Wicked Outlaw is Out!

YES! WICKED OUTLAW is now out! I am so excited for readers to get their hands on Cole and JB's story.

It's been a bit since we played with the Ward Security boys, but when the story of Cole and JB hit us, we knew that we had to head in for another adventure.

If you have not checked out Wicked Outlaw yet, here's a quick description of the book:

Cole loves the city. He loves the noise, chaos, and having tacos delivered at 2 a.m.

He loves his job at Ward Security. He might look like a bodyguard, but there’s nothing better than being counted as one of the hacking tech triplets.

There is no way he will ever love horses, cows, and the great wide open of Texas.

At least, that’s what he thinks until JB Alexander rides into his life.

He can’t deny the burning attraction of JB’s easy smile and weird sense of humor. 

And while they’re dodging gun shots, crazy neighbors, meddling family, and secret plots, Cole might be forced to admit that he’s found an even greater love.

Wicked Outlaw is the sixth full-length novel in the Ward Security series and is jam packed with crazy neighbors, wild gun shots, a horse named Dopey, llamas, code names, a bisexual awakening, and new beginnings.

Right now, Rinda and I are working on the fourth book in the Weavers Circle series and we hope to have it out in late summer.

Cover Changes Are Coming

Did you know that Unbreakable Bonds was launched on October 27, 2015?

It's been more than 5 years!

When we started writing the series, we had no idea if anyone would read it. We didn't know if anyone would care about Lucas's control issues, Snow's traumatic past, Rowe's obsession with duct tape, or Ian's dark days with a crime boss.

We were stunned and thrilled when readers fell in love with their stories. We want to thank all our loyal readers for going on an Unbreakable adventure through Cincinnati with us. You even followed us into Ward Security, allowing us to give HEAs to bodyguards, hackers, and one adorable accountant.

But it's time for a refresh.

We want to bring Unbreakable Bonds to even more readers who have yet to discover our boys. We love our original covers, but we want to give the books a more current look to catch the eyes of new readers.

So, starting in June, we will be updating the covers for all 8 novels as well as the 4 short story collections. The ebook, print, and audio book covers will be updated. Just the covers will be updated. There will be no new content.

What does it mean for you?

If you own the ebook or audio book, the cover should automatically update when it is updated in Amazon's system.

If you want a print edition of the original cover, you will have until late June to get your copy. Then we will be taking down the old covers and putting up the new ones.

What will the new covers look like?

Well, we like surprises.

We'll be teasing them in our Facebook Group over the next couple of months. However, we have given you a little taste above. We have hired the amazing Cate Ashwood to make new covers for us and we are so excited with the results.

We hope that you like the new covers and that you continue to share this series with your fellow readers. Everyone needs to fall in love with the Unbreakable Boys.

Dragons, baby!

The dragons have been set loose!

It's time to dive into a new Scales 'N' Spells book with Ravi and his mate.

We were so excited to write Ravi's book. He's been a mischievous troublemaker since the very start of the series, but he's gotten hidden depths that most people aren't aware of.

With Blood, we were able to not only give Ravi a mate, but we could finally expand the dragon world enormously.

But I'm not sharing any secrets here. You're just gonna have to read the book!

Here's a quick description:

Secret identities are hard to keep.

Sora finds this to be doubly true after meeting the struggling Burkhard Clan and the mischievous Ravi. The wind dragon has stolen his breath, and heart, away. Sora suspects he might have found his mate. 

But his inability to be truthful with Ravi eats at Sora. When the Jaeggi attack, Sora can’t keep his secrets any longer. Not when Ravi is in the center of the war raging around them.

He has to reveal who he really is. It’s the only way to be with Ravi and give the Burkhards the help they need.

Sora’s secret could tip the scales to save them all.

The Ward Security boys are back and they are heading WEST!

I've got to admit that I've been waiting to put the bodyguards on a working Texas ranch for a long time now.

It's the classic fish out of water story with maybe a little bit of city mouse/country mouse.

And it couldn't happen to a nicer hacker.

Yep, it's Cole McCord's turn to find love while on the job, and we thought give him a shot at the heartsore and sexy JB. You might remember him from IGNITE, as Noah's former lover and Rowe's sort of rival.

It's Dragon Time, Baby!

We are less than three weeks away from the release of a new Scales ‘N’ Spells book!

If you have not started this series yet, now is a great time to start binge-reading the books.

In the Scales ‘N’ Spells series, the world things that dragons are extinct.

But the truth is that dragons are still alive and are desperately looking for their fated mates.

There’s just one problem. Dragons can only be mated to mages and it’s been centuries since they discovered a mage.

That is until the stumble across a young man at a festival who has no idea he’s a mage.

Sound like fun? I thought so.

In May, AJ and I will be back to work on Scales ‘N’ Spells, writing the final book of the series. This will be Gunter’s book. More details will be coming later this spring and summer.

Do You Have An Exit Strategy?

Justin and Gabriel are back!

I have been making plans and keeping big secrets. It has been killing me not to share. But the time has finally come!

What's been happening?

Well, the first thing you're likely to notice is that we've got all new covers for the novels! While I loved the old covers, I thought I would give the Exit Strategy series a fresh look since I've got even more exciting news.

Next, I decided to go back into DEADLY LOVER to create a special edition. You know how a movie will sometimes get a Director's Cut with extra footage. Well, DEADLY LOVER: SPECIAL EDITION got about 20,000 new words. Overall, the book grew by about 26%. It's a good chunk!

While the plot remained unchanged, this was more about giving more background on Justin, Gabriel, and showing more of them falling in love. So yes, it got sexier.

In addition, the special edition contains the LOVER CALLING short story. So now you will have the first book and short story all in one place!

VENGEFUL LOVER and FINAL LOVER have not changed from their original release other than to get new covers.

However, you might want to give them a re-read after you go through DEADLY LOVER: SPECIAL EDITION because they will help get you read for two new books that I'm adding to the series.

Book 4 will be FORBIDDEN LOVER and features assassin Kai, who you meet in FINAL LOVER, and the adorable scientist, Devlin.

Here is a quick description:

Devlin Relic was off limits.

The sweet man had already lost a husband and nearly lost his life when someone put a contract on his head last year.

He needed to focus on raising his adopted son and finding a nice, normal man.

Kai was anything but nice and normal.

He was an assassin, and that did not fit into Dev’s neat and tidy life.

And the one who actually got my butt in gear to finish this series is Alexei, Gabriel's nephew. He started whispering in my ear that he very much wanted his own book. God help Justin and G Love.

In ACCIDENTAL LOVER, Alexei is all grown up and ready to prove to the world that he's just as talented as his uncles. Naturally, he finds plenty of trouble.

ACCIDENTAL LOVER will be out July 9 and the pre-order is now up.

That should be plenty to keep all the lovely readers busy for now. As we get closer to the release dates, I will have more details and goodies to share!

Start 2021 With Free Stories

A Holiday Surprise: New Books

I know what you're thinking...

New Books?!?!?! We're getting new books!

New books are always a good thing.

So, a few months ago in our Facebook Group, Unbreakable Readers, we opened the door to readers to ask the characters questions.

And they did. A lot.

And the characters from Unbreakable Bonds, Ward Security, Pineapple Grove, and Weavers Circle answered.

We decided, since some of the answers were pretty darn funny, we'd collect them all in a book called BETWEEN THE SHEETS: CHARACTERS SHARE WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN THE BOOKS. We've also included the short story, "He's Too Young".

A Look Back at 2020

2020 started off with a lot of hope and promise. Unfortunately, it seemed to go south really fast.

But on the bright side, a lot of awesome books were churned out by some amazing authors.

I thought I would take a look back at the books that I worked on as a solo and those I created with other authors. Did you miss any? Now is a great time to fill up your to-be-read pile. Catch up on your reading while the snow piles up outside.

Personally, I spent a lot of time with vampires in 2020. That's where my publishing roots start and I've got to say that it was fantastic to get back there. I love writing the stories of the Varik brothers. It was an exciting roller coaster and I will miss them so much now that their books are done.

It wasn't just about vampires, though. I love writing my annual holiday story, but there just wasn't room in my schedule to do my solo story this year. Of course, most readers know me as part of a writing team rather than a solo. In 2020, I continued by writing partnership with Rinda Elliott and we launched a brand new series about warlocks called Weavers and their attempts to find mates while saving the world.

In addition, I started a new writing partnership with AJ Sherwood and we decided to tackle dragons.

Rinda and I kicked off the Weavers Circle about six men who discover they have amazing powers. They are destined to battle an evil force that is trying to destroy the world. And the only thing that can possibly tip the scales in their favor is to find their soul mates.

AJ and I decided to jump into dragons in hiding and their lost mage mates. The Scales 'N' Spells series is just kicking off, and we have so much fun still to come.

We are also working on the third book in the series right now and that should be out in early Spring 2021.

2020 also proved to be the year of the bundle. We know that a lot of readers prefer to binge-read a series. And that's more easily done when several books are bundled together in a single book.

Spend Your Weekend With Dragons

You know you need an escape this weekend.

You need to take a break from the holiday shopping, decorations, family, bills, and all the other parts of life that are slowly draining you.

You need...to cuddle with some dragons.

Yes, some warm, snuggly, "let me get you yummies and keep you safe" dragons.

You're in luck, because I have some dragons who would love to take care of you.

Yes, the second book in my new Scales 'N' Spells series with AJ Sherwood is now out!

Considering that each book is 130,000 words, that's 260,000 words you can read this weekend to help you escape from life.

That's several hours of running around Germany, exploring castles, chatting up the king of the fire dragons, dodging bad guys in Helsinki, going on a dwarf hunting expedition in Wroclaw, and finally, claiming a dragon.

If you've not started the Scales 'N' Spells series, the first book is ORIGIN and follows the love story of King Alric and his mate, Cameron.

The second book in the series was released yesterday and is called BREATH. This book follows the adventure of Baldewin as he tries to win over a mage who has been taught to hate all dragons.

But wait! There's more to come!

AJ and I are taking part in a special Winter Wonderland giveaway January 1 -10. For our part, we will be giving away WISH, a novella for the Scales 'N' Spells series. WISH will tell the love story of Warin and the adorable North.

In January, we are starting to work on the third full-length novel, which will be Ravi's story. We can't wait for you to fall in love with the Burkhard dragons!
