Two Thousand Shadows Is Out!

I’m so excited! It’s release day!

It’s time to cuddle with Junjie, Leo, and the new little kitten. I can’t wait for you to meet these new family members.

That cat is a liar!

The “stray cat” Junjie has been feeding and cuddling for months is actually an extremely rare cat shifter.

Of course, Leo would have preferred to continue their arrangement of Junjie feeding him choice bits of fish and rubbing his belly, but he needs Junjie’s help and that means revealing his secret.

An orphaned kitten needs a home after the fae killed his parents, and Leo is the most irresponsible, feckless, lazy creature in existence.

In short, he’s a terrible choice for raising a two-year-old cat shifter.

No. The WORST choice.

Yet, even after the little boy is settled with Junjie and the rest of the Zhang clan, Leo can’t walk away.

There’s just something about that sweet, bashful vampire with the too-soft heart and sexy eyes. And that kid is stealing chunks of his heart, too.

The war with the fae is about to tear the world apart and an old dark shadow has fallen over the Zhang clan, threatening to destroy them all.

Leo must stay to protect his new family. Even if it means giving up all his secrets to the vampire who is steadily stealing away his heart.

Two Thousand Shadows is the fourth novel in the Kings of Chaos series. This book contains a gentle, shy vampire who will stop at nothing to protect those he loves, a shifter with a secret, a nosy family who wants all the spilled tea, other non-human surprises, snark, angst, magic, found family, brotherly bickering, chaos, cuddles, secrets, and an endless love.

Audiobooks!

Don’t forget that if you enjoy audiobooks, you can listen to the first three books in the series right now. What’s more, all three have been whispersynced.

Two Thousand Dreams

Two Thousand Tears

Two Thousand Blades

I’ve handed off the manuscript to Podium and they have started work on the audiobook for Two Thousand Shadows . As soon as I get a release date, I will pass it along to you.

Bonus Story!

When you finish reading Two Thousand Shadows , don’t forget to grab up the bonus short story, Meeting the Folks. The short story is some cute fun and it’s completely FREE.

Junjie is going to have his hands full when he has a quick video call with Leo’s parents.

What’s more, I have another bonus story available to my subscribers on Patreon and Ream.

Two Months Until Huli!

Don’t forget that the thousand-year romance of Xiao Dan and Huli will be arriving in just two short months.

He promised me forever…But she came to take my soul.

Huli had dedicated his entire existence to making himself into something worthy of Xiao Dan.

But as he stood on the brink of claiming the vampire’s heart, an evil deal he’d made centuries ago was coming due.

Min wanted Xiao Dan’s soul.

Would he lose Xiao Dan when he confessed his ugly promise? And could he stop Min before it was too late?

Two Thousand Promises is the fifth and final novel in the Kings of Chaos series. This book contains a reluctant vampire who is finally giving in to the thousand-year seduction of a sly fox spirit determined to claim his mate, a nosy family who wants all the spilled tea, snark, angst, magic, found family, brotherly bickering, chaos, cuddles, secrets, and an endless love.

Happy reading!

I Destroyed the Elf Prince’s Harem Is Now OUT!

It’s here!

It’s finally here!

It’s time to go on an adventure with a crazy, somewhat clueless author as he tries to guide his main character toward a happily ever after.

Adam just never expected that HEA to be with him.

I had so much fun writing Adam and Nylian’s story. I loved their world and their crazy antics and they fell in love with each other.

If you’ve not grabbed the book yet, here is a quick description:

Don’t Pick Up That Coin!

I was just an innocent author minding my own business. Until I found that coin…

The evil thing zapped me into the novel I was writing.

Now I’m dodging ogres, humans, elves, and a certain wizard-in-training with a proclivity for changing people into small harmless animals.

My only goal is to get home again, and the best way to do that is to get this book back on track. I must help the sexy exiled prince find his brother’s killer.

The only problem is that the prince keeps flirting with me rather than the women he’s supposed to be adding to the harem.

Wait! Flirting with me? That can’t be right.

Wait wait! Why did I call him sexy? Am I falling for the prince, too?

I Destroy the Elf Prince’s Harem is a stand-alone novel within the Fortune Favors the Fae collection and follows the adventures of one poor author as he stumbles his way through his own novel and just maybe falls in love with the hero. Along the way he will encounter elves, humans, ogres, a wizard-in-training who’s really bad at magic, jealousy, possessiveness, political intrigue, secrets, and a prince who has eyes for just one man. Unfortunately, that one man is as blind as a bat when it comes to love.

After you grab Adam and Nylian’s book, be sure to check out the rest of the Fortune Favors the Fae collection. There are 15 books in total and just a few more are still waiting to be released. That a really big book binge you can go on!

I have even more good news!

After you finish reading I Destroyed the Elf Prince’s Harem , there are THREE bonus short stories you can check out.

Meeting Dad is available for free on ProlificWorks. You can download it for free here!

A Letter to Georgie is free for my followers on Patreon. You can follow me for free by clicking here.

Stardust and French Fries is limited to my paid subscribers on Patreon. If you join any of my levels, you’ll be able to gain access to this three-chapter short story.

Both of the stories on Patreon can be found under the Bonus Short Stories in Collections.

And if you’re looking for more fantasy romance from me, you can check out the Godstone Saga. The six-book series is complete and is in audiobook.

Two Thousand Blades Is Out!

It’s finally here!

We finally get the story of Kai and Xiang!

If you are looking for a possessive, overprotective dragon and the impulsive, crazy vampire he loves, then you need to jump into Two Thousand Blades.

This is the third book in the Kings of Chaos series, which is a spin-off of the Lords of Discord series.

Here is a quick description of Two Thousand Blades:

There’s no escape from a dragon’s hoard.

Xiang thought his biggest problem was going to be defeating the fae.

Nope.

Right now, it’s escaping this dragon’s hoard.

The dragon, who tried to eat his clanmate, grabbed Xiang instead, and now Xiang is trapped.

And he’s not the only one who needs to escape the dragon’s lair.

Kai is serving as the dragon’s assistant and helping to keep Xiang from going crazy with boredom.

Xiang is sure there’s more to this sexy man beyond his sad eyes and stuffy personality, but learning all of Kai’s secrets is going to take time.

First, Xiang needs to steal Kai from the hoard, and hopefully win his heart in the process.

But will they be able to escape the reach of a very possessive dragon?

Two Thousand Blades is the third novel in the Kings of Chaos series. This book contains a stubborn vampire falling in love with someone who isn’t quite who he claims to be, shifters, vampires, a nosy family who wants all the spilled tea, other non-human surprises, snark, angst, magic, treasure, found family, brotherly bickering, chaos, pouting, cuddles, one very possessive dragon, and an endless love that crosses lines drawn by war.

But wait! There’s more!

At the end of the the book, you get a sneak peek of the fourth book, Two Thousand Shadows, which is up for pre-order now.

And there is a bonus short story you can grab for free called Chaos at the Mall.

Currently, I am working on the final book of the Wings n Wands series with AJ Sherwood, titled Soar. This is slated to be released in October.

My editors are currently working my next book, a stand-alone high fantasy, transmigration book called I Destroyed the Elf Prince’s Harem. It’s a lot of chaos and fun with a flirty elf and a very oblivious main character. It is part of the Fortune Favors the Fae series and will be out on August 22.

Vampires, Elves, & Demon

I am moving!

If you’ve been following me for several years, this isn’t a new thing. My husband and I tend to move around quite a lot. We love to experience new places and people.

In this case, it’s time to head back to the Cincinnati area where we both grew up so we can be closer to family and friends. We’ve loved Denver and plan to visit often for vacation.

But! The move!

We will be moving in just 2 months. That means life is going to be a little chaotic and I might not be online much. However, I will continue to send out my newsletter on a regular basis so you can keep up with all the stories and other insanity coming out.

The move isn’t going to stop my writing or book releases!

May 31st!

I have just finished the copyedits for Two Thousand Blades and it moves on to the proofer this weekend. The book is right on schedule to be released on May 31st. The only thing I need to do is write the bonus story that goes with the two main characters.

If you haven’t started the Kings of Chaos yet, now is the perfect time to get caught up. You can grab Two Thousand Dreams and Two Thousand Tears, and the matching bonus stories for both books. What’s more, the audiobook for Two Thousand Dreams just released!

August 22nd!

I am currently working on my novel for the Fortune Favors the Fae collection. My book is called I Destroyed the Elf Prince’s Harem and features an author who is magically sucked into his own book after finding a magic coin.

Here is a quick description:

Who hasn’t wanted to disappear into their favorite book? Live in the world of their favorite characters?

Well, when this author fell off a bridge thanks to flipping a magic coin, I woke up in the one place I didn’t want to be—my own unfinished novel.

Now I’m trying to untangle this twisted plot, put the hero back on track to finding his brother’s killer, and getting his happily ever after.

All while not dying at the hands of orcs, ogres, humans, elves, and just about anyone else I run into.

Maybe if I clean up this mess, I’ll be able to go home.

Except that going home sounds less appealing the longer I’m around Prince Nylian.

Crap! Am I falling for the hero too?

I Destroy the Elf Prince’s Harem is a stand-alone novel within the Fortune Favors the Fae collection and follows the adventures of one poor author as he stumbles his way through his own novel and just maybe falls in love with the hero. Along the way he will encounter elves, humans, ogres, a wizard-in-training who’s really bad at magic, jealousy, possessiveness, political intrigue, secrets, and a prince who has eyes for just one man. Unfortunately, that one man is as blind as a bat when it comes to love.

I am aiming to finish writing the book next week and get it shipped off to my editor to wrangle. This book is going to be at beast at well over 100,000 words.

You can preorder your copy now and keep an eye on this series page as more books are added to the collection.

In the mood for demons?

While you’re waiting for those two books to be released, you can dive into the new serial I’ve started writing on Patreon and Ream. And you can read it for FREE!

I know, it’s crazy.

Followers and I have built this story on two fun memes – one where a house full of demons meddle in a grad student’s life and another where a grad student is followed by a murder of crows around campus.

As I add chapters to the story, I will provide opportunities for readers to vote and suggest where the story should go next.

The first chapter is now up and I’ll be adding more this weekend. Just be sure to follow me for free so you get updates on when I add more chapters to the story.

But that’s not the only story I have up on Patreon and Ream right now!

For as little as $5 per month, you can get early access to the first six chapter of I Destroyed the Elf Prince’s Harem and Two Thousand Blades. There are even more chapters available for the other tiers and I’ll be adding more each week.

More exclusive content includes:

A Valentine’s Day short story for Kairo and Izzie from the Shadow Elite series

A fun short story for Aiden and Ronan from Lords of Discord

An official timeline for all the Paranormal Royalty series

Two deleted chapters for Two Thousand Tears

Check out all the fun stories and behind the scene fun!

As soon as I finish working on I Destroyed the Elf Prince’s Harem, I will dive into the final Wings ‘N’ Wands book, Soar. AJ Sherwood and I plotted out 80% of the book last month and I just need to clear off my schedule so I can wrangle an ice dragon and a very stubborn, reluctant mage.

Speaking of Wings ‘N’ Wands, the audiobook for Rise is slated for release on May 21st. Don’t forget to pre-order your copy!

After Soar is written, I’ll shift gears back to vampires and finish out the last two books of the Kings of Chaos series. Then! Then I will change again to tackle a brand new contemporary romance series. As you can see, a lot is coming for the rest of the year! I can’t wait to share all the stories.

Happy reading,

Jocelynn

Two Thousand Tears is OUT!

It is here! It is finally here!

It’s time to start the second adventure of the Kings of Chaos series at long last! Catch up with the rest of the Zhang clan vampires and just maybe visit with the Variks and a certain crazy necromancer.

Two Thousand Tears, book 2 of the Kings of Chaos, is now out. Here is quick description of the book if you’ve missed it:

He was supposed to be my enemy. Not my lover.

Yichen is free at last…sort of.

He has escaped his imprisonment, but he’s still blood bound to the crown prince of the fae.

Oh gods, how is he going to explain that to his clan?

Finding a way to break the bond might not be too hard. Killing the king of the fae even seems possible.

But there’s no way he can let go of the elf who protected him, risked everything for him for a hundred years?

Rei is the breath in his lungs, the blood in his veins, and the beat of his heart. Somehow, he has to find a way to keep him.

An elf can fall in love with a vampire, right?

Two Thousand Tears is the second novel in the Kings of Chaos series, which is a spin-off from the Lords of Discord series. This book contains a somewhat broken vampire falling in love with an elf who should be his enemy but is actually his everything, shifters, meddling witches, other non-human surprises, snark, angst, car surfing, found family, brotherly bickering, magic, chaos, pouting, vampire cuddles, and an endless love that crosses lines drawn by war.

If you’re new to the Kings of Chaos series, you can grab Two Thousand Dreams and read about a grumpy vampire falling for a sassy, flirty blood witch.

And did you know that the Kings of Chaos series is part of a much bigger world?

Yes! Kings of Chaos is a spin-off from the Lords of Discord series as well as the Princes of Mayhem series. Jump into both series and get lost in a world of vampires, witches, shifters, magic, and mayhem.

And we have a new preorder up!

Good news! The third book of the Kings of Chaos series is done! The editors are cleaning it up and getting it ready for a May 31st release!

I am not giving a full description yet because I’m trying to avoid spoilers. But here’s a little taste:

Xiang thought his biggest problem was going to be defeating the fae.

Nope.

Right now, it’s escaping this dragon’s hoard.

More details to come soon!

Two Thousand Blades is the third novel in the Kings of Chaos series, which is a spin-off from the Lords of Discord series. 2024 Sign N Ship and a Sneak Peek

After a lengthy break of warm weather, the snow has returned to Denver. While the dog is happy about this development, I’m not loving it quite as much. It’s pretty to look at, but I really have no desire to go out in it. I would much rather stay inside with some hot tea and my ereader.

The cold weather just means that it’s a good time to catch up on my reading, as well as writing.

I am currently down to the last half of Two Thousand Blades, book 3 of the Kings of Chaos series, while Two Thousand Tears, book 2, is with the proofer. We are right on schedule to have the book done for the March release.

At the same time, I am quietly making notes for two upcoming books. One is a secret project that I hope to share more about very soon and the other is a sort of future project that I’m hoping to squeeze into my schedule.

In the meantime, don’t forget that my Sign N Ship event is still going on. There is still plenty of time to place orders for signed books.

As a treat, I thought I would share a snippet from Two Thousand Tears. We are less than two months away now. Have you pre-ordered your copy?

Sneak Peek at Two Thousand Tears!

The crack of a branch snapping echoed through the nearly silent forest and Rei groaned loudly, letting out all of his frustration. It wasn’t fair. It was impossible to get enough Yiyi private time and he’d known the moment they’d left the car that they weren’t alone in the woods.

Stepping away from Yichen, he moved in front of the vampire as he turned to face the elf who’d stepped out of her hiding spot to confront them.

“Did you need to wait so long?” Rei grumbled.

“If I waited any longer, I’d start retching from your disgusting behavior,” she complained.

“Always a pleasure, Aire.” He chewed on the greeting, barely resisting the urge to shoot an arrow into the woman on principle alone. She’d knifed him a couple of times over the years in the name of supporting Trin. The only positive was that she was smart enough to avoid the critical areas. He tipped his head toward Yichen, who’d annoyingly stepped around him to stand on his left. “I don’t think you’ve been introduced. Prince Wu Yichen, this is Aire Bira, my half brother’s right hand. She’s also hopelessly in love with the idiot. Thankfully, Trin doesn’t possess enough brain cells to stand against the king and notice her lovesick looks. Otherwise, he would have already made a fearful mistake with her.”

A bright flush painted her pale cheeks, and her icy blue eyes widened for half a second before she unshouldered her bow and fired an arrow straight at his chest. He’d expected that. As she reached for her bow, he’d moved his right foot, preparing to pivot out of the way of the arrow’s flight.

But Yichen moved faster.

His blade flashed out as if by magic and deflected the arrow, stopping it from coming close to Rei. The vampire pointed the sword at Aire, eyes narrowed in deadly determination. “That was your one. You will not get another chance to harm him. You will be dead. I promise it.”

Swoon.

How could a person not swoon when a sexy, sword-wielding killer promised to protect them?

They were so fucking the moment they got home. He was willing to fuck Yichen right here in these woods, but yes, meeting. The end of the world. Killing his father. Blah. Blah. Blah. That had to come first.

Rei draped an arm across Yichen’s taut shoulders and rubbed his head on Yichen’s while the vampire stood almost statuelike, threatening the other elf. “Aire, dear, do you remember Yichen? This is my lover, my mate, my everything. You should keep that in mind when you threaten either of us.”

Harsh, high-pitched laughter broke from her as she placed her bow on her shoulder again. “You have tossed aside all your dignity. It was bad enough that you claimed him as a pet and then dared to protect him against your parents and the court. But now you’re saying he’s your mate? That’s too much.”

Rei’s smile didn’t waver under her mocking. What did he care of those who looked down on him? He’d found a happiness they would likely never know. He turned his head and brushed a kiss to the side of Yichen’s head. “It’s okay. She’s jealous. So jealous that if she doesn’t let it out as laughter, her self-loathing and rage will choke her.”

Aire’s laughter ended in a snarl, and she grabbed for her bow, but Yichen’s words halted her. “You’re wasting time. I believe Trin sent you to fetch us for our meeting. Complete your task,” he ordered.

It was a surprise that she didn’t spontaneously combust right there on the spot in her fury. But Yichen had a point. Trin had sent her to escort them to the meeting location.

“Fine,” she snarled and spun around.

Yichen didn’t lower his sword until she’d walked a short distance without glancing at them. Rei squeezed his shoulder and straightened to take the lead.

“I guess those old tales about elves being cold and emotionless were a bunch of bullshit,” Yichen muttered.

“Oh yeah, total bullshit. I’ve known plenty of elves who tried to pretend to be like that.” Rei snorted. “I just needed to find the right button to push. Turned them into frothing, incoherent goblins, hopping about in the biggest temper tantrum.”

“Had fun, didn’t you?”

“So much fun,” he said with a cackle that Yichen echoed.

“Which makes you a wicked imp.”

If you would like to catch up on the entire magical world I’ve created, here is a list of the linked series.

Everything started with the Lords of Discord. This is a six-book series that follows four vampire brothers and their father as they fight to protect their family and find love. The first book is Claiming Marcus. The series finishes with Visiting the Variks, a collection of short stories.

The novelette within the collection leads directly into the Princes of Mayhem series. The first book was released as a four-part serial, focused on the love affair of a sunshine-y necromancer and his grumpy goth next-door neighbor. The four parts of How the Necromancer in the Gold Vest Saved My Life can be read individually or gathered together in a single collection.

And finally, the necromancer story leads directly into the new Kings of Chaos series, which follows a new vampire clan after they arrive in America to reclaim their missing member. The first book is Two Thousand Dreams.

Sneak Peek at 2024

Congratulations! You’ve made it to 2024. I hope your holidays were merry, bright, and full of good books. Mine were blissfully quiet filled with books, cuddles, and some good TV.

I’m rested and I’m ready to attack 2024. And it’s going to be an interesting year because of the next BIG MOVE.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that my husband and I “suffer” from a bit of wanderlust. In the 12+ years we’ve been together, we’ve moved from Kentucky to Wisconsin to South Florida to Colorado. Late in 2023, he turned to me and admitted that he’s ready to move again. This time, the plan is to move back east to Ohio to be closer to family.

What does that mean?

There are going to be some months where I’m getting very few words and there’s going to be some longer than usual gaps between books. But that’s to make sure you’re getting the very best stories despite the chaos.

But I still have lots of big plans for the year!

To start: A NEW SIGN N SHIP!

Would you like some signed hardbacks and paperbacks? Well, I have a lot in my personal stockpile that I’ll like to send to you rather than moving with me to Ohio.

So, in February and March, I will be taking orders for books. For now, I will be limiting this to just US shipping. No international. However, for international readers, I am willing to ship free signed bookplates.

The order form will appear in the newsletter and in my reader group in early February, so keep your eyes peeled!!

Audiobooks Are Back, Baby!

I’m planning to jump back into audiobooks after a short break in 2023. Podium (who has produced the Scales N Spells books and the Wings N Wands books I write with AJ Sherwood) has offered to produce the Kings of Chaos series. Kevin Shen has officially signed on as the narrator and I am so excited. I don’t have any release dates yet, but I will keep you updated when I hear things.

Also, the amazing Joel Leslie has agreed to narrate the the Necromancer Disasters. He will be starting those in late summer, so I think we’ll be looking at an early fall release for all 4 disasters and the complete works.

I know that leaves the last two books of the Exit Strategy series as well as the Shadow Elite series that needs to be narrated. But I have a plan for that…

A New Subscription Service!

My fingers are crossed that I’ll be able to kick this off in 2024. It might be pushed back if I can’t give it my full attention, but I’m hoping it’s possible.

I am looking into/researching/planning to launch a subscription service (aka Patreon or Ream).

Why?

Two big reasons, actually.

One: This will give me a chance to interact more with readers. Subscribers will get advanced access to chapter, behind the scenes look at the chaos of creating a book, bonus scenes, fun snippets and (I hope) pretty art. I’m addicted to pretty art postcards and stickers. I will still be active in social media and in my Facebook group, but I don’t have to rely on those algorithms to show fun things. Following me on those subscriptions sites guarantee you get direct access to the good stuff.

Two: Audiobooks are expensive to produce. That’s not a complaint. (My complaint is that I’m not fairly paid through Audible for my audiobooks.)

Back to the point, Jocelynn…

Narrators are worth every cent they are paid. They are amazing artists who breathe new life into books. They are helping to create art and I want to support that. I also want to bring you the best piece of art I can by writing awesome books and working with outstanding narrators.

Where am I going with this? I want to use the money I make from subscription services to help pay for audiobooks.

See? Smart plan. Subscription service gets up and running and it helps to pay for audiobooks for Exit Strategy, Shadow Elite, Royal Tea, and sooo much more!

Great idea, right?

The Books!

This is why everyone is here in the first place. What about the books in 2024?

FIRST, I have a novelette appearing in the new Heart 2 Heart anthology (contemporary romance edition). It will be out February 2. This collection is around for only 90 days. Make sure you pre-order your copy now so you don’t miss out on it. Plus, be sure to grab the paranormal romance Heart 2 Heart Anthology at the same time!

Kings of Chaos (vampires) will be finished in 2024. Two Thousand Dreams is out now and Two Thousand Tears is with the editors. It is on schedule to be released on March 22. Before that book is released, my editors will have Two Thousand Blades in their hot hands and it will likely be released in May.

The final two books of the series will follow a little later in the year.

Why?

Because in May, I will be writing the final Wings N Wands book (Soar) with AJ for an October release. (Though, secretly, we are hoping to move it a little sooner.) While it’s sad to be leaving all the dragons, we have something insanely fun planned for 2025. Don’t worry. We got you.

I am also taking part in this fun fantasy/paranormal series with a bunch of awesome authors. I will be writing a stand-alone novel for that, which will be released in August.

And to finish the year? How about some Royal Tea?

I’ll be returning to the Shadow Elite boys and the royal family you meet in Westin’s Prince. I am writing a fun trilogy about the members of the royal family finding love…and some chaos. Yes, there will be cameo appearances. I doubt I could keep Alexei from sticking his nose into this.

In summary:

1 contemporary romance novelette in Heart 2 Heart Anthology

4 Kings of Chaos books

1 Wings N Wands book

1 stand-alone fantasy/paranormal book

and at least 1 Royal Tea book

Plus Sign N Ship!

Plus audiobooks!

Plus maybe a subscription service!

Plus a cross-country move!

It’s going to be a great, fun year. As you might expect, all of this subject to change in case unplanned insanity breaks out. Just keep reading the newsletter for regular updates.

And finally, a big thanks for following me into 2024. Let’s make it a great year.

Happy reading,

Jocelynn

2023 Was A Crazy Year

2023 was busy.

It was filled with new adventures. New romances. Lots of book sales and even some free bonus stories.

Were you able to catch everything?

I thought I’d do a quick rundown of 2023 with links to all the good stuff. If you’re new to my books, this will be a fast way to catch up.

Shadow Elite (romantic suspense)

2023 kicked off with the Shadow Elite team. The prequel Stephen’s Translator was finally released for sale after I gave it away for free all of 2022. The series finished out with Edison’s Professor and Westin’s Prince.

The Shadow Elite series is now complete and is a spin-off of the Exit Strategy series.

However, I am hoping to return in 2024 with a spin-off of the Shadow Elite series. But that’s for another newsletter in January.

Lords of Discord (paranormal romance)

It’s hard to let go of the Variks. The vampire brothers are so much fun together. I’d written so many short stories for them over the years, I thought it was a good time to bundle them all in one place. Visiting the Variks has more than six short stories for the brothers PLUS a brand new novelette that finally gives two more vampires their happily ever after.

Princes of Mayhem (paranormal romance)

If you haven’t figured it out yet, this is the year of the spin-off.

The Princes of Mayhem series is a spin-off of the Lords of Discord, and contains some appearances by the Variks. How the Necromancer in the Gold Vest Saved My Life, while released in 4 parts, is actually just the first book in the series.

I am planning two more stories for necromancer Sky’s friends, Redstone and Maddox.

You can read the complete Necromancer story in the individual disasters:

Disaster #1

Disaster #2

Disaster #3

Disaster #4

Or you can grab the Complete Works here to get them all in one place.

Unlike the Lords of Discord, the Princes of Mayhem books are going to be much lighter and more comedic. So if you’re looking for light and a little bit silly, definitely check out the Necromancer stories.

Kings of Chaos (paranormal romance)

Detecting a theme here?

Oh yeah, we’ve got another spin-off of the Lords of Discord. This time we’re going back to vampires with a brand new but very ancient vampire clan that comes from China.

This series also comes with lots of crossover. Not only do we have appearances from the Variks, but the Princes of Mayhem witches are coming to play to.

Specifically, blood witch Moon Mullins who spots himself a vampire that he wants and isn’t going to let go.

The first book, Two Thousand Dreams, is now out! Catch up with Moon and grumpy vampire Chen as they try to rescue a vampire kidnapped by the fae.

I am putting the finishing touches on book 2, Two Thousand Tears now and it will be out in early 2024.

Wings ‘N’ Wands (paranormal romance)

The second book of the Wings ‘N’ Wands series, Rise, was release in November! If you need cool dragons and sexy mages, then this is what you should grab up.

The Wings ‘N’ Wands series is a spin-off of the Scales ‘N’ Spells series that I write with AJ Sherwood. We have one more book (Soar) in the Wings ‘N’ Wands series, and then we’ve got a new series that we’re cooking up.

Scales N Spells and Wings N Wands are not mpreg books. Just dragon shifters finding their long-lost mates.

The Secret Books (contemporary romance)

So, I do have one pen name that I am pretty quiet about. The G. Koi books are different from my other books and I wanted to keep the separate so as not to confuse readers.

In 2023, I released Falling Like Snow, which is the second book in the Love in Action series. The book follows a pair of actors who meet on the set of a drama and slowly fall in love with each other. It is a forbidden romance and they are so adorable together.

What’s more, both Ren’s Song and Falling Like Snow have bonus shorts to go with them. Grab both books now!

THANK YOU

As I look back on this incredible year, I want to say thank you.

Thank you so your endless support and enthusiasm for my books. Thank you for all your notes and messages. Thank you for supporting my dream of telling crazy stories of magic, danger, and love. So much love.

Because of you, I get to do the thing I love most–not going outside to deal with the public.

No! No! I’m teasing. You let me sit behind a computer and write out insane stories. I love my job. I love it more than I can ever describe to you (and I describe things for a living).

Because of you, I was able to see readers in foreign countries this year. I was able to write even more books. Because of you, I was able to study new languages, mythology, cultures, and better ways to hide a body.

Don’t ever doubt that your support makes a huge difference in the lives of authors. Whether you’re buying the books, borrowing from the library, or reading in programs like Kindle Unlimited and Kobo Plus, it all helps.

So, thank you for helping me live my dream.

What do you say we do it all over again in 2024? But with more explosions and sexy times?

Happy reading,
Jocelynn Drake

Don't Miss the Dragons!

Let's just jump straight into the action!

RISE, book 2 of the Wings 'N' Wands series is now out. You don't want to miss any of the action, drama, and dragon cuddles of Vasily and Luka finally finding their mage mate.

And Amaru is more than a handful.

Here is a quick description:

For the record, putting the Sousa clan to sleep for five hundred years is not Amaru’s fault.

At least he’s found his two, count ‘em two sexy, hunky, adorable, overprotective dragon mates because of it, and they’ll help him wake up his clan.

So why. Are his mates. AVOIDING HIM? Especially Luka. This should not be as hard as they’re making it.

What’re the proper tools to fix relationship problems? Is it screwdrivers?

Tags:

Chaos thine name is Amaru, one keeper is not sufficient, hence triad, lost clans, malfunctioning magic, confused dragons, the whole enchilada, 500 years is one hell of a power nap, zipper are awesome, Ravi has twins, pray, relationships are work, hope is too, who needs sleep when there is nookie, don’t touch the screwdrivers, all unattended electronics will be taken apart, breaking traditions, dragon cuddles are the best cuddles

If you are new to the dragons I've written with AJ Sherwood, then you've got some fun catching up to do!

Wings 'N' Wands (ice dragons of Brazil) is a spin-off of Scales 'N' Spells (fire dragons of Germany). The series starts with Origin and is complete with four novels and one novella.

Wings 'N' Wands has a free prequel short story, "Dawn" and then the first novel is Ruins .

Last Book!

We will be back with one final book for the Wings 'N' Wands trilogy in 2024!

Samuel’s twin brother, Salem, is going to have his hands full.

Just like his brother, Salem isn’t looking for a dragon mate.

But he finds exactly what he needs with the Valerii ice dragons.

More details to come soon!

The Vampires Are Here!

It’s new release time!

We’ve got a new series of books to start. New adventures. And new vampires. I can’t wait for you to meet the Zhang clan!

Here is a quick description of the action:

The Blood Witch Has Changed Everything.

Chen traveled to the US with his clan, hoping to rescue his kidnapped brother from the fae.

They just need a witch to find the exact location of where the door between the human world and the fae world will open.

The one thing Moon can’t do.

Chen grabbed the wrong type of witch.

That’s not stopping Moon from clinging to Chen as he guides them through a new territory, introducing them to the witches, shifters, and vampires who can help them.

The longer Moon remains at Chen’s side, the more he hopes the witch might consider staying with him always.

Except that the king of the fae might have other deadly plans for Chen.

Two Thousand Dreams is the first novel in the Kings of Chaos series, which is a spin-off from the Lords of Discord series. This book contains one very grumpy vampire falling in love with a very perky blood witch, shifters, overprotective witches, other non-human surprises, snark, angst, found family, brotherly bickering, magic, chaos, vampire cuddles, and an endless love that grows stronger with each kiss.

And when you’re finished reading Two Thousand Dreams, don’t forget to grab the FREE bonus short story. “The First Bite”.

If you are new to my paranormal world and you want to read everything, the best place to start is with the Lords of Discord. This complete series has five novels and one collection of short stories and a novelette. The first book in the series is Claiming Marcus.

After the Lords of Discord is the Princes of Mayhem series. Right now, only one full adventure is out – How the Necromancer in the Gold Vest Saved My Life. It was released as a four-volume serial, but you can read the entire story in a single volume here.

Don’t forget to pre-order Book 2!

What would you give up to hold the one you love?

A home?

Family?

A throne?

Two Thousand Tears is the second novel in the Kings of Chaos series, which is a spin-off from the Lords of Discord series. This book contains a somewhat broken vampire falling in love with an elf who should be his enemy but is actually his everything, shifters, meddling witches, other non-human surprises, snark, angst, found family, brotherly bickering, magic, chaos, pouting, vampire cuddles, and an endless love that crosses lines drawn by war.
