Simmons and Moody on tour!
Regular readers here will know that Wayne Simmons and I often sign as a double-act. Wayne’s a good friend and a superb writer, and it’s always a pleasure to be in his company. We’ve been working on some events for the remainder of this year, and it’s starting to feel like we’re going out on tour! David Naughton-Shires – one of our resident graphics experts – got over-excited and produced the great banner I’ve reproduced above, and with his help we’ll be hitting the road equipped with T-shirts, flyers, flags and whatever else we can get our hands on. All the dates are UK only at the moment (cost and time prohibits any overseas trips right now), so if you’re around, please come along…
18th August (note – that’s a week on Saturday!) – Waterstones, Hereford
14th September – 80′s Alternative Festival – Billing Aquadrome, Northampton
31st October – Halloween at Waterstones Cheltenham (with Adam Baker, Joseph D’Lacey and other authors to be announced)

24th November – Waterstones, Hull
8th December – Waterstones Swindon

TRUST – Chapter 4 now online

TRUST – limited edition hardcover details
Okay, here at long last are the details for the Infected Books limited edition hardcover of TRUST which will be released on Monday 3rd September.
The release is strictly limited to 500 signed and numbered copies. The image you see here is just for effect – the real book is far better looking with a full wraparound dust jacket designed by Craig Paton. As well as the 2012 version of the novel, the limited edition also includes an exclusive (and snappily titled, I think!) 5,000 word essay about the novel: ‘Standing on the Edge of a Cliff, Thinking About the End of the World.’
The book will be priced at £25 plus postage, and will be available direct from Infected Books. You can click here to pre-order. There’s a 10% discount and reduced postage rates on all orders received before the end of August.
One more thing… several other Infected Books releases are being planned for the next couple of years, with three titles already in the pipeline – two for 2013 and one in early 2014. There will be limited edition hardcovers of each of these books, all numbered and signed as per this release of TRUST. If you pre-order TRUST, you’ll be invited to buy the subsequent IB releases before general pre-orders for those books begin.

This seems like the ideal moment to apologise for the fact the eBook remains unavailable anywhere in the world but the US. It has me stumped and, more worryingly, it has Amazon stumped too. As soon as there’s any update I’ll post here and on Facebook and Twitter.
Got quite a lot to tell you about next week. There will be further chapters of TRUST posted on Monday and Friday, of course, and I also hope to announce pre-orders for the limited edition hardcover release of the book.

TRUST – out now!
The long awaited, completely revised, rewritten and expanded version of TRUST is now available.
You can order the paperback from all the usual online retailers now, or pick up a signed copy direct from www.infectedbooks.co.uk. Over the course of the next day or so, the book will appear online at all the various Kindle stores around the world.
Don’t forget, the book is being serialised over at www.trustdavidmoody.com between now and the end of the year, with the first chapter already posted. Subsequent chapters will be added every Monday and Friday.

TRUST – available from Monday
A final post for the week to let you know what’s happening with TRUST – my Infected Books reissue/experiment.
The book is primed and ready to go. Unfortunately, because of recent time constraints, the limited edition hardcover won’t be available straightaway. More information about that in a moment. First, here’s a very brief recap of what the book’s about…
The most important event in human history takes place in the middle of nowhere. Perspectives are altered. Perceptions are changed. Nothing will ever be the same again. Is this a moment of deliverance for the human race, or the beginning of its end? Tom Winter thinks he knows, but if he’s right, then seven billion other people are wrong.
Early on Monday, the book’s website – www.trustdavidmoody.com – will be refreshed with the opening chapter. Subsequent chapters will appear on the site every Monday and Friday from now through ’till December when the whole novel will have been serialised.
The paperback edition is available to order now from all the usual online retailers such as Amazon, The Book Depository, etc. On Monday you’ll also be able to order signed copies direct from www.infectedbooks.co.uk.
Also on Monday, the novel will be available worldwide on Kindle for $2.99 or similar depending on your local currency. Other eBook formats will follow in due course.
Finally, about that limited edition hardcover… Pre-orders will open in early August, and this edition will be strictly limited to 500 signed and numbered copies priced at £25.00 plus postage. The hardcover will also contain exclusive content – an essay about the history of the book, it’s influences and more.
I’m really excited for this release. It’s felt unexpectedly liberating to be back behind the wheel of Infected Books again. I have a few more mainstream projects I’m working on right now, but if TRUST is a success, then STRAIGHT TO YOU will get the same treatment in late 2012/early 2013.
