Hello and thank you for visiting my profile page. I write contemporary Gothic novels which are usually inspired by places close to where I live in the Mendips, close to Bristol in the UK, or by places I've visited, especially Italy and Sicily. The House by the Sea won the Jackie Collins Romantic Suspense Award in 2021. The Love of My Life, my first book, was longlisted for the Romantic Novel of the Year Award. My second book, Missing You, won the RNA Readers' Choice Award, and my third, The Secrets Between Us was a 2012 Richard and Judy Summer Read.

The next book, The Room in the Attic is due to be published in October 2021 and is a ghost story set in a Victorian asylum-turned-boarding school on Dartmoor.

I'm waiting for her response and fingers crossed that she'll like it enough to give it the green light to go on to publication. I'm writing book seven, which is by far the most complicated book so far, but one that's very close to my heart. It's a love story, but a complex one. Will reveal more later. (less)

Hi Louise, have you ever considered writing a sequel to "Love of My Life"? I loved that book and it would be great to see how Olivia goes forward. Does she end up with the chef from the coffee shop, how Marc fares with Natalie, etc. Please consider. It would be soo nice to have more, loved this book!! Thank you, Marilyn

I'm so sorry you must have thought me very rude not to respond. Firstly I'm really glad that you enjoyed Love of my Life, it's my favourite of all my books and if I do write a sequel, those are definitely the characters I'd like to return to so the answer is definitely maybe! I quite like the idea of Olivia getting romantically involved with the coffee shop man and then the pair of them opening a rival cafe to Marinella's... anyway, maybe. In answer to your second question, I had to take a year off writing for various reasons, but am just finishing a new book that I hope will be published early next year. I'll let you know. I just wanted to leave a message to say someone in our year chose your book as the next book to read for our sixth form book club. I just finished reading it and I really enjoyed it and it's definitely a book i'll remember for a while so thank you :)
