Danger and Deception on #MostWantedMonday – Wanted by J. Kenner
Welcome to another #MostWantedMonday excerpt as we countdown to the January 7 release of Wanted by J. Kenner, book one in the Most Wanted series of erotic romances that wilI be followed by Heated in May and Ignited in September!
Enjoy!
“Then maybe it’s something between you and Evan Black,” he continued. The transition was smooth, but I heard the sharpness in his voice. And when I looked at his face, I saw both anger and hurt.
“What the hell are you talking about?” I asked, but the righteous indignation I’d wanted to infuse into my voice didn’t quite make it past the guilt.
“Dammit, Angie. If you’d really wanted to go out, I would have taken you. But the Poodle Dog Lounge?”
“Wait. You followed me?” Anger had me leaping to my feet.
“If you want someone to lie to a federal agent, you need to pay them more than forty bucks.”
“You son of a bitch.” I started pacing, a blur of fury and motion. “You goddamned son of a bitch!”
My rage didn’t even faze him. “I was worried about you. Apparently I had reason to be.” He picked up his wineglass and swallowed what was left, the only sign that he wasn’t as icy calm as he looked. “Evan Black is not someone you can trust, Angie. I thought I made that clear last night. A guy like that is interested only in himself.”

Tame Me (Jamie’s story) – a Stark International Novella coming this spring! #StarkOnSaturday
I have a special announcement for #StarkOnSaturday !!
JAMIE AND RYAN’S STORY IS COMING!!!!
I’m super-excited about a fabulous project that I’m part of — especially since you guys totally get the benefit of it!
Here’s the deal: I’m participating in an exciting new project with 11 other New York Times bestsellers. It’s called 1001 Dark Nights, and is inspired by The Arabian Nights: Tales from 1001 Nights.
In the original, Scheherazade desperately attempts to entertain her husband, the King of Persia, with nightly stories so that he will postpone her execution.
We’re taking a unique spin on the premise and creating new stories that a new Scheherazade might tell. Novellas that are sexy and romantic. Some paranormal, some erotic. All compelling and page turning.
One of these novellas will be published each month starting January 2014. Mine is called Tame Me: A Stark International Novella and is a spin-off from my Stark Trilogy, the first Stark International novella featuring characters from the corporate world of Damien Stark. It’s Nikki’s best friend Jamie and Stark International Security Chief Ryan Hunter. And it’s releasing in March!
The most exciting part? It just went up for pre-order. Snag your copy here.
I hope you check it out and order and order the other stories written by my friends involved in the project.

Shout-out for awesome customer service to Wallums.com
I love businesses that obviously love their customers, and I’m thrilled to say that I discovered one just like that recently in Wallums – a company that makes these awesome vinyl stickers that go on your walls.
I went a little crazy buying some recently, including one for my office. It’s one of my absolute favorite poems by Shel Silverstein. I don’t know the title, but I think it’s “If you are a dreamer,” and of the lines includes the phrase “flax golden tales to spin.”
It arrived and I hung it on the bright yellow wall of my office just opposite the doors so that everyone who comes in can see it. And they did. Including the twelve year old friend of one of my daughters about two weeks ago (after it had been hanging there for months and months).
Only this time, she saw that it didn’t say “flax golden,” but instead said “flax olden.”
Um, okay.
I guess that could make sense.
Sort of.
Except it really doesn’t. And it also left a gap between flax and olden. And besides, I really wanted my missing “g,” which, I think, fell behind a bookshelf and got vacuumed when I did some rearranging.
So I contacted the company. ”Can I buy the missing G,” I asked. And low and behold, they sent it to me for free! And speedily, too. (They actually sent me “golden” so I now have an O, L, D, E and an N in reserve for those alphabetical emergencies.
So thank you to Wallums! I appreciate the awesome customer service!
