We're Back
The HH and baby boy took their annual pilgrimage to the Cubs game that was being held in Baltimore. Since the baby girl and son-in-law were hooking up with them, I tagged along.
It was quite exciting on many levels, both good and bad.
A. The Cubs won all three games they played this weekend.
B. The hotel we stayed at the first night.....YIKES. I imagine there are better 'no tells' out there.
The first thing I noticed: The door didn't lock. Got that squared away, which only left:
A broken toilet seat
Used soap still in the tub
No internet
No coffee maker
No coffee
No tissues
No hairdryer
A dog in a nearby room that yapped all night.(Of course this didn't bother the HH since he'd taken his hearing aids out.) Needless to say we moved down the strip the following morning.
C. Major gridlock traveling.
D. While the HH and baby boy were at the game, the baby girl and delightful son-in-law took me to a wonderful restaurant. We had a lovely evening, great food, great company.
Saturday we went to the National Aquarium which was crowded but still all sorts of fun.Below are pics of the Jellies. This was probably the best section of the aquarium because it's hidden behind the cafe and harder to find, i.e.less crowded.
More pics to come....You've been warned.
Thanks for leaving the light on for me. It guided me home.
What's everyone been doing in my absence? This inquiring mind wants to know.

Mercury Rising
Remember this one? I hadn't seen it since it came out in the theater in 1998. I'd forgotten what a great, on the edge-of-your-seat movie it is. Bruce Willis always delivers but the actor that really amazed me was Miko Hughes who played the autistic savant little boy. I'm still trying to figure out he managed to keep his eyes rolled to the side of his head. All in all a good movie for date night.
