My Favorites – Vampire edition pt3
It’s all about the HUNTER today. Yes, I know, as a vampire author it’s a bit traitorous for me to celebrate the hunter but when they’re as FINE as the following, can you really blame me?
Lady Jayne played by Victoria Smurfit in NBC’s Dracula
OK, first let’s talk about this woman’s wardrobe! Not only did she kick major vampire ass AND manage to bed Dracula, she looked damn fierce whilst doing it! I tip my hat to you, Lady Jayne, and state for the record this show should have received a second season. Completely unacceptable that it was cancelled.
Van Helsing played by Hugh Jackman
Yes, yes, I know everyone claims to have hated this movie. Some of them have to be lying. Why? Well, ’tis simple. You have HUGH JACKMAN looking AMAZING in leather with his romance hero hair and you have Kate Beckinsale by his side being her usual breathtaking self. The effects were decent. The plot more than watchable (there are Dracula babies. What more do you need?) I will admit, I did not like the ending, nor did I care for this particular Dracula, but all that aside, I liked Van Helsing A LOT.
Derek Bliss played by Jon Bon Jovi in Vampires Los Muertos
I admit, the cheese factor was high in this movie. The effects questionable. The acting…eh. Do I care? NO. It’s freakin’ JON BON JOVI chasing vampires. Not sure what else I require in life.

My Favorites – Vampire edition pt2
It’s all about creatures today! Can you tell I have a thing for human-sized bats?
Bela from Hotel Transylvania 2
As if the Hotel Transylvania movies weren’t perfect enough, they give us this majestic creature in the sequel. I demand a Bela movie!
Marcus from Underworld 2
It makes me wonder if Viktor (the elder from the first movie) also has a bat form….
Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time
Seeing this for the first time was a “what the heck” moment. LOL

My Favorites – Vampire edition
I thought it would be fun to feature some of my favorite vampires in media over the next few days. What better place to start than with my TOP 3 portrayals of male vampires from TV or Film.
# 3 – Kraven of Underworld (portrayed by Shane Brolly)
Yes, yes, I know he’s technically the bad vampire in this film, given his pact with the Lycans and his power hungry ways, BUT I can’t help being fascinated each time he’s on camera. He’s visually perfect as the dark, brooding vampire and it’s a shame he was never given his own origin story film. You just know this guy comes with a heck of a lot of baggage and I’d love to see more of him.

New Interview
I was interviewed for Examiner.com about my latest release, upcoming projects and my writing process. You can check out a preview below as well as find a link to the full interview.
L. Rosario talks about her book “Descent Into Darkness” and the writing process. It’s a “must-read” for any aspiring romance novelist.
Interview by: Buffy Naillon
Buffy: Romance authors count among the most popular book writers, partly because the best romantic novels mix scorching romance with very human problems. While my own writing has romantic elements, I wouldn’t call myself a romance writer. But that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate those writers who do capture the genre and give me a good, engrossing story to boot.
One of my favorites is L. Rosario, a vampire fiction writer with a touch of historical romance thrown in. I was lucky enough to get caught up with her a couple of weeks ago to talk about writing books and her process. Those of you who are interested in exploring romance writing as a career will find her comments about the writing process extremely insightful.
(Buffy) Tell my readers a bit about you? How long have you been a writer?
(L) I was first published in 2006 and have eight books to my credit, seven currently available, one recently out of print. But I imagine, like most authors, I’ve been writing much longer than I’ve been published.

Reader review – Exiled
*5 Stars*
“Like staring too long into a vampire’s eyes, I’ve been enchanted by L. Rosario’s writing. I’ve fallen under an undeniable compulsion to read her work. In that spirit I’ve been perusing her back catalog and I’ve come across an absolute gem. The title of the book is Exiled.
Nadia isn’t a team player. When she refuses to swear her allegiance to the new queen of her coven, her master has no choice but to kick her out. Desperate to survive on the outside, she goes in search of an old acquaintance but gets more than she bargained for. A midnight chance encounter with a hot young stud provides an opportunity for her to do more than merely survive, if she can handle his rebellious nature and the unsettling feelings he stirs within her.
The love scenes sizzle with enough energy to satisfy even the undead. The romance is both tender and passionate. And Ms. Rosario’s writing is as pleasant as a cool breeze on a warm summer’s eve. This is one I highly recommend for lovers of beautifully crafted erotic vampire romance.”
