Anybody in the RTP area need a bedframe?

We have two  steel bedframes - looks like a twin and a king - that need to migrate out of the garage. $20 OBO will get either one. I figured I'd post here before going all Craigslist.

Spotted on the road tonight...

A 1983 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, lovingly restored and painted metallic orange, jacked up and given spinner rims and a vanity plate.

When I was a kid, we had one of those. It was brown. No rims, no lift, no bling. Furthermore, it was brown.

The psychic disconnect, it is strong.

Sometimes you read the right book

A couple of years back, when I went to Shanghai for Splinter Cell: Double Agent, I traveled with a rather large pile of books. There's a hotel in Paris that's got an entire library of James Lee Burke and Lawrence Block out of that.

When grilling buffalo bratwurst...

....it is very important not to look away from the grill for even a moment. Otherwise, all the smoke will escape from inside the brat.

Cinematic thought

Between Watchmen, Wolverine, and now Up, we are living in the great age of the cinematic opening montage.

Not Quite Sure Where This One Came From

I've been pecking off and on this week at a story called "The Mad Eyes of the Heron King". The tone, best as I can describe it, rests somewhere equidistant from Clark Ashton Smith and The Office.

I have no idea where it came from. But so far, it's working, and really, that's all I can ask for.
