Ash Smith is posting a poem a day on her poetry tumblr (good reason to get online every day for a month)

eyelashleye:

axon snagged  .  low light in the condersary  .   a recreation of the disreputable salon  .  and if our wishes were more nimble would you wish for the pockets of dollars from the wealthier to dissolve into ours (grass into distance) or to fade more brightly into the light of a memorable future in which the lost animals names are written in a satin erasing oil spills (diluted bitumen)? a filled machine skims the breathing room  .   cha ching  .  and soon the inner part of the lungs in a child becomes a miniature portrait in air of a shared world  .  rather I wish it were more shared  .  or the taller man with greasy hair told me to leave the poetry reading to go take care of my child  .  who is screaming   .   which is also a miniature of the shared world  .  and the fact that there are never enough arms for capital as it keeps asking for us to abandon the blowing rooms  .  but the ever exquisitely small replicas of trees by which we begin to understand both components of the asthenosphere  and the faultwork to reach the most brittle airy heights . unlike this package of insensitive marketing copy  .  the new poem a signal booster for female ghosts  .  you don’t have to take the dress off over and over .  through which he stood smoking outside the building (as if to reverse exteriors) and for that moment thank you.  by which I learned the most private inworkings of a personal connection to the larger public need represented by the plumbago that took my immunity  .  an older story then  . april  .   these newborns with an ocean thrown at them  .

From Paul Klinger’s Youtube channel: a buffalo scratching himself on a marker in the Wind Cave National Park (SD). If you browse the rest of the videos there, you’ll see that Paul spends much of his attention in the world on animal encounters. Recently, Ash Smith remarked that Paul writes from “creature-based constraint,” which phrase I like a lot.  Below the video is a tuft of fur Paul collected after recording the buffalo’s visit, which he later gave to Julia & me. I like thinking of this buffalo & Paul comparing notes (I rub then you rub)…

A page from Paul Klinger’s Rubble Paper, Paper Rubble (Forthcoming 2013) and a photo of the first alligator we encountered at Brazos Bend State Park, where Paul and Dawn Pendergast took Julia and me to work out some final details on the book. I recommend getting lost in Brazos Bend after dark (there’s no way not to walk by the water).

We still need approximately 50 people to step up and support Compline by preordering David Brazil’s the ordinary and Jackqueline Frost’s The Antidote before they’re released in May/June. As such, David and I collaborated to sweeten the deal. If you order both Jackqueline and David’s books…

Posting a few pics of a clamshell box I made for the Helen Adam childhood reader. Craig let me visit the shop & I knocked it out in a day. The Poetry Collection has agreed to purchase it, so if you’re in Buffalo, it’s headed your way soon!
