The Talking Library
Eleven-year-old Fairday Morrow had no clue that moving from Manhattan to the small town of Ashpot, Connecticut, would lead to an unsolved mystery. Her parents’ dream of renovating a crumbling Victorian, called the Begonia House, into a bed and breakfast had seemed like treachery at the time. But Fairday found out that her new house kept secrets, and once inside its twisted front gates, anything was possible.
When mysterious notes start showing up warning that a librarian is in trouble and a bookworm is eating words, Fairday thinks the Begonia House has more skeletons in its closets. She notices a passage in her favorite book has been changed, and she’s certain something is dreadfully wrong. What happens to stories when their words get eaten?
The Detective Mystery Squad is ready to investigate! Fairday, Lizzy, and Marcus take off on a sticky trail and tumble into Nowhere. Like Alice in Wonderland, Fairday finds herself in a world where nothing makes sense and the lines of reality are blurred.
The three sleuths discover amazing things about themselves as they unravel more secrets within the walls of the Begonia House. Follow along with Fairday and friends as they open the next case in the DMS files to unlock the mystery of the Talking Library. Fairday Morrow and the Talking Library

I'm Back and Optical Illusions
I'm back! First and foremost let me thank everyone for all the positive energy, thoughts, well wishes and prayers. I don't know what I'd do without ya.Surgery went fine. I caught a little bug, probably from the hospital:), that slowed me down a bit, but overall I'm perking right along. But enough about me. What's been going on in the blogosphere and your corner of the world while I've been gone? And last but not least, thanks for the leaving the light on. It made everything shine a little brighter.

Hiatus
I'm on it.
I'm going to be offline for a bit. I will be back by 10/3 for Jess and Stephanie's cover reveal. Why am I going to be gone, you may or may not be asking?I've been diagnosed with Cubital Tunnel. Ever heard of it? For those who haven't (I was clueless before the diagnosis) here's the deets: Cubital Tunnel is nerve entrapment neuropathy in the elbow region that limits mobility along the ulnar nerve. This is the nerve that supplies feeling and movement to the arm and hand, i.e. the funny bone nerve. The symptoms are weakness, clumsiness, numbness and pain in the hand and if untreated can eventually lead to the hand atrophying in a claw-like position. Other symptoms include tenderness of the inner elbow, tingling inside the forearm, numbness of the little finger or ring finger and inability to grip. The cause, or one of them, is from having the elbow bent and resting on a hard surface for extended periods of time. (A writerly thing). It also affects people who play sports, don't warm up properly, have diabetes or an underactive thyroid.FYI: It's recommended that the elbow remain straightened while sleeping to offset the risk of CT. To correct by surgery: an incision is made and the nerve is moved to an area with more fatty tissue that allows more freedom of movement and or cushioning.Soooooo......I'm having (minor) surgery tomorrow. Leave the light on for me.
