Cole is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. A Purdue graduate, Tim gathered his degree from an association of math, physics, and modern languages, unable to decide what he wanted to be when he grew up. He taught English and beginning algebra in a secondary school for a few years when he decided to try engineering. A local steel company hired him to process statistical data related to production. He began with antique, noisy, mechanical calculators and finished his career writing statistical programs on personal computers as well as main-frame systems.
He harbored a desire to write, so when the boss wasn’t looking, Tim was polishing his fiction and enhancing his vocabulary. A poetry war with a close friend drove him to avoid most rhyme ...more
