Steam-Powered 2: Two Weeks to Deadline
So, it's been a ghost town around here, I know, but I will get back to posting regularly soon. (Editing and writing take a lot out of a girl, especially when it's not the only responsibility she has, knowwhadImean?)
But I wanted to give y'all a reminder that you have about two weeks until Steam-Powered II closes for submissions. And while I've got a fair amount of queries, I've seen very few completed stories *hinthintnudgenudge*.

OMG Locus
Uhh, so, a google update just told me that Steam-Powered got reviewed in Locus? Can someone who gets Locus confirm or deny this (and if confirmed, tell me what it said?)

Moving moving moving
Right now, my new living room is half buried under Ikea boxes and suitcases, but at least the internet works (even if my desk has yet to be assembled).
As a few people may have noticed I've been scarce around here lately (and periodically silent on email), thanks to moving across the country and moving effectively twice in my new home state. This means that you may well have emailed me about something and I have not responded. If you have been waiting on a response from me about anything, please PM via LJ or email again. Please excuse the dust! It should settle soon.
Also, for those waiting on Steam-Powered books; the last of them will be going out Tuesday or Wednesday. My deepest apologies for this huge delay; when I offered preorders I did not know that my move out of state would be happening at roughly the same time the book actually became available for purchase, and that the books would take longer than I thought to print and get to me. It also hasn't helped that the only post office I can get to is open all of three hours on Saturday and being unable to drive means that I can't just nip over on a lunch break :( Please believe I've been doing my best to get this taken care of as fast as I can.

Wow. So, so far I've been open to subs for Steam-Powered II for two weeks now, and so far I've received five queries. I know there's awhile before March 30 (the closing date) rolls around, and Ididn't exactly expect to be innundated but...I'm a little worried, folks.
Regular posting will resume soon; I'm still moving and working on holding down a new job/trying to figure out what to do with my blog now that i'm entering a new stage in my life.

Just a note to keep sending me those Steam-Powered II queries. I've gotten only a handful so far, and my turn-around time, if I do say so myself, is excellent.
Steam-Powered Pre-orders have arrived!
Just letting the internet know that I have 60 books in boxes that will all be packed up tomorrow and shipped Saturday morning. Sorry again for the delay, and for the brevity of this message. Been a long day and I'm exhausted and need to do editing before I go to a little birthday celebration.

This is a little late, but it's been one of the busiest weeks I've had in, like, forever. I and possibly some of Steam-Powered's authors will be on Twitter's #steampunkchat tomorrow beginning at 9:00 pm EST (that's 6, 7 and 8 for Pacific, Mountain and Central). Just do a search for that hash tag and you will find it. Please come and ask me (us) lots of questions...otherwise I'll feel a little silly.
