My hilarious and brilliant friend Jen Lancaster has a new memoir out today. It’s called Jenneration X and she’s not just appealing to her generation…she’s calling on all of you...to grow the F*&% up!
Jen’s not just funny and awesome and honest…she’s eaten nothing but cereal for dinner for a week straight. She’s ordered Barbie styling dolls while high on Ambien and not remembered until it showed up as a severed head in a box. How do you not enjoy someone who does that? It’s impossible.
She may or may not mention me in this book (and the sound advice I gave her when she was attending the opera for the first time) (she does mention me) (said advice may or may not have involved heckling the opera singers as a show of appreciation with a rousing “Show us your tits!”) (it’s clear that i am a very good friend to have) (but enough about me).

I took a photo of a guy who looked like “Ricky” from My So-Called Life and sent it to my friend with a note that said, “Doesn’t this look like Ricky from My So-Called Life if he grew up?”
And my friend said, “That is Ricky from My So-Called Life and he did grow up.”
So the moral of the story is: people grow up.
Including Ricky from My So-Called Life.
And now I can’t post the photo because when it was a stranger that looked like Ricky from My So-Called Life, it was an interesting hypothetical, but when it’s actually Ricky from My So-Called Life… I become an asshole.

ATTENTION DOG PEOPLE: My friend’s dog is suffering kidney...
ATTENTION DOG PEOPLE: My friend’s dog is suffering kidney failure after eating Purina manufactured Waggin Train Dog Treats. These “treats” are slowly shutting down their kidneys and killing dogs. Do not give these to your animals and do not buy any treats made in China right now. Please share this so we don’t lose any of our loved ones.
Update: News story on this but Purina is NOT recalling. Terrible.
