The patriarchy must grow up very quickly now, and begin to govern ethically for the good of all. "Men will be boys" is no longer an excuse.

Man+pet+house+car+stuff=largest apex predator ever to trouble the face of earth X 7BILLION. A blue whale is only a whale x 20,000
This is the skeleton of a blue whale. These creatures can weigh up to an astonishing 200 tons. This is only possible because their weight is supported by water. They are almost certainly the largest animal ever to appear on earth. There are still around 20,000 of them. However, we are rapidly pushing them toward extinction.
This picture gives some idea of scale. However, the largest dinosaur skeleton yet unearthed would be for an animal weighing around 77 tons - less than half the size of a blue whale. That is because the dinosaur's legs would need to support all that weight.
Surprisingly, even taking into account the weight of two cars and two apartments, the total weight attached to the man on top would not likely equal that of the blue whale.
However, add to this total his portion of the infrastructure that supports his life, and his weight would easily surpass that of the blue whale. In this sense, most of us Canadians individually weigh more than a blue whale.
The blue whale travel without baggage.

We should ask questions with the voice of the dandelion to answer with that of the whooper.
This blog is admittedly obscure. I mostly want to point out that all our questions and all our answers are about ourselves. We should try to imagine other species posing and answering questions. The dandelion is, like us, a rapacious survivor, easily occupying available spaces and crowding out other species. The whooping crane is, like the dandelion and us, a marvelous being. The dandelion asks, " How have we been so successful?" The whooping crane answers, "By taking everything for yourself." The terribly tenuous recovery of the whooping crane may be a sign of hope ( a flock of 300 in Wood Buffalo National Park). Has the biosphere started back down the long slow road to recovery?

We need to understand our Science and technology differently. Find the S&T in the following pictures:
None of these pictures would be possible without the S&T: not the belching carbon pollution, not the crowded city, not the bombing of Tokyo. What have we done?
