Not At E3...

...but I watched the Ubi spiel tonight from home.

The fact that Joel McHale was visibly goobing on Splinter Cell: Conviction quietly made me very, very happy.

I'm ready for my basic cable closeup

Did a good job of smashing one knuckle on my left pinky today by dint of having a large tree branch fall on it. Bradford pears are the herring-scented tree equivalent of kudzu, and the two in our front yard had managed such explosive growth over the last two months that they were starting to hang low over the street. So I went after the offending bits with the appropriate hardware, and one particularly stubborn bit of ligneous obstruction came down at an unexpected angle, i.e. zero degrees.

This morning...

...I have loud sounds of crashing porcelain in the bathroom, a toilet sitting in my front yard, a mad look in my eye and Jethro Tull's "Mother Goose" stuck in my head.

It's going to be an interesting day.

Truest Blurb Ever

"When (David) Baldacci is on fire, nobody can touch him" - Booklist.

Well, of course not. He's on fire. Touching him would hurt.

More Fun With Swaptree

Some of the things I could get in exchange for Firefly Rain:

Henry V
A biography of Edna Ferber
A YA novel called Something Queer In the Cafeteria
A NASCAR-themed romance novel
A children's pop-up book called At The Zoo
Two Disney books
One Tony Hillerman
Two YA novels about adventurous owls
Not to mention Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman .

The mind, it boggles.
