SKYBOUND GAMES ANNOUNCES NEW PUBLISHING DEAL WITH BEAMDOG TO BRING BELOVED PC ROLEPLAYING GAMES TO CONSOLE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate ll, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, and Neverwinter Nights All Coming to Console in 2019

February 7, 2019 (Los Angeles, CA) – Skybound Games and Beamdog today announced a publishing partnership that will bring classic roleplaying videogames Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate ll, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, and Neverwinter Nights to console platforms in 2019.

Beamdog is known for bringing enhanced versions of Dungeons & Dragons videogames to fans both new and old on the PC platform, including the critically acclaimed Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Planescape: Torment. Six of Beamdog’s fan-favorite games will be released on console platforms for the first time ever via Skybound all as Enhanced Editions sold at retail stores and online (www.Skybound.com). These upcoming releases will allow RPG fans the opportunity to experience epic Dungeons & Dragons adventures in a whole new way.

A selection of Beamdog’s games will be on display in the Skybound Games booth at PAX East in Boston from March 28th to March 31st, all coinciding with the first anniversary of Skybound Games as the video game publishing arm of Skybound Entertainment.

Eclipse Pictures Joins Skybound for Thriller EXO!

ECLIPSE PICTURES TO FINANCE AND DISTRIBUTE SCI-FI THRILLER “EXO” FROM SKYBOUND ENTERTAINMENT AND RADAR PICTURES

Spring 2020 shoot anticipated

LOS ANGELES, CA., February 6th, 2019 — Eclipse Pictures has boarded the Skybound Entertainment/Radar Pictures thriller Exo, which Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) will direct.

Eclipse will arrange financing for the film, and represent it for worldwide distribution. Casting will shortly be underway for a Spring 2020 production start.

Exo is an original screenplay by Adam Cohen. Skybound’s Sean Furst and Bryan Furst, and Ra-dar’s Ted Field and Mike Weber will produce the film. Executive producers are Skybound’s Rob-ert Kirkman and David Alpert, alongside Eclipse’s Benedict Carver and Daniel Diamond.

In Exo, over-imaginative high school senior Nathan has spotted an uptick in local UFO sightings, and, when the new girl next door, Kyra, starts behaving mysteriously, he becomes suspicious. De-fying his ultra-disciplined father, Jim, Nathan decides to investigate further, eventually coming to an unbelievable discovery.

“It’s exciting for Skybound and Radar to be working with Cedric and Eclipse on this highly

original take on a YA thriller,” said Bryan and Sean Furst in a joint statement. “In his original screenplay Adam has created a franchiseable world and group of characters that we believe will translate across a number of properties and formats.”

Nicolas-Troyan is represented by CAA and Cohen by Paradigm.

We are now excited to share with you that we’ve signed on writers and producers to the Summoners War animated series!

The Top Animation-Action Team Set to Expand the Summoners War Universe on the Heels of Pilot Short Film Debut

LOS ANGELES – February 06, 2019 – Skybound North/Wind Sun Sky and Com2uS announced today they have tapped Chris “Doc” Wyatt and Kevin Burke to expand the Summoners War universe, a billion-dollar IP with 100 million mobile RPG users, as writers and producers for the animated television adaptation. The series will include characters from the Summoners War “Friends & Rivals” short, debuting Summoners War’s YouTube (SummonersWarApp) on February 11, 2019.

Wyatt and Burke join Skybound North and Wind Sun Sky Entertainment CEO Catherine Winder (“Invincible,” “The Angry Birds Movie,” “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), who will serve as Executive Producer. The trio previously partnered on the animated adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s kids comic book “Super Dinosaur” in partnership with Spin Master, which aired on Teletoon in Canada.

Since Skybound and Com2uS partnered to franchise Summoners War in late 2017, the team has created 50 pieces of short-form online content that streamed on Skybound Games’ YouTube page. Fans of Skybound properties were also introduced to the world of Summoners War through a co-branded booth at Emerald City Comic-Con, and events at San Diego Comic-Con and PAX East, in 2018. The latest franchise development is the six-minute pilot short, which premieres in Los Angeles on February 9, 2019, followed by a February 11, 2019 release on Summoners War’s YouTube page.

“Having worked closely with Wyatt and Burke, I’ve witnessed their magic firsthand and could not think of a better team to give life to this series,” said Winder. “We’re pleased to get started on yet another exciting Summoners War extension sure to entertain the brand’s legion of fans and expand to new fans around the world.”

Wyatt and Burke are one of the leading animation-action writing and producing teams in Hollywood, with credits including “Super Dinosaur” (Skybound/Wind Sun Sky Entertainment/Spin Master), “Stretch Armstrong” (Hasbro Studios/Netflix), and “Iron Man: Armored Adventures” and “Ultimate Spider-Man” (Marvel/Disney XD). In the feature film business, Wyatt served as a producer on the cult-favorite “Napoleon Dynamite” (2004).

Summoners War is the flagship mobile RPG developed by Com2uS. Launched globally in 2014, the game has ranked #1 grossing in RPG games in 108 countries (App Store) and in 96 countries (Google Play). It’s hard to believe Clem’s journey is coming to an end. Just like you guys, we’re struggling to grasp the fact that the journey is almost over. But we’re so ready and thankful to have all of you alongside us as the story comes to a dramatic close. As you play through Broken Toys, the recently released Episode 3 of The Final Season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, we’re preparing for the concluding episode of the series and have some news to share…

We’re excited to announce that when Episode 4, Take Us Back, launches on March 26th, we’ll be releasing a physical boxed edition that includes the entire Final Season for Xbox One, PS4, and Switch. This version will be available at all major retailers, including right here in the Skybound Shop. So, for fans looking for a great gift to give, or to actually hold the final chapters of Clem’s story in your hands, well, you’ll soon have that chance! Here’s your first look at the box art:

Each issue of the head-banging action series features a variant cover that pays tribute to a different classic heavy metal album cover. Murder Falcon #6’s “Heavy Metal” variant cover, with art provided by acclaimed Redlands artist Vanesa Del Rey, homages Megadeth’s Rust in Peace. GammaRay to Host 5 Day Shaw Brothers Marathon!

We’ve got something a little different, but super awesome to announce! This February, GammaRay is teaming up with Celestial Pictures to host a 5 day marathon of classic Shaw Brothers’ kung fu movies only on Twitch! 44 Full-Length Classic Kung Fu Features Make their Twitch Debut to Global Interactive Audience

January 23, 2019 (Los Angeles, CA) – GammaRay and Celestial pictures today announced they will stream a Shaw Brothers movie marathon on Twitch (twitch.tv/gammaray_tv) from February 4 to February 8, 2019. The marathon will include 44 full-length features from the Shaw Brothers’ extensive library of kung fu titles, including iconic films such as King Boxer, Crippled Avengers, and Five Deadly Venoms. This viewing event will be streamed globally and exclusively on Twitch, the leading service and community for multiplayer entertainment, and marks the first time Twitch has featured kung fu films.

After the marathon airs from February 4-8, there will be double feature movie nights on Thursdays and Fridays at 5:00 pm PT for four weeks. The marathon is also the first time GammaRay has hosted full-length features on Twitch.

44 Titles will be featured during the Twitch livestream including the following kung fu classics:

King Boxer (1972): A student (Lieh Lo) of kung fu meets resistance on his way to a major Chinese tournament.

Crippled Avengers (1978): After the death of his wife, warlord Dao Tian-du (Kuan Tai Chen) turns evil and holds a town in thrall to his reign of fear with the help of his sadistic son. Four of the villain’s victims — a blind man, an amputee, a deaf-mute, and an insane fighter — seek the help of a wise kung fu master as they train to eliminate the tyrant for good.

Five Deadly Venoms (1978): A dying master sends his last student to check up on five former pupils, who each know a special style of kung fu.

Twitch streamers will also be able to co-stream the marathon. Co-streaming is a feature unique to Twitch which allows a streamer to share another channel’s video feed, but with their own commentary and community. The result is a more personalized, social experience.
