why you find it inspiring.
Thanks for sharing with us!
N ow here's a little about Anna's book....
Ex-military pilot Seth Erickson is fighting his own demons, but when he finds Summer Silva, a beautiful, warmth-loving, Miami woman stranded in the frozen wilderness, he’ll do everything in his power to keep her safe from murder, treason, and the ruthless Alaskan winter.
When a mysterious stranger is your only hope...
The scars of the past have left their mark, both physical and emotional, on former military pilot Seth Erickson. Off-grid in the far reaches of the bitter Alaskan wilderness, he wants only to be left alone with his ghosts. But he can’t ignore a woman in need—beautiful, stranded and nearly frozen with fear.
Summer Silva never imagined that the search for her missing sister would leave her abandoned on a wintry back road, barely escaping with her life from a cold-blooded killer for hire. Now, hiding out in the isolated cabin of the secretive wounded warrior who saved her, Summer knows she must do what she fears most. Putting her trust in a stranger is all she has left.
All defenses are down
After a fiery first night together, Seth and Summer are bound by a need as powerful as a Bering Sea superstorm—and vulnerable to enemies just as fierce. For Seth, reawakened by desire, there is no sacrifice too great, no memory too dark, to keep Summer safe. But murder and treason lurk everywhere and Summer may not survive Alaska’s ruthless winter. A Wounded Warrior Novel. This book is approximately 110,000 words

#TuesdayTreasure Our Heritage
Good Morning Friends!
My scheduled guest was unable to appear today so I'm improvising.
Not that I don't have a LOT to treasure....LOL!
I just don't have a lot of time today to put together the post I want so...One thing I treasure is my heritage and the fact I am part Cherokee. So it was a wonderful experience to visit the Museum of the Cherokee and the Oconaluftee Indian Village, in Cherokee, NC earlier this month.
Here's a slide show of some photos we took while there...
Enjoy and remember....your heritage is always something to treasure.
Hope to see you again, and every week for Tuesday Treasures, Thursday Thoughts, and Saturday Spotlight.
Until next time, take care and God Bless.

#SaturdaySpotlight is on Pastor Brian Hollins
Hello There and Welcome to the LAST Saturday Spotlight of September!
Today's guest is new and brought to us by Prime Star Publicity.
Pastor Hollins was born in Los Angeles Ca, in 1963. He moved to Shreveport La. as a child where he presently resides. He was called to ministry in November of 1999. On August 10, 2002, Pastor Hollins was appointed to the position of Pastor of Emmanuel Church of God in Christ. On May 23, 2007, Pastor Brian and First Lady Henrietta founded Emmanuel Christian Ministries renamed Abounding Grace in 2013. Pastor Hollins founded “Have Faith in God” Radio Broadcast which is heard mornings at 9:00am CST, on KOKA radio 980AM and www.koka.am and on “The Promise” on 90.7FM at 3:30pm to 4:00pm.
He is the author of two books “Don’t Take The Bait” and “Have You Received Since You Believed”. Pastor Hollins also serves as a Volunteer Chaplain for the Shreveport Fire Department. Pastor Hollins served 28 years in the Fire Service and retired March of 2009, holding the position of Chief Training Officer. He has been married for 30 years to his beautiful wife Henrietta.
Now let's enjoy an excerpt from Pastor Hollins's book, Have you Received since you Believed; Quest for the Holy Spirit....
I wrote this book in 2009, a year after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I’m sharing it with you now because I believe it will help you find and understand the ministry of the Holy Spirit. As a pastor, I am ashamed to say that for the first five years of my ministry I never really preached on the Holy Spirit. Looking back, I realize how uncomfortable I was with the topic, so I just avoided teaching on it altogether.
One day I found myself at the end of my rope, and I was ready to call it quits. I knew something was missing, and I knew it was the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Don’t ask me how I knew, I just knew. I felt that I was laboring on my own. I studied the word of God and taught each message from the Bible, yet I had a great void that was only getting larger by the week.
On this day I looked at my wife and said, “Baby, I don’t know if I can do this the rest of my life.”
It is my belief that many Christians today are falling away just due to the lack of receiving the Holy Spirit. Jesus made it clear that he would not leave us comfortless, that he would pray to the Father to send another comforter. I began to read everything I could get my hands on about the Holy Spirit. I read so much that some of the information served to confuse me even more. But I realize now how that was all a part of seeking and finding. When we seek on our own in the natural, God makes it super- natural, and things begin to happen that really can’t be explained.
All I know now is that after receiving the Holy Spirit, my life is not the same. I said earlier that I could not see myself being a pastor for the rest of my life. Now I can’t see myself doing anything else but serving God, teaching and preaching his word all my life. I believe you are reading this book because you, too, are seeking to fill a void that can only be filled by the Holy Spirit. You are on the right track and before you know it, you will be sharing your testimony of receiving the Holy Spirit.

Sounds like a very good read. Have you Received since you Believed; Quest for the Holy Spirit can be purchased at Amazon.

#ThursdayThoughts Fall #RomanticTravel with @TinaGayle
Good Morning Friends,
Today I'm pleased to bring you Fall Romantic Travel with the gal who started it all, Ms. Tina Gayle.
Tina is not a newcomer to our blog so I'm not going to take up a lot of your time with chit chat, but let her get right into her idea of romantic travel.....
One of my favorite romantic trips is to Vegas. We had plenty of time to shop, people watch and visit the sites. Also what topped the trip off was taking a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Having never been up in a helicopter before this along was a treat. The trip to the canyon and back was awesome too.
CEO’s Widow - Book 4 of the Executives' Wives' Club series
Genre:Contemporary Romance with strong women fiction elementsFour women...
One fatal car wreck...
Everyone's lives changed...
After surviving the grief from her husband’s death, Marianne Clark has built a new life with the help of the other Executive Wives. She plans to enjoy grandchildren and friends until her doctor tells her he found a lump in her breast. Her world turned upside down. She re-evaluates her priorities and decides she grab hold of life with both hands.
Knox Turner lost is first wife to cancer. He’s determined not to let Marianne face this challenge alone.
Can this couple face the trails ahead and build a future together?
Excerpt:Incapable of resisting, Marianne set a hand on his chest and absorbed the pleasure of being in this man’s arms again. Too bad the bliss couldn’t last longer. He needed to get back to work. She had errands to run. “Knox, you’re making it harder and harder to resist you.”“Then don’t. We’ve both had more than enough time to know what we want. Jack and Betty both died almost two years ago. We needed to move on.” He caressed a hand along her back, easing her body even closer to the hard line of his.
Marianne smiled. She’d known him for years as her husband’s boss and respected for all he’d accomplished in the business world. Her hang-up over their age difference grew less and less important as more time passed. “Shouldn’t we at least date a few other people first? Test the water. Make sure we’re not making a mistake by latching onto the first person we’re attracted to.”
“Good, so you admit you find me attractive?” He lowered his head and nuzzled the side of her neck, playfully nipping at her ear.
She sighed. His tantalizing touch and the deep rumble of his voice tempted her into sliding her hand along the back of his neck. Her fingers slid through his silky hair, and she marveled at sensual thrill of being so close to him. For months now, she’d convinced herself her life was full enough with just her kids and grandkids.
Could she be wrong?

Today I'm pleased to bring you Fall Romantic Travel with the gal who started it all, Ms. Tina Gayle.
Tina is not a newcomer to our blog so I'm not going to take up a lot of your time with chit chat, but let her get right into her idea of romantic travel.....
One of my favorite romantic trips is to Vegas. We had plenty of time to shop, people watch and visit the sites. Also what topped the trip off was taking a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Having never been up in a helicopter before this along was a treat. The trip to the canyon and back was awesome too.CEO’s Widow - Book 4 of the Executives' Wives' Club series
She re-evaluates her priorities and decides she grab hold of life with both hands.Knox Turner lost is first wife to cancer.

#TuesdayTreasures Guest post by Karen McCullough
Good Morning Friends!
Today's guest is no stranger to us so I'm just going to turn the blog straight on over to her....
I’m going to show you something that you might think is a very weird treasure. Can you even tell what they are?
If you guessed that they’re a bunch of rubber erasers, pat yourself on the back.
But they’re more than that to me. They’re mementos from my travels. The group shown above is a sample of my much more extensive collection.
It’s only in the last ten years that travel has been any sort of possibility for me. It took getting my kids through college, paying off debt, and my husband and I both moving into semi-retirement before it was even possible.
Twelve years ago my son went over to Wales to study at the University of Bangor in Wales. While there he met the woman who would become his wife, and they eventually settled in Oxford, England, when he was offered his dream job. So now I have a huge incentive to travel to England, or on occasion, to meet them in other places a young English family can reach fairly easily for vacations.
Our very first trip to England was for their wedding, and we (my husband and two daughters) decided to do some touring while we were there. We started in Edinburgh, Scotland, spent a few days there, proceeded to London for a few days, and then went on to Hastings for the wedding itself.
Of course I wanted souvenirs, but we had limited suitcase space since we were hauling them around on trains and buses. At practically our first stop in Scotland I found what would be the perfect souvenir for me.
In Europe (as in America and most places, I suppose), every tourist destination – big, small, and in between – has a gift shop. One of the staples of European gift shops are these small rubber erasers imprinted with the name of the place. And I’ve lately found that some American souvenir shops are stocking them as well.
They come in many sizes, colors, and varieties, including some shaped like books. They’re perfect souvenirs – small, light-weight, and inexpensive. I’ve been trying to buy one from every place we’ve visited ever since.
And it seems to me there’s something totally appropriate about erasers as a souvenir for an author.
Oh Wow, Karen...I collect magnets and T-shirts LOL! but these are definitely something to treasure.
