Destiny Discoverer-Cliff Michaels

Welcome back to the Destiny Discoverers Interview Series.

These are people that I have personally invited to play because I sense their big heart,  open mind, and  ability to succeed  on their path of Purpose…today we are talking with Cliff Michaels.  Cliff brings in a new and grounded perspective with his entrepreneurial vision, and “4 essentials” that help people to become a success in life and business.  One of my passions is real estate and that is one of the many reasons I am so pleased to share Cliff’s wisdom with you.  Being grounded and “real to life” leads to success with ease. 

What were the stepping-stones that allowed you to step into your True Purpose/Destiny?

Passion, Purpose, Patience, Practice :  Love what you do, give back, and make it meaningful. Do that and you’ll jump out of bed each day saying, “What’s next?” I have a love for learning and a passion for helping others.The secret to any success I’ve had however was combining those abilities with hyper-focus.

I’m dyslexic but was undiagnosed growing up so I never understood why reading and math were difficult. As a home

alone kid with divorced parents, I focused on reading a ton to occupy time (albeit slowly). To compensate for the reading

challenge, I learned to speed read (forcing my eyes to catch keywords), and I wrote a lot of short stories. Writing ignited a

passion for words, creative thinking, and problem solving. As a result, I learned to condense ideas or capture the essence

of written material rather quickly. The core of my book, The 4 Essentials of Entrepreneurial Thinking was built in part on

those early challenges as a kid.

I also dreamed of playing professional soccer, but injuries ended my athletic career before it started. That forced

me to think differently about life and career goals. I had a foundation for practice and teamwork. That served me well.

But as a semi-dyslexic insomniac, I was unemployable in my mind and opted for entrepreneurial pursuits, primarily real

estate.

Penniless when I left home at 18, I managed to get through a year at USC as a gopher for real estate mentors. That

enabled me to build strong investor relations at a young age and enabled me to leverage partners to buy properties.

I just kept asking what if, why not, how can I help? Those simple entrepreneurial questions helped me build a powerful business network and a ton of referral business at a young age.

What did you have to let go of in order to truly follow your path?

I always felt like a misfit. I was too naive to know what I couldn’t do so most of the time I just did it. I let go of (or

perhaps never bought into) a popular notion that says innate talent, a degree, socio-economic advantage, or higher

intelligence are proxies for success. I also dropped my ego after many years of trying to do it all on my own. I like to

say “have the humility to know what you don’t know, don’t like, don’t want to do, or don’t have time for. Then you can focus on what you do best, delegate, collaborate, or eliminate the rest.”

I’m also a minimalist. The more I get rid of, the more abundance I attract in my personal and professional life

because there’s less noise and clutter.

Entrepreneurs are more concerned with doing than data. I never had a need for information overload or paralysis by analysis. I believe in learning from everyone and taking immediate action. While many friends were busy writing business plans, I was seeking investment partners, prospecting for deals, and buying real estate with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. I let go of believing you needed cash to start. I learned early in my business career that venture capital doesn’t drive entrepreneurship; entrepreneurial thinking (being of service and hardcore action lead to success and happiness), attracts clients, capital, and revenue. I even negotiated my first office space for free in the luxury Fox Plaza of century city (Nakatomi Plaza from the movie Die Hard). I simply bartered my services in exchange for free rent, phones, and furniture. IT was like a jackpot for a start up in my early 20s.

What did you say yes to?

EVERYTHING & EVERYONE. If you start with no, you have no opportunity. But not every opportunity is good… it may

even be a threat to your central focus. You need balance. Threats (like competitors) can also be great opportunities for

learning or partnerships. So I always start with YES, then analyze whether or not the short or long-term opportunity is

worth the time, money, effort, relationship, or experience.

What were the key actions you took to start creating the destiny you wanted to experience for yourself?

Show up early & work hard. Find your unique ability and leap! My mantra again — Focus on what you do best,

delegate, collaborate then eliminate the rest. But most importantly, care the most and show extreme gratitude.

You can’t take friends or clients for grated. I started writing 5 handwritten thank-you notes per day at 18 and never

stopped.  I’ve never advertised. But I’ve build a lifetime referral business of the highest quality. Quantity never matters when you have quality.

I also believe in personal & professional growth going hand in hand. Complacency is the enemy of entrepreneurial

thinking. By the same time, you have to know when to chill out. That humility comes with some experience. The sooner

we surround ourselves with complimentary talent, teams, and values, the sooner we find our niche. Not everyone is

willing to do the work however and that’s where they fall short.

What is one key nugget of wisdom you wish to share from your journey?

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken (that’s my favorite Oscar Wilde quote). Be humble. No you limits and unique ability so

you can FOCUS. But it’s not enough to write goals, follow your passion, or even focus your intention. You can run east

looking for sunsets all day long and never find what you’re after because your sprinting in the wrong direction.

Destiny Discoverer-Shann Vander Leek, Transformation Goddess

Welcome to our 11 day Odyssey of Interviews called ”Destiny Discoverers”  

These are people that I have personally invited to play because I sense their

big heart,  and  ability to succeed  on their path of Purpose…..today we continue with interview #6, Shann Vand er Leek .   I admire her mission to help women be the

Goddesses that they are and to live life on your unique Soul’s terms.  She is a shining example of leaving behind your “default reality” and stepping into your Destiny. 

What were the stepping stones that allowed you to step into your True Purpose/Destiny?

The first major step or change that allowed me to step into my truth was the birth of my daughter. The second was practicing Yoga and gaining the awareness of wanting to make a difference in the world. As much as I liked leading and coaching my sales force, I no longer had an interest in selling commercial  advertising time. The third step was a regime change at my place of employment. The micro-scrutiny was incredibly irritating after 9 years of being left to do my job and make the company fat cash. I simply had to get my plans together to leap from conventional security to unconventional wisdom. The last step before moving forward included a trip to Mexico with my husband to discuss a the shift and how this decision would effect our lifestyle. My husband’s unconditional love and support was and still is an incredible gift.

What did you have to let go of in order to truly follow your path?
 I walked away from a six-figure income with all of the trappings to follow my entrepreneurial path. I let go of a high-powered job and the only professional identity I’d ever known. I let go of the need to “do the right thing and hunker down”. I let go of the politics that came with my role in the rat race. I let go of an unhealthy circle of influence. I could write a 1000 word blog post on all that I let go of, and then some. To fully experience liberation, you have to be willing to walk away from the lifestyle you’ve grown accustomed to living. What did you say yes to?
 I said yes to my life. I said yes to my family. I said yes to my divine feminine sovereignty. I said yes to my creativity. I said yes to driving a stick shift! I said yes to rocking my truth, following my passion and reveling in my true calling.  I said yes to creating my life on my own terms! YES YES YES!
What were the key actions you took to start creating the destiny you wanted to experience for yourself?
 The key steps I made to become an entrepreneur and transformational coach began with a close inspection of my finances and a giant mind-map. I interviewed a professional coach about my chosen profession. I earned my Coach Training Alliance coaching certification. I hired an extraordinary transition coach.  It’s interesting to look back at all that was involved in creating my new business. At the time, I face my fears, made a punch list and went for it!  The result is True Balance International. Almost 6 years after starting my new life as an entrepreneur, I am coaching professional women in transition. I wrote a book, Life on Your Terms, created several websites, became a three-time best selling co-author, earned my yoga teaching certificate and created several coaching products like the Life On Your Terms Series,  Creating supportive transformational offerings like The Transformation Goddess Experience keeps me engaged. I am inspired to share my light with as many people as I can.
What is one key nugget of wisdom you wish to share from your journey? 
 It’s never too soon, nor too late to follow your passion. Open your heart and get moving.

continue with interview #5, David Kennet,  someone I met through Facebook because he posted something on my wall. Lo and behold, I did a little more research and found that I resonated with his message of holistic and emotional health and thought he would be perfect for this series. David also performs sound healing ceremonies and is basically quite an impressive and enlightened overall “good guy.”

What were the stepping stones that allowed you to step into your True Purpose/Destiny?

One stepping stone was having a loving childhood with parents who gave me space to discover who I was and what my interests were. At the young age of 6 they introduced to Dr. Kenneth G. Mills who later became my spiritual Teacher for 16 years. His life and teaching opened my heart and I began to awaken to my unlimited love Nature and connection to the Divine. One of the most significant moments in my life was when I decided to leave college after one year to study with Dr. Mills. I enjoyed college and yet I felt an intensely strong fire within me to abandon normalcy and follow my heart. At first this came as a challenge and surprise to my parents but later they were more than pleased that I had found something that was awakening me to my God given talents. Remaining true to my heart proved to my key.

What did you have to let go of in order to truly follow your path?

I had to let go of what others thought of me. Trying to please everyone is impossible and such a terrible waste of energy. Intuition has always guided me to where I needed to be.

What did you say yes to?

I said “Yes” to limitless possibilities and allowing unconditional Love to fully consume me.

What were the key actions you took to start creating the destiny you wanted to experience for yourself?

Leaving college to study with a spiritual Teacher, getting a formal education in Nutrition and starting my own business based on empowering others on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

What is one key nugget of wisdom you wish to share from your journey?

Learn what wisdom you can from others but be sure you follow your own path. No one knows you like you know yourself. You can never go wrong if allow your own Heart to be the loudest voice to guide you upon this wonderful life journey.

Destiny Discoverer-Edie Weinstein, The Bliss Mistress

Welcome back to the 11 day Odyssey of Interviews called ”Destiny Discoverers”  

These are people that I have personally invited to play because I sense their big heart, open mind, and ability to succeed  on their path of Purpose…..today we begin with interview #4, Edie Weinstein,  someone I recently have come to know about because of our mutual love of writing and spirituality.  I admire her mission to help people live with more bliss and joy.  I know you will love this interview from this blissful Goddess.
What were the stepping stones that allowed you to step int your True Purpose/Destiny?
The first was to recognize where my physical and metaphorical feet were planted. For the longest time, they were on shifting sands and I felt like I had to keep adjusting my position, dancing as fast as I could to keep up. I was adept at being a chameleon (really co-dependent) and was so accustomed to it, that I wasn’t always able to stay ‘sane and vertical’. I knew from an early age that my purpose was to be a communicator. My mother used to tell me that I started talking at 6 months “and you haven’t stopped since.”  I got praise for being precocious, so I capitalized on it. I love to share messages about love and self worth and working in harmony with others. Since we teach what we need to learn, self love is a biggie for me. Once I became aware of how I was ‘stepping on my own toes’, I could shake it off and move toward my destiny of becoming a professional writer and speaker. That is the place I am standing gloriously now and enjoying (nearly) every moment of it.




What did you have to let go of in order to truly follow your path?
 The fear that I wasn’t enough of what people wanted, for me to be accepted. Remember the previous answer about being a chameleon? I figured that as long as I was being the way folks wanted me to be, they would love me and what I did. It was exhausting. It also brought with it, the seeds of my co-dependent caregiving ‘savior behavior’ that had me ‘carrying the weight of the world’, literally and figuratively. Last year, I lost over 40 pounds when that ‘aha moment’ came to me. As a writer, people may cast a critical eye on the words that I share. Most of the time, their feedback is positive. On the blessedly rare occasions when I receive a negative review, I am better able to shake it off, without taking it on. That is my growing edge.


What did you say yes to?
 To the Muse. She is with me 24/7 and our agreement is that as long as she keeps feeding me ideas, I will keep listening and sharing them. She’s a wise one and hasn’t steered me wrong. One thing I wish she would do more often, is let me sleep, since sometimes she wakes me up in the wee hours with inspiration. I also said a rousing yes to living my life full out…no holding back for this woman.




What were the key actions you took to start creating the destiny you wanted to experience for yourself?
Creating and nurturing relationships with kindred spirits for mutual support.
Seed planting by contacting people who were doing what I wanted to be doing.
Conscious creation with vision boards, writing about it as if was a current reality, embodying it as fully as possible.
Acting ‘as if’ I was already as successful as I wanted to be.
Putting legs under my dreams by writing every day, setting up speaking gigs and offering workshops and seminars.
Being genuine with my feelings, allowing myself to be fully human when ‘messy’ emotions such as fear and anger would arise.
Weeding out discontent, rather than letting the garden get overgrown with self deprecating thoughts.


What is one key nugget of wisdom you wish to share from your journey?
 I have come to accept that I am a work in progress and that I need to make an attitude adjustment and course correction from time to time to stay on track. Remembering that everyone in our lives is on loan to us, so that I appreciate them and tell them so. Knowing that we are all ‘love incarnate’ and I ask myself often WWLD?  What Would Love Do?

Destiny Discoverer-KimberlyAnne Christensen, Life Path Expert

Welcome to our 11 day Odyssey of Interviews called ”Destiny Discoverers”  

These are people that I have personally invited to play because I sense their big heart,  open mind, and  ability to succeed  on their path of Purpose…..today we continue with interview #3, KimberlyAnne Christensen,  someone who has come into my life just this year, and yet it  feels like we have know each other from long ago (maybe even past lives .   I admire her mission to help people become the butterflies they were born to be, and how she gives excellent insight just when your Soul most needs it.    Kimberly has given me some amazing readings and continues to be a great support as I undergo a huge transformation in preparation for the next level of life and business, and can expertly guide you on your life path as well!

What were the stepping stones that allowed you to step into your True Purpose/Destiny? 

I had been an elementary teacher teaching at the same school for 15 years. I held many positions within the school: Gifted Education Coordinator and teacher, Mentor teacher, Literacy Coach, Teacher Union representative, School Council Representative, Grade Level Chairperson, and more. But what I hadn’t discovered was my true path, or my spiritual gifts. The key that opened that door for me was a meditation I tried at T. Harve Ecker’s Millionaire Mind Intensive. It was there that I WOKE-UP to the truth that there was more to me than meets the eye.

From that awakening, I discovered through the practice of the Tarot, that I had a connection to the spiritual realm. My first or second full reading on myself shared that this was going to be my last year as a teacher, and that I needed to open my own business and do something new. I followed that advice immediately, and prepared myself to leave to pursue my spiritual path. I found a spiritual mentor who I apprenticed under for five years, healed myself, and began healing and reading for others full time.

What did you have to let go of in order to truly follow your path?

My calling to pursue my spiritual course was NOT the first calling I received, but definitely the one I had vowed to follow. I did exactly what Jesus asked his followers to do, and I left EVERYTHING behind to follow him. I resigned from my job as teacher, sold my house, disconnected from my dearest friends at the school, and moved in with my grandmother as I tried to create my own homeschooling “spiritual” business. (It was a dismal failure as I was not aligning it according to divine timing, or divine guidelines.) But letting go of the physical items was not the ONLY thing I let go. Under my new mentor, I was being guided in the way of humility and obeisance, and was living very much like a Novice would when entering the convent to be a nun. I let go of my ego needs to be in charge, and I had to learn to let God, those working with God, and my own inner knowing be my guides.

What did you say yes to?

Though I had a great working environment and my life was easy and comfortable, once I opened the doorway to my spirituality, not just religion-ality, I discovered I was very unhappy. I didn’t know myself. I had no idea what my life goals were supposed to be, who I was on the inside (a very intelligent and spiritually gifted, but angry and repressed soul who had been sexually molested in early childhood) and why I was here on this planet.  I said Yes to stopping the pain and anger that I had been holding on to for almost 40 years, and jumped at the chance to experience life emptied of pain and renewed in spirit. I said Yes to discovering my authentic self, and to following the path that had been laid out for me, by me, before I had ever incarnated to this earthly existence. I said Yes to a new life of knowing that I was worthy, unique and had a message to share with others that would offer those who worked with me New Life as well.

What were the key actions you took to start creating the destiny you wanted to experience for yourself?

The first key action that motivated me to create my destiny was my eviction from the home I lived in, with the people who had cared for me. I can truly attest to the fact that the planets DO personally affect your physical life, hello Uranus, as it was the initiator of my eviction. (My astrology chart was pretty clear.) The lifestyle I had been living was gone. But like all spiritually motivated actions of the divine universe, though my former life was over, a new door to create my heart’s desire opened. I left with $250 in my pocket, my 4 luggage bags and some books. I moved in with friends for a year. During the first two months, something exceptional occurred. I discovered a technique, called WordEnergy Astrology that was a unique, never before published innovation for deciphering the spiritual blueprint of the astrology chart.

It all started because of two books sitting on my friend’s table. The first was a numerology book from Glynnis McCants, and the second was an astrology book that I had given to my friend over six years ago because I didn’t want it. Out of pure curiosity, I began to put this puzzle together of Astrology, Numerology, Sabian symbols, and Tarot archetypes, and form it into a universal oracle for determining the underlying spiritual messages of words. And here I am now, validating the prediction of a little Dutch psychic named Louise, who told me for five years straight that I would invent something from my own creations. She was right!

What is one key nugget of wisdom you wish to share from your journey?

On the journey to becoming the butterfly, and making the soul transformations necessary to become whole, you must remember that we all must start as a caterpillar. We must crawl, before we can fly. We must embrace the quiet, reflective times of cocooning within our chrysalis before we can transform into who we are meant to become. We must be determined to live a happy life and to discover and own our power. Everyone has a message to share, and a platform from which to announce it. Anchor yourself in love, and learn to  accept the blessings of an abundant universe.

Destiny Discoverer-Alicia Power, The Soul Whisperer and Healer

Welcome to our 11 day Odyssey of Interviews called ”Destiny Discoverers”  

These are people that I have personally invited to play because I sense their big heart,  open mind, and  ability to succeed  on their path of Purpose…..today we begin with interview #2, Alicia Power,  someone I have known about for a few years from social media.  I admire her mission to help elevate people to their full power and know themselves at a very deep level, both things that are very close to my heart.  Alicia and I have collaborated on a few different projects, namely the launch of my recent book and I can say with absoluteness that she is a true wisdom guide and blessing from above, a real angel on earth! 

What were the stepping stones that allowed you to step into your True Purpose/Destiny?

Like you, Michelle, when I was a child I already was deeply interested in God Consciousness. I remember being very excited about something I learnt about Jesus in Primary School and running home to tell my Mom about my urgent discovery. I remember she just smiled with bemusement. She was deeply religious as she had witnessed many miracles during unbearable circumstances and below-human conditions during deportation to Siberia during the Second World War.

At 16 I already was searching deliberately, and by 19 found an extraordinary Indian spiritual teacher who had fully merged with god-consciousness when he was a young child. I enjoyed deep immersion into god-consciousness for over 16 years, 6 years of those were spent living full time, celibate, in an ashram. Those were blissful years – and by that time I had given my life, consciously, to service to god-source.

At around the age of 33 I realized I needed more awareness of my soul’s capabilities in order to be of deeper service to god and humanity. I felt competent in experiencing deep states of god-consciousness – yet I felt a call for more detailed information about the entire scope of my unique soul.

To gain this information, I knew I needed telepathic mentoring from higher spirit beings – who could SEE the entire history of my psychic soul, and who could train me to understand its capabilities.

At this point, I quickly trained myself to open psychically, and very soon was working professionally as an energy healer. The states of higher consciousness that were required to partner with vast teams of spirit surgeons to work on a client’s auric field, activated my conscious telepathics exponentially. It was in this heightened multi-dimensional state that higher spirit tutors began to show me vast tracts of knowledge about human consciousness.

Years earlier I had worked as a journalist so my natural curiosity was then focused on gaining as much knowledge from higher intelligence as possible.

It is now 20 years since I began to work directly with senior authority levels of the spirit world. I was invited to collaborate with spirit overseers, beings who understood everything contained within this universe. It has been an extraordinary ride – learning from them how to intend deeply and clearly, and their consciously training me to be fearless in the face of fear.

I am very grateful, while still sitting in the seat of the life-movie simulator… my life is still unfolding and I am enjoying passing on my perspective to others. As well as being a conduit for super high light activations for people interested in ascending to higher soul potential.

What did you have to let go of in order to truly follow your path?

I remember leaving the warm nest of my family when I was about 17 and 18 – and knowing I had to leave that life behind, to awaken my soul.

I also remember a moment after a car accident, when my spirit tutors told me my soul was bored – and that I needed to let go of my steady salary and live full time as a psychic healer. That was a great moment when I stepped out of my comfort zone, and leaned on the invisible worlds for support….. it is now 22 years later.

My spirit mentors also regularly move me through trials where I let go of attachments in order to become a higher level mentor to others. It never stops I believe.

What did you say yes to?

I remember recognizing what I was seeing in the first person I met who was studying under my first spiritual teacher. There was something missing – their ego had been dissolved through years of meditation. Deep in my being I knew I had found access to true god-consciousness, and humbly (after saying no to numerous paths others were demonstrating around me) moved into the ‘field’ of learning from a true source.

Another key moment during those years was when a meditation mentor looked at me, and asked if I’d like to begin a life dedicated to god-source. It was a lifestyle, it was a spiritual commitment – and I remember saying yes to ashramic life. Happily.

I also said yes – to that query from my spirit guides, after my car accident, when they asked me to walk away from external security to fulfill my mission as a spiritual intuitive – full time.

Many times I choose love over fear and darkness in my multi-dimensional travels. In fact I fight for the resonance of love ferociously. That is my dharma. Saying yes to light and love above all else.

What were the key actions you took to start creating the destiny you wanted to experience for yourself?

1.     I let go of security and collective human ‘normality’ – to study deep states of love and high consciousness.

2.     I trusted that a higher aspect of my psychic self would lead me – and it has, unerringly.

3.     I followed the prompts from higher guidance – and opened to communicating with my guides in as much detail as possible.

4.     I’ve stuck to my psychic spirit trainers like glue – their training is exponential and delivers the highest results.

5.     I have decided that teaching is one aspect of my contribution, however an even more valuable contribution is partnering with spirit authority to influence global outcomes.

What is one key nugget of wisdom you wish to share from your journey?

It is interesting now, as I look back, because I sense that our lives, our souls bring into this existence enormous power and potential from previous lifetimes.

Yet this life, from my direct experience, can offer opportunities that evolve our soul WAY past its initial ‘destiny’. That is the miracle – the life movie will present new upgrades if we put our hands up for them continuously.

So it really is about – how much courage do you have? That’s the truth.

And interestingly, at this time on the planet there is an opportunity for souls to first awaken to their full power – and then speak up from that power and fearlessness.  That is my work – awakening souls to their full power as quickly as possible.

Destiny Discoverer: Bill Gladstone, Author & Publisher

Woo Hoo…we begin an 11 day Odyssey of Interviews called “Destiny Discoverers”  

These are people that I have personally invited to play because I sense their big heart,  open mind, and  ability to succeed  on their path of Purpose…..today we begin with interview #1, Bill Gladstone,  someone I have known about for a few years.  I admire his mission to help transformational authors get their message out to the world. Upon reading his recent book The Golden Motorcyle Gang, I knew I was meant to connect with him, since I myself am a Golden Dolphin energy, one who has come to bring more empowerment, love and enlightenment. It is so great to connect with each other at this time of the Shift. 

What were the stepping stones that allowed you to step into your True Purpose/Destiny? (key choicepoint, decision, change, or challenge)

There were many choicepoints along the way but  there never was a challenge or major change in my approach to  life.  From infancy I had a sense of purpose and destiny and an innate  feeling of joy.  Adults were drawn to me and my constant  smile. I  had  an older brother who was violent and who tried to strangle me almost from the day I was born and was abusive to me throughout my childhood. I felt challenged by his abuse and  even contemplated suicide at the age of six. It was quite clear to me that his behavior was limiting my potential and was interfering with my personal sense of mission and purpose which though undefined was with me from birth.

When I made the decision not to commit suicide I decided that I would do the best I could and  avoid my brother as much as possible. I excelled at school, in sports and socially was quite popular acquiring the nickname Happyrock(the Gladstone). My brother was really a mirror opposite full of negativity and his nickname given  by the older students at the  school we both attended was Sadstone. Having to interact with my brother gave me a sense of compassion for others who had challenges in their lives. Except for my brother my life was most charmed with loving parents and abundance meeting all reasonable needs I might have.

What did you have to let go of in order to truly follow your path? 

I have never really had to let go of anything though learned that having tens of millions of dollars and wives who were beautiful,  sexy, fun and exciting but ungrounded and selfish was not a formula for happiness. Suffered greatly from several failed  marriages but never stopped loving my children or believing in love itself.

What did you say yes to?

 Have always said yes to life. My literary agency is based on saying yes to authors and wanting to help them and their publishers  find great matches that result in great books and lots of sales. I enjoy helping  people  with my specific expertise, experience and skill set related to book publishing. I grew up  as the son of a book publisher and was educated in the book business starting at the age of six years. I really knew a great deal about publishing even before graduating college and was asked to serve as editorial director for a number of  major publishing companies while  still  in my early twenties. I  accepted a position with Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in San Diego California and after two years  created Waterside Productions  Inc. not as a literary agency but as a film company. Due to lack of funding and other obstacles I focused on the literary agenting at a time when there were few if any major  literary agents outside of new York city.

My odds  of being successful were not high. However due to my good nature and willingness to explore books that did not necessarily interest me personally but which   were easy to  place with book publishers I became  the leading  literary agent in the world for  technical information for books on how to use the just then exploding world of computers and soon after the internet. I loved the excitement  and the rush of finding authors and  creating books in  sometimes less than  six weeks that eventually would sell millions of copies. Everyone was making significant money and  the books were helping to lead the information revolution that has transformed  our planet in the last  thirty years.

What were the key actions you took to start creating the destiny you wanted to experience for yourself?

The key actions were always working hard and keeping focused attention on how I could help others while taking care of myself emotionally, physically , financially and  intellectually. I have  low tolerance for boring people and boring projects. I limit myself to working with people I  enjoy being with and am open to both famous and less famous people. I care more about their character and acts of goodness as well as their intent than their fame and celebrity.

What is one key nugget of wisdom you wish to share from your journey? 

Never give up. I have failed  many times in many ways both personally and professionally. I  am an optimist by nature and I am also generous by nature. My generosity starts with myself. I forgive myself immediately for any mistakes I make and just try to  do my best in every moment  to experience joy and  be a catalyst for others to experience and share their joy. Most  important single quality is to maintain integrity in every moment and be your authentic self. I am not exactly the same person today that I was as a young student but I have never allowed myself to follow or believe  in people or causes without questioning who, why and how they do what they do. In the end each individual  must be his or her own teacher. There is no one with greater access to the infinite source of wisdom that we all share that you yourself. Find mentors along the way if you can but in the end  trust in your own intuition, your own sense of right and wrong and your own commitment to self determination.
