This is my second bilingual book, a collection of 40 Bengali poems and their English essence captured in 40 English poems, now, from now on I will be trying this style, that is, no more paperbacks, black and white books, I will create my future books on Kindle comic creator mainly. Only ebooks in full colour and I will keep the price fixed too 1.99$ the minimum of Kindle Select, if I cross 50 poems in a book that is 50+50 then of course I will raise the price! ;)

My feathery neighbours

often remind me of human nature,

there is enough, more than enough for all,

and if they don’t use it

they will lose it all,

still they wont share,

no matter how thirsty the other one is,

or singed by sun,

looking for a little dip, or a cool spot,

trespassing will mean war!

They sing, not to please or annoy,

Not to boast or show off,

They sing just because they can,

They sing because they want to.

A crow cares not if you think

His raucous call is ruining your mood,

A koyel does not cares

that his song is filling up your soul.

To them, singing is the joy,

That is the only reason for their songs,

Songs that fill up our world

Sometimes with ecstasy, sometimes joy!

How silent this world will become,

Silent and bleak, if they stop being spontaneous,

If they first think and then sing!

That certainly will be a curse on humanity!

I dreamt a strange dream

About a really strange land

Where lived a demon

With ever changing form.

One moment it was saintly

Speaking only of God

Next moment it was evil

Showing the way to hell.

One form will coax you

The other will lure you

Third will reprimand you

Fourth will goad you.

Mocking, taunting, scaring

Hatred, lust and anger

Twirled in its forms

Like colours in printer’s bowl.

Few moments of patience

Will show you the truth

Just like painter’s water

Twirling ended in one colour-black!
