TVCU Crew Review Spring 2015

It's been a while since we did a Crew Review, but since we're all busy with projects, I thought I'd keep the blog active by putting one together.  I'll try to do these on a semi-regular basis, but no promises.

So here's what the TVCU Crew have been talking about lately.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Review: Gladiator/Supreme #1
Gladiator Supreme Cover
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Atomic Robo quotes Buckaroo Banzai as an "Old Colleague" in the fist issue of the 9th miniseries he's starred in: "Knights of the Golden Circle."Ya know, in case Atomic Robo didn't have enough crossover links in it already.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------From Andrew Brook:  CandyJar Books have licensed the works of Mervyn Haisman and Henry Lincoln to produce a 'Doctor Who' spinoff series based around Lethbridge-Stewart. Obviously, they can't use the Doctor... except, in a prequel to the new run of books, they've put together a short story taking place in "The Web of Fear" which ends with Lethbridge-Stewart meeting the Doctor for the first time (which takes place off-screen on telly). The licence issue is neatly avoided by the piece being published in "Doctor Who Magazine". So, the two intellectual properties have crossed over even before they've split apart!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These were some of the more recent things we've discussed in our forum.  Please come join us in discussing the Television Crossover Universe at our Facebook Forum.

SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH

This is part 3 of the Archie trilogy (following Archie and Josie and the Pussycats) or part 3 of the magical blonde trilogy (following Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie) or part 2 of the TGIF series, or a tie-in with Horror Crossover Encyclopedia, or Cartoon Crossover Encyclopedia, or "Flintstones Forever:  The Bedrock Anomaly" found in the upcoming Television Crossover Universe: Worlds and Mythology.  In other words, this post is a perfect example of how intertwined the TVCU is.

This post is about two girls named Sabrina Spellman, who may in fact be two versions of the same person, somehow both coexisting in the same timeline.  This post will cover the comics, live action series, and both animated series.

NOTE THAT THE INFORMATION IN THIS BLOG WILL SUPERSEDE THE JOSIE AND ARCHIE BLOG POSTS.  I PLAN ON UPDATING THE JOSIE AND ARCHIE BLOG POSTS, AND WILL BE DOING SO AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE.

Here's what we know about the surrounding area wherever Zed or his offspring live: The primary anomalous zones that we know of right now are Springfield (State Unknown), Arlen Texas, South Park Colorado, Quahog Rhode Island, Stoolbend Virginia, Lawndale Maryland, Mission Hill (a section of Boston, MA), Highland Texas, and Langley Falls Virginia. However, I'm sure more will be identified in the future. (Note that some have speculated that Riverdale may be part of the Anomaly.  The original premise of the Anomaly in real world context was to connect prime-time and late night mature audience satirical animation situation comedies.  Note that I have included Charlie and Sally Brown as offspring of Zed, mainly as a joke relationship to Cleveland Brown, but I do not include other Peanuts crossovers within this chronology except where they directly cross with other Anomaly shows like Simpsons or Family Guy.  Likewise, Archie and other Riverdale based comics and shows are only included in the Offspring of Zed post under the same principle as Peanuts.  It is a TVCU concept that Riverdale is in a “time lock” similar to the Anomaly, but while Anomaly towns are coexistent in both the TVCU and Looniverse, Riverdale is firmly planted within the TVCU, even if residents of Riverdale do sometimes still find their way into the Looniverse.  While the Anomaly is explained via TVCU residents whose lineage trace back to the Flintstones and Rubbles of the Looniverse, and those involved in the Cult of Zed, Riverdale’s timelock is in place due to a spell that was likely improperly cast by Sabrina Spellman, that she has never been able or willing to reverse.)
November 1908--YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES--"Vienna, November 1908"--Young Indy meets Sigmund Freud.  Sigmund Freud has met Sherlock Holmes and also has appeared on BEWITCHED, I DREAM OF JEANNIE, STAR TREK:  THE NEXT GENERATION, FRASIER, and SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH.
September 1909--YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES--"British East Africa, September 1909"--Young Indy meets Teddy Roosevelt.  Teddy Roosevelt has met Sherlock Holmes and also has appeared on BRONCO, THE VIRGINIAN, THE MUPPET SHOW:  SEX AND VIOLENCE, BRET MAVERICK, VOYAGERS, THE GAMBLER RETURNS:  LUCK OF THE DRAW, SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, and FUTURAMA.

1925--This is the likely actual year that the original Sabrina Spellman was born.

1941--PEP COMICS # 22--First appearance of Archie.  If Sabrina is responsible for the timelock and fluxing reality, even if not seen, Sabrina must have been around as a teenager at this point.

Sabrina the teenage witch.jpg

1962--ARCHIE'S MADHOUSE # 22--The first appearance of Sabrina.  However, is Sabrina is responsible for the timelock and shifting realities, she must have been a teenager since the 1940s.

1969--ARCHIE AND HIS NEW PALS--The point of the episode is to bring Sabrina into the Archie show, but apart from brief exchanges with Miss Grundy, Mr Weatherbee, Dilton, and Big Moose, Sabrina spends the entire episode lurking in the background. Neither Archie, Jughead, Reggie, Betty, nor Veronica ever meet her or speak to her.

1969 to 1970--THE ARCHIE COMEDY HOUR--The same show as the previous year, but now an hour long with Sabrina segments added.  Note that Archie, Sabrina, and Josie live in different towns, but all go to Riverdale High.  This isn't any different than my high school, which was in my home town, but which was attended by students from four different towns.

1970--JOSIE # 42--Little known fact.  The idea to change Josie to Josie and the Pussycats was in pitching the idea of turning the comic into a cartoon.  This followed the success of making animated version of ARCHIE and SABRINA.  So in preparation, the comic started making the conversion to match the new upcoming cartoon.  In this issue, Josie meets Alan M.
1970 to 2009--JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS (COMICS)--The continuing series whether in their own title or in other titles, ran off and on from 1970 to 2009. Because Riverdale and the surrounding communities are in a time anomaly, the character don't age yet aren't aware that they don't age.  Note that even though the film says they are in Riverdale, actually, Josie lives in Midvale, while Sabrina lives in Greendale.  My thoughts is that Riverdale is the largest of the towns.  It's like how people in Cambridge say they are from Boston.  Archie, Josie, and Sabrina interacted from time to time, and they also interacted with MLJ super-heroes.  Interestingly, time passes for the MLJ super-heroes but not the humor characters.

1970--Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies--From James Bojaciuk:  Were you aware that Sabrina had a crossover tv cartoon where she joined a band with hip versions of Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the Mummy. It was ever so creatively titled Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies (not to be confused with the much better band the Groovie Ghoulies). It aired for one season in 1970.  For no obvious reason I'm inclined to think the Mummy is Klaris from Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy. Because of the date, I believe the Frankenstein's Monster in this series is the same Frankenstein's Monster that was created by a descendant of Victor Frankenstein during his duties at the insane New York power company called The Electric Company. This same Monster was also established to have fought a very dunk Dick Grayson--during the final days of his tenure as Batman--in Texas, as established by Robert.
1971 to 1973--ARCHIE'S TV FUNNIES--In this show, Archie and the gang present animated adaptations of popular comic strips like Smokey Stover and Dick Tracy.  Sabrina appears.
1971--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--Toon version of the Archie Comics witch who uses her powers to aide the uncertainty of adolescence.
c. December 16, 1972--DAFFY DUCK AND PORKY PIG MEET THE GROOVIE GOOLIES--From Tomcil:  It starts with the Looney Tunes. There was a crossover with the Groovie Goolies, which is a spin off of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which is a spin off of The Archie Show. Sabrina crossed over with the Sonic the Hedgehog (comics). That crossed over with the Wildstorm and Image Universes as well as (different dimension) Sonic X.Futurama's Zoidberg appeared in Attack of the Drones, which may of crossed over with the Simpsons in Future-Drama. Futurama and the PJS referenced each other (credit to a TV Show website that's not this). The Critic crossed over with Simpsons and King of the Hill appeared on Simpsons maybe as promotion for the former (credit to that site).
DC & Looney Tunes crossed over, albeit different universes, though in the Looney Tunes show Bugs Bunny is Batman and Duck Dodgers Daffy meets the Green Lantern (albeit possible time gap). Batman was on Scooby Doo and that links to other shows and that links to Cartoon Network shows, also Scooby Doo links to that BBC children in need Medley which humourously you also found out about, and that has Ben 10, which'll cross over with Generator Rex.
1977--THE NEW ARCHIE/SABRINA HOUR--It's new.  It's Archie.  It's Sabrina.  It's an hour.

1977 to 1978--SABRINA, SUPER WITCH--She's a super witch...

1980--This should be the year that the TV Sabrina was born.  This may be the first time in which the Riverdale region began fluxing as a side effect of the timelock.  Somehow both the TV show and comic/cartoon exist in the same timeline despite clearly being alternate reality counterparts.
1990 to 2001--ABC TGIF--In between the shows were little short segments featuring characters from the various TGIF characters.  For the most part, the characters stayed in character, and the shows didn't really interact with each other during these bits.  However, the oddness was that the bits usually involved the characters from these shows watching TGIF. Thus, you might see Steve and Laura of Family Matters talking about how cute Michelle is on Full House, or Sabrina the Teenage Witch talking about Boy Meets World.  And sometimes they would even talk about their own shows.  So, for that reason, I'm including this, but take this one as apocryphal.

1992 to Present--SONIC THE HEDGEHOG--Sabrina, however, did cross over with Sonic the Hedgehog, in a two part-special that expanded both series. Sonic the Hedgehog and Princess Sally Acorn meet the cast of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, in a 2-part crossover beginning in an issue of Archie Comics Sabrina comic series, and ending in a Sonic Sonic Super Special
1994--ARCHIE MEETS THE PUNISHER--The Punisher comes to Riverdale.  Josie and the Pussycats perform at a dance.  Besides the title crossover, Dino Manelli (from Sgt. Fury's Howling Commandos), Josie and the Pussycats, and Gotham City all appear. Dino Manelli is an interesting one. As his name implies, he's based on Dean Martin; but instead of being a look-alike analogue for Martin, Manelli is literally Martin with a lawyer friendly name. Both had hit film careers, record deals and such. The final evidence is that when Martin had the hit Dean Martin Show, Manelli had The Dino Show. Since they are one and the same (at least for TVCU purposes), Archie Meets the Punisher would have to take place before Martin's death in 1995. Other crossovers:  Millie the Model, Katy Keene, Patsy Walker (the Hellcat!), Hedy Wolfe, That Wilkin Boy (Jughead's cousin) and Sabrina the Teenaged Witch. At one point Sabrina apparently comments: "So I asked the Doctor if the Hosts of Hoggoth were really hoary," which means at least once she's consulted with Dr. Strange.  http://www.webcitation.org/5vEBUu7X6. This link shows that Red was probably the one-time star of Freckles and His Friends--an Archie rip-off. Also it reveals that all of his thugs were one-time stars of Teen Humor comics. There are a number of other obscure crossovers mentioned that I didn't catch when I read Archie Meets the Punisher.

1995—Weird Science—“Community Property”--This episode of Weird Science is the first appearance of Gary Bullock in the role of Abraham Lincoln, a role he would reprise in twice each in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Teen Angel. I am treating all of Bullock’s appearances as the president as crossovers; Weird Science and Sabrina are already in the TVCU, thus only Teen Angel is brought into the TVCU by Bullock’s Lincoln.--James Bojaciuk
May 1996--BOY MEETS WORLD--"The Happiest Show on Earth"--First, I should mention that a half hour before this show first aired, the family from STEP BY STEP were visiting Disney World.  Now, cut to this episode, and Topanga goes to Disney World, and as a perfectly fine stalker, Cory follows her there.  While there, Cory runs into Dana from STEP BY STEP, because, as we saw a half hour earlier, she was already there.  Dana doesn't figure into the main plot so much.  It just happens that they are both there at the same time.  Disney had just bought ABC thus this cool crossover that also serves to promote Disney.  But as Thom Holbrook, the master of crossover groupings has pointed out on his Poobala website, this minor crossover is actually huge to us crossoverists, as it links together two generations of TGIF:  the original tied together mostly by Urkel appearances and the next generation, tied together by events, particularly Salem running through everyone's shows. BOY MEETS WORLD has also been zonked on other shows, including:  MAYBE THIS TIME, SABRINA THE ANIMATED SERIES, VERONICA MARS, THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY, THE VENTURE BROS., THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC, PORTLANDIA, and THE OFFICE.  Note also that a lot of shows like to make a nod towards this series by mentioning having a teacher named Mr. Feeny, but it's really unlikely it's the same one, unless before and after this series the guy was actually really poor at holding a job and had to keep moving around, since not all these mentions are in shows with the same setting.

Sabrinatheteenagewitchmovie.jpg

1996--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--A girl, sent by her parents to live with her two eccentric aunts, finds out on her sixteenth birthday that she is a witch.  As if this timeline wasn't confusing enough, this film stars Melissa Joan Hart, who a few months later debuts as Sabrina on the television series, but in the series all the other actors are recast and the origin story is retold, slightly altered, making this not part of the same canon as the live action series.  Clearly, when Sabrina created the timelock, she also created a number of divergent timelines, some of which merged back into the main timeline.

Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.jpg

SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)Release Date: September 27, 1996 - April 24, 2003 (Contemporary Setting)Series: Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (Live Action)The Story: Teenaged Sabrina learns that she’s a witch from the two aunts she lives with, who are centuries old immortals.
Notes: Though based on the Archie Comics character, the continuity is completely separate. This Sabrina is a teen in the 1990s who first learns she is a witch in 1996. Also, she lives in Boston, not Riverdale or Greendale. In regards to the term “witch”, it tends to be a very general term for magic users in the Horror Universe. Some witches tend to be immortals with almost god-like powers. Some rely on spells, incantations, rituals, potions, and objects to perform magic. And then there are Wiccans who are just like Wiccans in the real universe. This series follows the 1996 TV Movie of the same name and is followed by Sabrina Goes to Rome. The series was remade as an animated series in 1999. The series has been referenced as fictional, paid homage to, and spoofed numerous times in other series and films. Interesting that the TV Sabrina has a similar origin to Zatanna. Her father is a witch but mother is mortal, and her parents can not see each other because the mother will be punished by the magical community since they forbid witches from marrying mortals. This also seems to match up with the magical community of Harry Potter and Bewitched in regards to views of mixed marriages.  Note that Toby O'Brien has postulated that Esmerelda (from Bewitched) may be the great-grandmother of Sabrina.  See here for more on this.
c. September 27, 1996--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--”Pilot”--In the Sabrina pilot, it's mentioned that a bunny once ruled all of England for two months, but a time reversal erased it from history. This might be part of Anya's fear of bunnies and could be the bunny from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Ivan Ronald Schablotski adds: Might also tie in with the claim on South Park that the first Pope of the Catholic Church was a rabbit. Loki Carbis further adds: I've long suspected that the bunny that attacked Jimmy Carter was a descendant of the one in Holy Grail.
CLUELESS (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 1 EPISODE 17 “MR. WRIGHT”Release Date: February 7, 1997 (Contemporary Setting)Horror Crosses: Sabrina the Teenage Witch (television)The Story: Cher falls for a new boy.
Notes: During the closing credits, Cher is talking with Sabrina, who is posing as a student at Cher’s school and then snaps her fingers and vanishes when Cher looks away. This was a cross-promotional gag, but it still counts as a valid crossover.

1997--TOTALLY CALIFORNIA--Salem appears.
BOY MEETS WORLD (TELEVISION SERIES)
SEASON 5 EPISODE 5 “THE WITCHES OF PENNBROOK”Release Date: October 31, 1997 (Contemporary Setting)Horror Crosses: Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Television)The Story: Erik is temporarily dating Sabrina Spellman under unexplained circumstances in this episode that centers around a witch coven.
Notes: See the entries for Sabrina the Teenage Witch for another cross between Sabrina and Boy Meets World.
SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)SEASON 2 EPISODE 8 “INNA-GADDA-SABRINA”Release Date: November 7, 1997 (Contemporary Setting, as well as various past time periods in divergent timelines.)Non-Horror Crosses: Boy Meets World; You Wish; Teen AngelThe Story: Salem the cat swallows a time ball that creates a divergent timeline, and then travels to the locations of the other three shows and does the same thing. Notes: This was one of those network events, where four sitcoms in one night would somehow be connected. These things were great for ratings. In this case, the event was part of ABC’s family oriented TGIF line-up. The event began on Sabrina the Teenage Witch in “Inna-Gadda-Sabrina”, then continued onto Boy Meets World in “No Guts, No Corey”, You Wish in “Genie without a Cause”, and finally Teen Angel in “One Dog Night.” Boy Meets World was about young Cory, who has a crush on Topanga, the prettiest girl in school, and that's really all you need to know. You Wish was about a single mother who reluctantly accepts the services of a genie who's been imprisoned in a magic carpet for 2,000 years. After eating a six month old hamburger, Marty DePolo dies and God's Cousin Rod appoints him as his best friend's guardian Teen Angel. I’ve chosen to lump all four parts into one entry rather than four separate entries for each of the four shows. Boy Meets World had a previous cross with Sabrina which is listed separately.
December 1997--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Oh What a Tangled Spell She Weaves"--Sabrina accidentally sends her aunts and cat to Merlin's castle.
December 1997--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Sabrina Claus"--Santa appears.
SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)SEASON 2 EPISODE 16 “SABRINA AND THE BEANSTALK”Release Date: February 6, 1998 (Contemporary Setting)Non-Horror Crosses: Jack and the Beanstalk; Wizard of Oz (film)The Story: When Sabrina accidentally whips up a magic beanstalk, Harvey climbs it and is captured by the Wicked Witch. Notes: Clearly the events of the original story of Jack and the Beanstalk must have happened in the past of the Horror Universe. It seems as if there must be more than one Oz dimension connected to the Horror Universe, and the Wicked Witch here is a different one than any other one seen thus far.

1998--SABRINA GOES TO ROME--American teenage witch Sabrina and her food-obsessed magical talking cat and mouse travel to Rome, the last whereabout of her 16th-century aunt Sophia, who was banished after breaking the rule not to divulge her powers to a non-witch; her mission is to find out how Sophia can be freed by opening her golden locket. Sabrina stays with her Italian relatives; notably niece Gwen, an certain and therefore dangerously clumsy budding witch, actually joins her quest there. Being seen using magic, Sabrina gets followed by two tabloid reporters, Paul and Travis, who are promised at least $100,000 if they can expose a real witch, but Paul, an American-adopted Italian, who set out a to win her confidence to trick her easier till they can take a picture of her witchcraft, actually falls in love with her. Gwen has her own Roman admirer, timid Alberto, but impatience for him to make a move causes her to accidentally transform him into a street pigeon. The girls find only one way to Sophia's secret: a portrait by an obscure Renaissance painter, who meant more in auntie's life...

October 1998--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Boy was my Face Red"--Sabrina meets King Arthur, though I don't know if time travel was involved or if it was his spirit.
October 1998--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"The Pom Pom Incident"--Through magic, no doubt, Martha Washington appears.  (Also, little known fact I discovered in my research, both Eisenhower and Franklin Roosevelt were cheerleaders in college.  Really.)
December 1998--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Christmas Amnesia"--Santa appears.
SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)SEASON 3 EPISODE 19 “THE BIG SLEEP”Release Date: March 12, 1999 (Contemporary Setting)Non-Horror Crosses: Wizard of OzThe Story: The Spellman household is cursed with poppies that put everyone under a sleeping spell until Sabrina freezes the poppies.Notes: In the episode, it’s referenced that this situation is similar to the film, the Wizard of Oz, and yet, the fact is, despite referencing Wizard of Oz as fiction, the poppies are clearly from the real Oz. Sabrina and Wizard of Oz are both brought in independently to the Horror Universe and have had one other crossover together.

1999--SABRINA, DOWN UNDER--Offshoot of the popular TV show finds the teen witch (Melissa Joan Hart) on a trip with her friend (Tara Charendoff). There she finds romance with a merman.

SabrinaAnimated.jpg

1999 to 2001--SABRINA, THE ANIMATED SERIES--Short lived animated spin off of the television series Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The animated series is a prequel which features Sabrina as a skinny, attitude giving, pre-teen with small witch powers. Also features the hilarious wise-cracking cat Salem, Sabrina's naive surfer dude friend Harvey, spoiled brat rich girl Gem Stone, Sabrina's rule stricken uncle Uncle Quigley, Sabrina's spaced out friend Pi, and of course, Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda, Sabrina's two criticizing, witchy aunts.  Each of the animated series that follow after the live action show seem to be in self-contained spin-off/reboot timelines.  I'm too lazy to list them off as alternate universes.  Clearly whatever spell Sabrina cast created a series of divergent timelines, some of which merge back into the main timeline, while others remain wholly separate.
SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH (TELEVISION SERIES)SEASON 5 EPISODE 6 “THE HALLOWEEN SCENE”Release Date: October 27, 2000 (Setting is October 31, 2000)Horror Crosses: Frankenstein (Universal) -- See NotesThe Story: Sabrina tries to throw a Halloween party, but ends up spending the evening playing marriage counsellor for the Frankenstein Monster and his bride.Notes: This is meant to be the monsters from Universal’s Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein, but I can’t agree with that. However, during the time the Universal Monster was trapped in La Mirada from 1948 to 1998, there were many appearances of a Universal type monster and occasionally a bride as well. It may be that this power couple seen during that time (and sometimes just Frankie) are the same Universal style monster and bride. If so, they were likely created by the Dr. Frankenstein seen in Mad Monster Party. This monster and bride tend to show up in more humorous situations. This cross with the Universal style Frankenstein brings the Sabrina television series into the Horror Universe. This includes the two related films and animated series and comic that were part of the same canon.
2001—Sabrina the Teenage Witch—“Sabrina and the Candidate”--Sabrina’s aunt attempts to get Lincoln to advise her campaign for mayor, but he refuses and returns to Heaven.
January 11, 2002--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH--"A Birthday Witch"--From Ivan Ronald Schablotski:  SABRINA and I DREAM OF JEANIE are both in, IIRC, so this picture could theoretically support the notion that TVCU genies are actually long-loved witches, though probably under some kind of curse associated with their bottle / lamp / ring confinement.  And from Barbara Eden!:  Beth Broderick ("Zelda"), Caroline Rhea ("Hilda"), & Barbara ("Aunt Irma") on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Barbara appeared in 3 episodes as "Irma Spellman." Irma was a witch, the matriarch of the Spellman family, & Sabrina's (portrayed by Melissa Joan Hart) great aunt. All of the episodes are available for FREE to Amazon Prime members, as well as on Hulu. Netflix subscribers can also get the episodes on DVD. Here are the links to the episodes on Hulu:"The Birthday Witch" - http://tinyurl.com/q5vhdmq
"The Arrangement" - http://tinyurl.com/ng8slsg
"A Fish Tale" - http://tinyurl.com/njzkj27

April 19, 2002--From Toby O'Brien:  I learned Brandy Norwood had an uncredited and probably unseen role in three sitcoms on the same day, playing "Mystery Caller".
'Raising Dad' - "The House Of Stewart"
'Reba' - "She Works Hard For Their Money"
'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' - "Guilty!"These were all broadcast on the night of April 19, 2002. So far I have no further information on this, what was the gist of her common thread in all three shows.
2002--SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH IN FRIENDS FOREVER--Sabrina must prove that she is worthy of attending an academy for witches.
January 2003--SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH--"Sabrina in Wonderland"--Sabrina visits Wonderland and runs into Potsie Webber.
**APOCRYPHA**--2003 - Ivan is transferred from being on a ship to a desk job at a Hangar 18 in Virginia to work on
the academic aspects of his therianthropology research.  Hangar 18s are covert installations found on military bases and government installations around the world, jointly utilized by the Ordnance and any other secret services active in the area.
Ivan at workThe designation for Hangar 18 buildings was chosen from the erroneous use of Hangar 18 in urban legend as the building housing alien hardware on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, per UFOlogy lore. A fictional Hangar 18 in Arizona was the setting of the 1980 film HANGAR 18.

Ivan also begins corresponding with other horror hunters online, despite the ban against Ordnance personnel acting in any official capacity on U S soil (he again uses the alias Steven Pertwillaby to maintain anonymity). He arranges for the transportation of an esoteric book The Discovery of Magic that the Ordnance confiscated to a Buffalo-based hunter using the identity of Beowolf, so that Beowolf can return the book to its rightful owner and ensure it is being used responsibly. Unknown to Ivan, a strange sorcerer intercepts the tome and delivers it himself, ensuring Beowolf does not get the opportunity to meet Sabrina Spellman and learn of her youthful charms.
The book is an heirloom of the Spellman family, which includes Sabrina and her aunts, who live in the greater Boston area, as seen in the television series SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH (1996-2003), but because the character has remained a teenager since her first appearence inARCHIE's MAD HOUSE #22 (1962), it is suspected her family holds the secrets to eternal youth. The strange sorcerer is likely Doctor Strange, who first appeared in STRANGE TALES #110 (1963) by Marvel Comics (Sabrina had already been shown to be in communication with Doctor Strange in the 1994 one-shot comic, ARCHIE MEETS THE PUNISHER #1). Beowolf is a code-name for Mike Nero, a lycanthropic character seeking the secrets to eternal youth, who first appeared in the story "Love Really Bites" by Chris Nigro, in the 2013 anthology BLOOD & ROSES.--**APOCRYPHA**

Sabrinasecretlife.jpg

2003 to Present--SABRINA'S SECRET LIFE--These adventures focus on Sabrina training at a witchcraft academy, and feature the rival character Cassandra (aka 'Portia' from "Friends Forever").

February 2004--THE SIMPSONS--"Milhouse Doesn't Live Here Anymore"--Salem appears.  TV exhibition features Salem, voiced by the same actor
October 31, 2004--HACK/SLASH # 28/ARCHIE MEETS KISS--From James Bojaciuk: So...Since this comic has Riverdale covered with zombies, vampires, and such because of one of Sabrina's misfired spells; so this must happen at the same time as the Hack/Slash storyline where Riverdale was freed from the timelock spell. Yep. That's another sentence I never expected to type.

February 2009--WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE--"Helping Hand"--The Wizard Patent Manager's name is Mr. Spellman
April 2009--SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS--"SpongeBob SquarePants Vs. the Big One"--Davy Jones appears.  Yes, the ghostly sea legend Davy Jones appears often, but in this instance, it's an appearance of Davy Jones, formerly of the Monkees.  Davy Jones has appeared as a regular character on the Monkees playing a fictional version of himself, so like Seinfeld, all appearances of Davy Jones count as a MONKEES crossover.  Davy Jones has appeared as a fictional version of himself in HEAD, THE MONKEES, GOLDBERG P.I., THE DREAMSTERS:  WELCOME TO THE DREAMERY, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, HEY ARNOLD!, The 1st 13th Annual Fancy Anvil Award Show Program Special... Live!... in Stereo, SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, THE SINGLE GUY, THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE, HERMAN'S HEAD, THE NEW SCOOBY-DOO MOVIES, THE BRADY BUNCH, MAKE ROOM FOR GRANDDADDY, Z CARS and THE JOEY BISHOP SHOW.

August 2010--MELISSA & JOEY--"Pilot"--Mel shouts "Woo hoo!" at one point, which was Sabrina's catchphrase. Sabrina was also played by Melissa Joan Hart.  It's my theory, based on how many times Melissa clearly references having been Sabrina, that at some point both main Sabrinas learned of each others' existence, and TV Sabrina, knowing she was a doppelganger, sacrificed her identity in order to help fix the timeline.  As reality reordered itself to eliminate the redundancies, younger Sabrina was given a new identity within the timeline, but she clearly retained her former memories, but tries to keep up the premise.

August 2010--MELISSA & JOEY--"Boy Toys 'R' Us"--Mel says that one of the skirts Joe wants to give to charity got her backstage at an 'N Sync concert. 'N Sync famously guest starred in an episode of the show, also starring Melissa Joan Hart.

October 2010--MELISSA & JOEY--"A Fright in the Attic"--At a Halloween costume party, Joe sees someone dressed as a witch and comments to Melissa, "A teenage witch. That's cute. You should have done something like that." She replies, "Oh, been there, done that.". Melissa Joan Hart, who plays Mel, played the title character in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.

2011--SABRINA & SALEM:  TOGETHER AGAIN--A reunion special.  Note that while Salem is still the same talking cat, Melissa Joan Hart is Melissa, not Sabrina!

c. November 11, 2012--FAMILY GUY--”Yug Ylimaf”--From Ivan: FAMILY GUY s11 e4 -- The 200th episode created a time warp that reversed the flow of time (complete with reverse Time Distortion) when Brian screwed up the time machine. At the end of the episode, the machine is fixed, time is flowing normally again, but time had already gone backwards far enough that Stewie was JUST born and on his way home. Stewie and Brian were completely aware of the differences, though, meaning that Stewie has a reason to have remembered more than one "first" Christmas and first birthday... and pretty much any other bizarre crap the show throws at us. And who's to say that the time reversal (with reverse time distortion) doesn't have some unfortunate snap-back effect, constantly expanding and contracting back to Stewie's first moments? Now if we assume this effect is confined to Quahog, then we have the reason for what is known as the Bedrock Anomaly to take place in this particular area. The Simpsons already has an out, sort of, thanks to Stephen King and Peter Straub's THE TALISMAN (which states that Springfield, Illinois sits on a dimensional weak spot), and South Park has that Cthulhu Cult that doomed Kenny to an endless cycle of death and rebirth which can be blown out of proportion to keep the whole community from aging with the rest of the world. And only Sabrina knows for sure, but something's very wrong in Riverdale (but yes, Sabrina DOES know for sure).

2013 to Present--SABRINA: SECRETS OF A TEENAGE WITCH--Sabrina is half-witch and half-human, and all super hero as she leads two vastly different lives; one disguised as a normal, klutzy high school student and the other as the top sorcery student in the magical world. When her two worlds collide, Sabrina is the only one who has the power to battle her foes, while managing to keep her magical identity a secret from humankind.
It should be noted that Archie regularly crosses with (and thus not worth noting above) SABRINA, JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS, THAT WILKIN BOY, KATY KEENE, and the MLJ super-heroes.  Additionally, Archie and his supporting cast have appeared in hundreds of different comic titles, which you can find anywhere.
I will be updating the Josie and Archie blog posts to adjust for the time stop theory.  The other Archie characters are not really worthy of their own blog as they don't have any real solo television presence.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALTERNATE REALITIES:

AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE--A horror themed alternate reality for the Archie Comics characters.  Crossovers include:  "The Music of Eric Zann",  "Godzilla is Yig", Cthulhu, shoggoths and other Lovecraftian entities, the Necronomicon, Dr Lovecraft, Kandarian demons

CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA--A more horror centered version of Sabrina, in which she was born in 1951, and was a teen in the 1960s.

MAD--Sabrina has been spoofed.

ROBOT CHICKEN UNIVERSE--Sabrina has been spoofed.

"Further Up and Further In!": C.S. Lewis' Narnia in the TVCU

To Ted GregoryWho put me on the right track more than Once.
Part one of A Sense of Place, a four part series on fictional locations.
“Further up and further in!”   Thus ended The Last Battle, the final novel in C.S. Lewis’ Narnia series. But let us backtrack. There is much untold in those books, and much more that transpired after Narnia ended and the sky came down. Let us investigate, and plumb the last few mysteries.  Unusually for the TVCU, the series’ author had a massive role in this essay. Discovered among C.S. Lewis’ papers, upon his death, was a massively detailed timeline of Narnia. This timeline forms the backbone of what you are about to read. Lewis’ entries are listed, unchanged, under the non-italicized entries. The posts offset by bold are entirely my own.  1889 (Earth time)—birth of Polly Plummer (probable birth of Digory Kirke)  1900 (Earth time); 1 (Narnia time)—The Magician’s Nephew    Polly and Digory carried into Narnia by magic rings. Creation of Narnia. The beasts made able to talk. Digory plants the Tree of Protection. The White Witch, Jadis, enterns Narnia but flies into the fear North. Frank I becomes King of Narnia.
The Bastables (from E. Nesbit's fiction) and Sherlock Holmes (who needs no definition) are mentioned as real people. As Ted Gregory wisely notes, “In The Magician's Nephew, Uncle Andrew talks a bit about a box that he inherited from his Fairy (as in, "is part Fay") Godmother, full of dust from Atlantis. Now, we know from the Space Trilogy that when Lewis refers to Atlantis he's referring to the version originally known as Numenor, as chronicled by his good friend J.R.R.Tolkien. The interesting thing is that during their final, decadent period, the Numenoreans were keenly interested in gaining access to Valinor, home of angelic powers and the more evolved (mostly) sorts of elves. When they finally achieved this goal, not only was Numenor drowned but Valinor removed from the earth into what seems to be another pocket dimension, possibly the same celestial plane as contains the Woods. Assuming that the Numenoreans were able to indirectly get one or more samples of Valinorian soil, this could explain the ultimate origin of Uncle Andrew's green and yellow rings.”  The apple tree planted at the end of the story is also mentioned in The New Traveller’s Almanac, from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Volume II.   1990 (Earth time); 1 (Narnia time)—“Music from a Garden”; The Grey Havens: Where Eyes Don’t GoWhere The Magician’s Nephew is totally concerned with Aslan’s own efforts in creation, this song explores the role “The Composer” and “The Dove” played. They were particularly influential when it came to colors.     180 (Narnia time)—Prince Col, younger son of Frank V, leads certain followers inot Archenland (not then inhabited), and becomes first King of that country.  204 (Narnia time)—Certain outlaws from Archenland fly across the Southern Desert and set up the new kingdom of Calormen.  1927 (Earth time)—Peter Pevensie is born.  1928 (Earth time)—Susan Pevensie is born.  300 (Narnia time)—The Empire of Calormen spreads mightily. Calormenes colonize the land of Telmar to the West of Narnia.  1930 (Earth time)—Edmund Pevensie is born.  1932 (Earth time)—Lucy Pevensie is born.  302 (Narnia time)—The Calormenes in Telmar behave very wickedly and Aslan turns them into dumb beasts. The country lies waste. King Gale of Narnia delivers the Lone Islands from a dragon and is made Emperor by the islands’ grateful inhabitants.  1933 (Earth time)—Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole are born.  407 (Narnia time)—Olvin of Archenland kills the Giant Pire.  460 (Narnia time)—a group of pirates from the Earth take possession of the deserted land of Telmar.  570 (Narnia time)—Moonwood the Hare lived roughly around this time. His hearing was so sensitive, he could hear a whispered conversation in Cair Paravel above the roar of a waterfall.  898 (Narnia time)—The White Witch returns to the land of Narnia from her lands in the far North.  900 (Narnia time)—The Long Winter begins. It’s always winter, but never Christmas. A horrible state of affairs.  Before 1000 (Narnia time)—The Young Ones—“Flood”Vyvyan the punk, after a surreal game of hide and seek, finds himself offered Turkish Delight by the White Queen. Her designs are dashed, however, once Vyvyan mentions the lion he keeps back home (cluelessly fooling her into expecting Aslan), and stumbles back into his own basement.     As discovered by Toby O’Brien, the world of The Young Ones is a microscopic universe. It’s tempting to designate it as TVCU-minus.  1940 (England time); 1000 (Narnia time)—The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe  Lewis’ comment: The Pevensies, staying with Digory (now Professor) Kirke, reach Narnia through the Magic Wardrobe. The Pevensies arrive in Narnia. The treachery of Edmund. The sacrifice of Aslan. The White Witch defeated and the Long Winter ended. Peter becomes High King of Narnia.  Strangely, Lewis neglects to mention that Susan, Edmund, and Lucy all become High Queens and Kings of Narnia alongside Peter.  1014 (Narnia time)—A Horse and His Boy
Lewis’ comments: “King Peter carries out a successful raid on the Northern Giants. Queen Susan and King Edmund visit the Court of Calormen. King Lune of Archenland discovers his long-lost son Prince Cor and defeats a treacherous attack by Prince Rabadash of Calormen.”  1015 (Narnia time)—Whilst hunting the White Stag, the Pevensies return from Narnia to the house of Kirke moments after they originally left.  1050 (Narnia time)—Ram the Great succeeds Cor as King of Archenland.  1502 (Narnia time)—Queen Swanwhite of Narnia lived at about this time. There are some chronological issues with this statement. To quote WikiNarnia: “Queen Swanwhite was a queen of Narnia, known for her great beauty. Swanwhite was, according to Jewel the Unicorn, so beautiful that if her face were reflected in a pool the image of her face remained for a year and a day. Jewel the Unicorn also says that Swanwhite ruled before Jadis. There is some confusion as to her actual rule, however, the timeline provided by C.S. Lewis states that she ruled around the year 1502. This has led to speculation that there are actually "two" Swanwhites, a beautiful one who reigned before Jadis during the Age of Conquest and a namesake in the Dark Age who reigned around 1502.”  1998 (Narnia time)—The Telmarines conquer Narnia. Caspian I becomes King.  2290 (Narnia time)—Lewis’ comment: “Prince Caspian, son of Caspian IX, born. Caspian IX murdered by his brother Miraz who usurps the throne.”  1941 (Earth time); 2303 (Narnia time)—Prince Caspian
Lewis’ comments: “The Pevensies, while waiting to board the train to their school, are pulled into Narnia. Prince Caspian escapes from his uncle Miraz. Civil War in Narnia. By the aid of Aslan and of the Pevensies, whom Caspian summons with Queen Susan's magic Horn, Miraz is defeated and killed. Caspian becomes Caspian X of Narnia.”
2304 (Narnia time)—Caspian X defeats the Northern Giants.
1942 (Earth time); 2306-2307 (Narnia time)—Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Lewis’ comments: “Edmund, Lucy and Eustace reach Narnia again and take part in Caspian's voyage. Caspian X's great voyage to the end of the World.”
2310 (Narnia time)—Caspian X marries Ramandu’s daughter, Lilliandil. She is a star, quite literally speaking.
2325 (Narnia time)—Caspian X’s son, Rilian, is born.
2345 (Narnia time)—Queen Lilliandil is killed by a serpent (actually, the Lady of the Green Kirtle). Rilian disappears.
1942 (Earth time); 2356 (Narnia time)—The Silver Chair
Lewis’ comments: “Eustace and Jill, from Experiment House, are carried away into Narnia. Eustace and Jill appear in Narnia and rescue Prince Rilian. Death of Caspian X.”
2534 (Narnia time)—Lewis’ comment: “Outbreak of outlaws in Lantern Waste. Towers built to guard that region.”
1949 (Earth time); 2555 (Narnia time)—The Last Battle
Lewis’ comment “Serious accident on British Railways [Resulting in the deaths of all the human friends of Narnia, save Susan]. Rebellion of Shift the Ape. King Tirian rescued by Eustace and Jill. Narnia in the hands of the Calormenes. The Last Battle. End of Narnia. End of the World.”
c. 1960 (Earth time)—The Oz/Wonderland Chronicles
Five young women with auspicious names move into an Chicago apartment, and discover Wonderland and Oz have fallen prey to an all new Wicked Witch of the West…
The five young women are named Alice, Dorothy, Wendy, Polly and Susan. All have had encounters, explicitly or implicitly, with the obvious magic world. Three of them, however, are not the original but namesakes (Ace, Dorothy, and Wendy); Polly's identity is unclear; Susan, however, may very well be the original Susan Pevensie. Note that in order to fit a twenty-or-thirty-something Susan into the timeline—as well as the geo-political state of Wonderland into anothertimeline—this series has been backdated to occur sometime in the 1960s.
The Oz seen here is almost certainly an alternate Oz.
c. 1990 (Earth time)—“The Problem of Susan”; Neil GaimanSusan has grown bitter and distant. Narnia has grown vile to her. If she encountered Wonderland and Oz, as we have supposed, it meant less than dirt to her. All she has is her academic work—all learned, all self-important, all useless—and a house too large and too empty for life. A young woman comes to interview her about Susan’s angry books railing against children’s literature; during the discussion, she discovers that it’s true—all of it is literally true. The young woman goes home, shaken.  The main events of the story are not controversial. And, though the unhappiest of endings for Susan, it does correspond with everything else we know.
But then we have the prologue and the epilogue. The prologue, of Susan admiring the manhood of a centaur from the distance, may be ignored or adapted into the events of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as the reader desires. The epilogue, however, seems to be nothing more than a nightmare on the part of the young woman. Someone, perhaps, could read into it that a reflection of Narnia exists in the Dreamlands; but, from all evidence available, it seems to be nothing more than a dream left by meeting the bitter, broken old Susan.
A pity that, until offered another choice from another author, this is the TVCU’s canonical end for Susan: alone, angry, and empty.
1999 (Earth time); unknown, perhaps before The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (Narnia time)—Return to Labyrinth; Joke T. Forbes & Chris Lie
Toby, the little brother of the Sarah who defeated the Goblin King in the 1986 film Labyrinth, travels to the same world his sister did and does things of varying levels of interest. He meets Uncle Traveling Matt (from the infinitely strange universe known as Fraggle Rock), learns that hobbits should not be battled against with riddles, finds Candide’s professor Pangloss in hiding, meets the demons from The Storyteller, and, lastly, in the Ministry of Prophecies, he hears two very strange promises.
The first, “When single shines the triple sun,” does not concern us at all. Dark Crystal and muppet people are outside our influence. But the other whisper, “sons of Adam and daughters of Eve” is for us.
Perhaps it has been stored a long time, with the other dead prophecies; perhaps, from the world in which he finds himself, the prophecy has yet to find its truth. But, still, it is on file with every other true prophecy.
c. 2000 (Earth time)—One Bright Star to Guide Them; John C. Wright
You know the story. You certainly know it by now. Four young children, while visiting an elderly professor, are thrust through to a fantasy realm where they do great deeds and save the people from a terrible mage. They are assisted by animals; a lion is the king. And yet…
And yet, there is no Peter—only a Richard.
And yet, there is no Susan—only a Sally.
And yet, there is no Edmund—only a Tommy.
And yet, there is no Lucy—only a Penny.
The decades pass and these children grow up, and grow into the world. Some grow evil, some grow weak. And then, on the day when no-one is prepared, the great evil from the magical world comes to conquer the earth…
The magical world is not Narnia, nor even a reflection of Narnia. Their leonine friend, however, is strongly hinted to be another aspect of Aslan, just as the four children are slightly hinted to be rembodiments (not reincarnations) of the heroic spirits of Pevensies.
If this summary is slight, consider it a strong inducement to pick this novel up. Of all the post-Lewis works on this timeline, it is the finest—and the only one that begs to be read.
(If Susan’s heroic spirit was rembodied in Sally, she is promised a much happier ending: one where her soul is healed, and she marshals her courage for one last great adventure. But this is mere supposition…)
2002 (Earth time)—Fables #4; Bill Willingham, Lan Medina, Craig Hamilton, Todd Klien, Sherilyn van Valkenburgh, & Zylonol
The “Kingdom of the Great Lion” is said to have been destroyed by the Adversary. But, when we consider Narnia’s apocalypse, and that Aslan allowed it to begin, it seems much more likely that one day Narnia disappeared from the multiverse—and the Adversary took credit for events in which he was not at all involved.

Here's a story: A Very Brady Blog

BradyBunchtitle.pngA 3 × 3 grid of squares with face shots of all nine starring characters of the television series: three blond girls in the left three squares, three brown-haired boys in the right three squares, and the middle three squares feature a blond motherly woman, a dark-haired woman, and a brown-haired man; all the faces are on blue backgrounds.

Four years, writing about television, and I'm just now getting to the Brady Bunch?  What?  How did this happen?  As I write this, my head will be lowered in shame.

Anyways, in case you didn't know...

Here's the story of a lovely lady
Who was bringing up three very lovely girls.
All of them had hair of gold, like their mother,
The youngest one in curls.

Here's the story, of a man named Brady,
Who was busy with three boys of his own,
They were four men, living all together,
Yet they were all alone.

Till the one day when the lady met this fellow
And they knew it was much more than a hunch,
That this group must somehow form a family.
That's the way we all became the Brady Bunch.

The Brady Bunch,
The Brady Bunch,
That's the way we became the Brady Bunch.

1945--Per Season 2 of Wonder Woman, Diana returns home after the war.  The first episode of season 2 seems to imply Diana stayed in Paradise Island from 1945 to 1977.  Some have offered me the theory that there have been several women assigned to be Wonder Woman, which is a fine theory and would work.  But I prefer that Diana be the constant as that's the writer's intent.  Thus, my presumption is that perhaps she gave up her Diana Prince identity and moved back to Paradise island, but still continued to come to Man's World to work with the JSA's successor, the Justice League.  This might also explain why in 1973, when she met the Brady Kids, she was a math teacher.  She was simply assuming another new identity.

1952 - 1958--ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN (TELEVISION SERIES)--Clark Kent moves to Los Angles (a great Metropolis) and becomes Superman.  NOTES:  THERE ARE A LOT OF HINTS LEADING THAT THIS SERIES IS IN CHICAGO, BUT AS TOBY O'BRIEN POINTED OUT, THEY HAVE TO BE NEAR THE DESERT, BECAUSE WHENEVER THEY LEAVE THE CITY, THEY SEEM TO BE IN THE DESERT.  SO I'M THINKING L.A.  IT'S GOOD TO HAVE THE TWO SUPERMEN LIVING FAR FROM EACH OTHER, TO EXPLAIN WHY THEY DIDN'T INTERACT MORE OFTEN.  THIS SERIES WILL CROSS WITH I LOVE LUCY, WHICH IS WHY SUPERMAN EXISTS IN THE TVCU.  Apparently whoever designed the architecture of Mayberry had also worked up in the Metropolis area.  Perhaps, like Mike Brady, he just keeps putting out the same designs over and over.  Note that because of the Wizard, the world had forgotten that Superman existed, so when this Clark makes his debut, the world knows him as the first and only Superman.  This Superman is very public, and the world knows of his existence.  He inspires a second age of super-heroes (and in fact, another age a thousand years in the future!)

1958 to 1959--THE INVISIBLE MAN--From Toby O'Brien: For the Toobworld Dynamic, I have the first TV Invisible Man, Peter Brady as an uncle to the Brady Bunch after whom young Peter Brady was named.....

1961 to 1963--DENNIS THE MENACE--Charles "Jack" Brady is a recurring character.  He may be a cousin to the architect Mike Brady, according to Toby O'Brien.

October 1963--THE DANNY THOMAS SHOW--"The Woman behind the Jokes"--Buddy Sorrell, comedy writer for the the Alan Brady Show (as seen on THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW) moonlights writing jokes for comic Danny Williams.

1969 to 1974--THE BRADY BUNCH--From Matt Hickman: Some Station Crossovers I found 1. In Wayne's World 2 the Local Rock Station in Aurora, Illinois is WPIG 95.7 on WKRP in Cincinnati WPIG was the Cross town rival to WKRP. Now they are in 2 Different towns But Maybe Between 82 and 93 WPIG became a Network with Affiliates all over the U. S. 2. From the Wiki page List of fictional television stations KBEX-TV (in film):Dawn of the Dead (as Milwaukee TV station)[1],Moving Violation,Runaway,Scream KBEX-TV (in television):,BarnabyJones[2],Brady Bunch[3],Charlie's Angels[4],Columbo (Season 2, Episode 6),Crazy Like a Fox (Channel 6, San Francisco),Dante's Peak (Channel 5),Emergency!,MacGyver (as TV and radio),Mannix,Mission: Impossible,Starsky & Hutch,$weepstake$ (Channel 6, Hollywood)[5],Walker, Texas Ranger[6],What's Happening!![7] Could Prehaps also be a Network or at Least a Cable Channel much like WGN 3.WNDY - Short-lived TV series "WIOU" about the news department of a fictional television station whose actual callsign was WNDY, but which was nicknamed WIOU by its staff because of the station's financial struggles. WNDY Is also the Fake Radio Station you listen when Waiting in line For the TwisterTwister...Ride it Out at Universal Studios Florida It's Set in Wakita Oklahoma Druing the Film so they Might Be Sister Stations or owned By the Same Company

December 1969--BRADY BUNCH--"The Voice of Christmas"--Santa briefly appears in this story where Carol loses her voice before she's supposed to sing in a Christmas show.  This is one of the few episodes to specifically be referenced with a flashback in the later Brady Bunch reunion movies.

February 1970--BRADY BUNCH--"The Possible Dream"--Hank Thackery, a character from PETTICOAT JUNCTION, appears.

C. January 2, 1972--THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW--"Baby Sit-Com"--There is a show called The Clancy Clan that is meant to be the Brady Bunch. This faux show within a show could be one of the possible zonk 'splainings for the Brady Bunch.

1972--PICKET FENCES--Sheriff Jimmy Brock and Dr. Jill Langston are wed by the Reverend Henry Novotny.  He has previously officiated the wedding of Mike and Carol Brady and before that been an Army Chaplain at  Camp Crowder, Missouri and married Rob Petrie and Laura Meehan.

c. September 9, 1972--THE ABC SATURDAY SUPERSTAR MOVIE--"The Brady Kids on Mysterious Island"--Pilot for the animated series.

1972--THE BRADY KIDS--"It's All Greek To Me"--TVCU Trivia of the Day: What two super-heroes have met the Brady kids?  Wonder Woman & Superman (and they also met the Lone Ranger).  The Brady Kids meet Diana Prince (a.k.a. Wonder Woman) a University Mathematician where Jan and Marcia are in the age old debate of Brains over Brawn and Marlon's magic accidentally transports them all back in time to ancient Greece where they arrive right in time not only for the Olympic games but to meet the famous mathematician Euclid.

c. September 30, 1972--THE BRADY KIDS--"Long Gone Silver"--Bobby is a fan of the Lone Ranger and orders a pin from his fan club. Marlon uses his magic to try to transform it into real silver but bring the Long Ranger's horse "Silver" to the tree house.

c. November 11, 1972--THE BRADY KIDS--"That Was No Worthy Opponent, That Was My Sister"--Superman and Wonder Woman, at one point, once crossed over with the animated incarnations of the kids from  The Brady Bunch . ( The Brady Kids  episode "That Was No Worthy Opponent, That Was My Sister")

c. February 9, 1973--SNICKERS--"The Brady Bunch"--In this special episode, we find out what happens to Marcia and Jan when they’re hungry. Let’s just say it’s not pretty.

July 29, 1973--The World of Sid & Marty Krofft at the Hollywood Bowl--The special consists of a series of performances and skits based around the shows of Sid and Marty KrofftJohnny Whitaker hosts the show and performs "Friends," the theme song from  Sigmund and the Sea Monsters Jack Wild appears as Jimmy, who searches high and low for his friend H.R. Pufnstuf (Van Snowden).  H.R. Pufnstuf  's resident villain, Wilhelmina W. Witchiepoo (Louise DuArt, substituting for Billie Hayes) and  Lidsville  's wacky magician Horatio J. Hoodoo (Paul Gale, substituting for Charles Nelson Reilly) each showcase their unique magic talents. The Brady Bunch Kids perform a medley of songs, though they would not appear in a Sid and Marty Krofft TV production until  The Brady Bunch Hour  in 1976.

September to December 1973--MISSION: MAGIC--From Hugh H. Davis: Rick Springfield was the star of _Mission: Magic_, the Filmation cartoon being promoted in this special. In it, he led a group of crazy kids on adventures with the help of Miss Tickle (say it together and quickly), a sorceress. They tried to boost the show by crossing it over with the _Brady Kids_ animated show. When they packaged _Mission: Magic_ and some other short-lived shows in the 1980s, they'd lost Springfield's permission, so instead of re-upping their deal with him, they just edited out any mention of his last name and claimed he was now just "Rik" (since he had an R on his belt buckle and they didn't want to edit the actual animation).

c. January 4, 1974--THE BRADY BUNCH--"Kelly's Kids"--A final-season Brady Bunch episode, "Kelly's Kids", was intended as a pilot for a prospective spinoff series of the same name. Ken Berry starred as Ken Kelly, a friend and neighbor of the Bradys', who with his wife Kathy (Brooke Bundy) adopted three orphaned boys of different racial backgrounds. One of the adopted sons was played by Todd Lookinland, the younger brother of Mike Lookinland. While Kelly's Kids was not subsequently picked up as a full series, producer Sherwood Schwartz would rework the basic premise for the short-lived 1980s sitcom  Together We Stand  starring Elliott Gould and Dee Wallace.

1975–1976--SNL WEEKEND UPDATE--SNL Weekend Update is in.  Here is a list of all the Weekeend Update recurring characters.
Of those listed, note that Father Guido Sarducci is in the TVCU through appearances on other shows and movies.  One example is Casper, which also featured Ray Stanz of the Ghostbusters.  His connection to Weekend Update brings Weekend Update into the TVCU, and all the other characters.  Note some of Update's characters would also appear during the monologue or other parts of the show that are meant to be real, thus all the bits of the "real" parts of the show are in the TVCU and any sketches these Update characters may show up in.  Nathan Thurm is another example.  Thurm has been on SCTV (which brings that whole show in, since the concept of that show is that the sketches are all interconnected), and the Earth Day Special.  (See my Bugs Bunny blog for more on that.)  Some of these characters also end up having their own sketches, and those bits should also be part of the TVCU.  Note that Jan Brady is one of these recurring characters.  This should be considered the present day incarnation of the original Jan Brady.Note the Gay Hitler who appears may be an imposter.

April 25, 1977--THE BRADY BUNCH VARIETY HOUR--The Brady kids invite the kids from "What's Happening'" to appear on their variety show. Rick Dees also stops by to sing.  Incidentally, I agree with Toby O'Brien's reasoning that Brady Bunch "zonks" come from people in the TVCU having seen the Brady Bunch Variety Hour.

c. January 10, 1981--FANTASY ISLAND--"High Off the Hog/Reprisal"--From Gordon Long: Another excellent blog. Thanks for putting in the FI episode! Another FI /Arthur/Merlin story: In High Off the Hog/Reprisal, Reprisal features Maureen (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia...Brady) McCormick as someone who uses Merlin's Mirror to see herself as others see her, although her fantasy was to make things happen (instead of having them happen to her, which was often the case). Very interesting that the mirror had a related effect...
1981--SHAKE N BAKE--Alice appears in this commercial.

1981--THE BRADY GIRLS GET MARRIED--A TV movie

The Brady Brides.jpg

Early 1981--THE BRADY BRIDES--6 episodes

c.  February 27, 1987--THE LOVE BOAT--"Who Killed Maxwell Thorn?"--Robert Reed and Florence Henderson reprise their roles as Mike and Carol Brady.

1988--REMOTE CONTROL--"Salute to Cindy Brady"--Cindy herself appears (played by John Ten Eyck!)
December 1988--A VERY BRADY CHRISTMAS--Santa appears, and there is also a flashback to the first Brady Bunch Christmas episode mentioned earlier in this blog.
c. February 5, 1989--DAY BY DAY--"A Very Brady Episode"--From Toby O'B:  The only reason to count a dream sequence (as far as the Toobworld concept goes) is because the dreamer is aware of the reality of the dream's subject matter. (I was about to type "occupants". LOL) So when Alf dreamed about 'Gilligan's Island', he was aware of the news story when the seven stranded castaways were rescued. When the oldest kid in 'Day By Day' dreamt of 'The Brady Bunch', he was familiar with the reality show based on them. (And each example used the original actors from the respective shows.) So at least in Skitlandia - since Wayne doesn't exist in Earth Prime-Time - people know about the threat of Terminators, even if Skynet's reign hasn't begun.  My response is:  Wayne didn't dream about the Terminator. He actually encountered him on his way to the Alice Cooper concert. As for his dream of Melrose Place, he was dreaming about a fictional TV show. That was made clear. But there are also lots of other counterparts of 90210/Melrose Place in Skitlandia that I chose not to mention. I haven't found any connections to bring Alf into the TVCU, so I place him in the Marvel Universe, where he does have a connection. Weirdly, there is no solid connection for Gilligan's island in the TVCU, but there is for the Looniverse. Likewise, the Brady Bunch is in the TVCU, but Day by Day is in the Family Ties universe, with not connections to TVCU. But I do follow your same logic for dreams when both shows exist in the same reality. Just as I handle zonks by assuming the show referred to is either a reality show (like the Office), or somebody wrote a show about people they know (Seinfeld written by Jerry and Larry, Friends written by Gunther, Cheers written by Diane). I will always find a way to explain away why one show seems to be fictional in a world where it should be real. But when the two shows are clearly in alternate realities with no connections to each other, then there's not reason to explain things. That Terminator in Milwaukee is one of the many alternate reality version of the Terminator. In this one, Jon Connor must have been in Milwaukee instead of Los Angeles.

February to March 1990--THE BRADYS--4 episodes

StepByStepOpening.jpg

1991 to 1998--STEP BY STEP--In a modern Brady Bunch kind of way, a single mom marries a single dad, and the kids don't get along.  This show and Family Matters would actually change to CBS in 1996, where they would be part of the short lived Saturday version of TGIF.  STEP BY STEP has also been zonked on other shows.  Likely the title is not a reference to this specific family as it is a pretty generic name.  Shows that it has been referenced on include:  SOUTH PARK, WILL & GRACE, and PSYCH.  Toby adds from the Toobworld site:  The youngest Lambert boy on the show, Brendan, saw his role reduced during the last few years of the show (especially after the birth of Lilly) until he was completely dropped from the show during the last season without explanation.

1991 to 1992--HI HONEY, I'M HOME--This series involves a family moving to a new town where only a child neighbor realizes this family was featured on an old TV show.  In fact (from the TVCU point of view), this family had been the focus of an early reality show, and were now trying to live a quiet life.  June Clever and Eddie Haskell have made appearance on this show.  Other former reality show stars appear on this series, including Alice and Trixie of THE HONEYMOONERS, Granpa of THE MUNSTERS, Alice the maid from THE BRADY BUNCH, Sally Rogers of THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, Mr. Mooney of THE LUCY SHOW, and GOMER PYLE of THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW (and his own series.)

1992--SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE--Melanie Hutsell played Jan Brady once in a crossover spoof featuring the Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family, which also featured Susan Dey reprising her role.  Hutsell then reprised the Jan Brady role for a Weekend Update segment, which places her portrayal within the TVCU.

c. May 19, 1993--BRADYMANIA:A VERY BRADY SPECIAL--Marcia Martin Brady appears.

c. February 17, 1995--THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE--The Partridge Family van is seen.  According to an episode of BOY MEETS WORLD, the family's former manager is still driving the van.

A House to Die For (1995) Poster

c. May 2, 1995--WINGS--"A House To Die For"--The reboot film versions of the Bradys appear.

1996--A VERY BRADY SEQUEL--Detective John Munch is in Los Angeles assisting on a case, and takes time to help out someone calling himself Mike Brady.  This causes some complications, as normally I wouldn't want to include this type of remake/spoof film in the TVCU.  In a very Brady blog, I will reconcile the movies with the original series.  But it's likely that this Mike Brady is the nephew of the Mike Brady from the series.  This film also creates a tie to GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, only it doesn't quite match up with the original series either, so this is some other Gilligan, Professor, and Minnow being referenced.  JEANNIE also appears, and this does seem to be the original Jeannie.  I'll cover these difficult appearances and references in later blogs. I've been thinking of Detective Munch's appearances in Arrested Development and A Very Brady Sequel. Both take place while Munch is working on SVU and in both of these he's working in Los Angeles. In AD, he's billed as Detective Munch and he's working with the CIA to find proof of treason amongst the Bluths. In AVBS, he's only credited as LAPD Detective, and he's working at the city desk. It doesn't make sense that this is the Detective Munch from SVU in these two crossovers, but it would make sense that this is Munch's twin brother, who works as a cop in LA.

Show No. 104 (1998) Poster

August 12, 1998--WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAYS?--Drew Carey reveals that Wayne Brady is the illegitimate child of Mike and Carol.

Hello, What's This? (1998) Poster

c. October 20, 1998--MOESHA--"Hello, What's This?"--Jan Brady appears, played by Jennifer Elise Cox, who played Jan in the reboot movies.

2000--THE 2000 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS--Greg Brady appears.

July 2000--FAMILY GUY--"E. Peterbus Unum"--When Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire discuss tax refunds, Charlie Brown in a ghost costume claims he only “got a rock.” This parodies a scene from the Peanuts Halloween television special It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown in which the characters trick-or-treat and Charlie Brown consistently receives rocks.  Anti-litter mascot Woodsy Owl appears during the song in reaction to Peter’s littering.  The political roundtable talk show in which the guests are separated by four squares ends with Alice from The Brady Bunch appearing in the center square as she did in the show’s theme song.  The Brady Bunch has also been featured in the following episodes:
    - Excellence in Broadcasting (2010)
    - Spies Reminiscent of Us (2009)
    - PTV (2005)
    - Emission Impossible (2001)
    - Death Has a Shadow (1999)
c. May 12, 2002--THE X-FILES--"Sunshine Days"--Reyes and Doggett investigate two murders revolving around a house that is, at some points in time, identical to the Brady Bunch house.

Winter 2004--SWIFFER COMMERCIAL--Florence Johnston (maid for THE JEFFERSONS), Alice (maid for the BRADY BUNCH), BENSON (former Lieutenant Governor of New York), Rosario (maid from WILL & GRACE), and Geoffrey (butler of THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR) attend a domestic servant convention in a tropical location.

2006—Arrested Development—“Exit Strategy”Detective Munch leads a scrapbooking club in hopes of getting a confession of treason out of Tobias Funke.

Robert Wronski doesn’t believe this is the same Detective Munch who appeared in just about every television series known to man. According to Rob, “I've been thinking of Detective Munch's appearances in Arrested Development and A Very Brady Sequel. Both take place while Munch is working in the SVU but in both of these he's working in Los Angeles. In Arrested Development, he's billed as Detective Munch and he's working with the CIA to find proof of treason amongst the Bluths. In A Very Brady Sequel, he's only credited as LAPD Detective, and he's working at the city desk. It doesn't make sense that this is the Detective Munch from SVU in these two crossovers, but it would make sense that this is Munch's twin brother, who works as a cop in LA.”
April 2009--SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS--"SpongeBob SquarePants Vs. the Big One"--Davy Jones appears.  Yes, the ghostly see legend Davy Jones appears often, but in this instance, it's an appearance of Davy Jones, formerly of the Monkees.

Dance Flick (2009) Poster

c. May 22, 2009--DANCE FLICK--The Bradys appear.  I haven't seen this film, so I'm not sure if this film is better suited for the Not Another Spoof Movie Universe (TVCU-80).
c. December 1, 2009--AMERICAN PIE PRESENTS:  THE BOOK OF LOVE--From Matt Hickman: So in American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, the main characters find the book of love. It gets destroyed so they go to the original creator Noah Levenstein (Jim's Dad) and recreate it. He calls up some contributors from over the years including Dustin Diamond, C. Thomas Howell, Robert Romanus, Tim Matheson and Christopher Knight. Since they're not named I'm just going to assume they're all older versions of their characters from Saved by the Bell, Secret Admirer, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Animal House and the Brady Bunch.
c. June 20, 2012--BIGFOOT--From Toby O'Brien: From the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, about the June 30 Syfy movie "Bigfoot" (starring Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams): "If you squint hard enough, you might be able to get some fun out of pretending this is actually a 'Brady Bunch'/'Partridge Family'/Harry And The Hendersons' crossover episode. I know I did!"
Bigfoot 2012 DVD.jpg
December 1, 2012--LADIES OF RAP--"TV Moms"--A ditzy girl thinks she's pregnant when suddenly 3 famous TV moms come out of the TV to rap some advice to her.  The moms are Peggy Bundy (MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN), Carol Brady (THE BRADY BUNCH), and Marge Simpson (THE SIMPSONS).
September 2014--TOSH.0--In an episode of Tosh.0 from this month, Tosh interviews a musical family in a familiar place. It's the Brady's back yard, and the family's dad/band leader says the home they are at was once owned by a famous architect who later died of AIDS.
THE POSSIBLE FUTURE...--REBOOT-- On July 31, 2012, it was announced that CBS was developing a possible new The Brady Bunch series, produced by and starring Vince Vaughn. The series would act as a pseudo-sequel, in which Vaughn portrays an adult Bobby Brady, who has been divorced, but remarries to start a new family.

TVCU 52
TVCU- 2-Reboots; this is also a world where vampires have been outed, the world fears mutants, and giant monsters do rise and wreak havoc. This is the setting of THE BRADY BUNCH IN THE WHITE HOUSE, where the original Mike Brady's nephew, also named Mike Brady, become President of the United States in 2001. This is not placed here because it's a reboot film. I've reconciled that the reboot films are the story of Mike's nephew named Mike. However, because of the nature of Mike becoming president, this has to take place in a divergent timeline. In the main TVCU timeline, TVCU-0 (or TVCU-Prime), George W. Bush was elected in 2000 and served from 2001 - 2008, as seen in numerous TVCU included series.
TVCU-12-DCAU. On TEEN TITANS episode "Employee of the Month", when Beast Boy is selling vacuums, the exterior shot of the Brady household is used. The interior is also the same as the Brady household.
TVCU- 28-Robot Chicken. The Brady Bunch is spoofed in "Suck It".

TVCU-29-Skitlandia and non-canon commercials. The setting for the Brady Bunch spook sketch from the AMANDA SHOW episode "When Bradys Attack".

This is the setting of UNAUTHORIZED BRADY BUNCH: THE FINAL DAYS, BRADY BUNCH HOME MOVIES, THE BRADY BUNCH 35TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION SPECIAL: STILL BRADY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, THE BRADY BUNCH CAST BACK IN HAWAII, THE BRADY BUNCH: COMING TOGETHER UNDER ONE ROOF and COME ON, GET HAPPY: THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY STORY.

TVCU- 38-A world with a secret history of heroes, monsters, and other things beyond what we see outside our window. Perhaps it should be noted that elements as disparate as the Abbott and Costello films, "Gilligan's Island," "Hogan's Heroes," and Scooby Doo have been included in the "consensus" WNU via legitimate crossovers with established WNU alumni. I personally have made cases for wolding Nickelodeon shows such as "Drake and Josh," "Zoey 101," and "iCarly," as each of those shows have elements that would, IMO, fit in the "consensus" WNU schema. I have also personally brought in "The Brady Bunch," including keeping elements from their animated spin-off series, "The Brady Kids," as an important part of their WNU iteration. It should also be noted that in Win Scott Eckert's two volumes of CROSSOVERS (simply replacing the 'WNU' appellation with the Crossover Universe), his set of inclusion is cast far and wide, having no problem with including the likes of Josie and the Pussycats. --Chris N

Return of the Quickie: Comics to Screen Part I: DC Comics

This blog post is about DC Comics characters that have been adapted to the screen...as it relates to the multiverses of DC Canon.  My upcoming TELEVISION CROSSOVER UNIVERSE:  WORLDS AND MYTHOLOGY will cover how DC Comics characters and series fit into the Television Crossover Multiverse, and my other upcoming book, the Cartoon Crossover Encyclopedia, will do the same for DC characters and series in the Cartoon Multiverse.  But DC over the years has also established that their own shows and movies exist within their own multiverse.  And so that's what I'm talking about today, since this is a blog about shared realities of television and film.

OmniverseOriginally according to The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe 2004, "the omniverse is the collection of every single universe, multiverse, dimension (alternate or pocket) and realm."
Original MultiverseCatalogedOriginally there was no consistency regarding "numbered" Earths—they would be either spelled out as words or use numbers even within the same story. For example, "Crisis on Earth-Three!" (Justice League of America (vol. 1) #29, August 1964) uses "Earth-3" and "Earth-Three" interchangeably. However, a tradition of spelling out the numbers emerged in "The Most Dangerous Earth" (Justice League of America (vol. 1) #30, September 1964). This convention was disregarded in Crisis on Infinite Earths, and it became common practice to refer to the various Earths with numerals instead. Infinite Crisis reverted to the original practice, but  52  and  Countdown  have referred to the alternate universes with numerals. In this single universe, the timeline was destroyed in the early 1990s by Hal Jordan (possessed by Parallax) and created an slightly changed timeline (Zero Hour, 1994). It was later revealed that this Central Timeline was like a river with branches. This branches were like different realities, the history of Earth was different in every branch and everything could be possible in them. They could affect the Central Timeline as they return to the mainstream and the heroes could encounter with different versions of themselves. However, they where somewhat ephemeral as the Central Timeline is the only one that could prevail (The Kingdom, 1999).After Crisis on Infinite Earths, there was no place for alternate realities, although they could exist in the form of ephemeral timelines (Hypertime), dimensions (such as the fifth dimension or the Fourth World) or Universes inside the Universe (Legion of Super-Heroes' Pocket Universe, Amalgam Universe). However, there was contact with realities that existed outside the Universe such as those from Marvel, Milestone and Wildstorm. The collection of universes, multiverses and others that are unrelated, is most of the times called Megaverse. Some also call it the Omniverse but tend to include the Real World when using this denomination.
The contact of these worlds usually brought cataclysms, being the most common, the amalgamation. Traveling between these realities was extremely hard, only two characters were capable of doing so with natural abilities: Rift, who existed in both the DC and Milestone Universes, and Access, who had the task of keeping DC and Marvel separated to prevent amalgamation.
Most of the times, these events were either forgotten (as shown in the Unlimited Access miniseries as Access has the power to annul or restore the memories of heroes) or believed to be "dreams" (as shown in DC/Milestone: Worlds Collide and DC/Wildstorm: Dreamwar), which in the end left few traces of the events in the respective continuities. The Wilstorm Universe was part of a larger multiverse but was separated after a multiversal cataclysm, forming a multiverse of its own (Shattered Image). Organizations known as  Planetary  and The Authority were capable of traveling across the Multiverse and were also able to map it. Its structure was described as a web of 196,833 universes arranged in a pattern resembling a snowflake, each universe separated from its neighbors by a medium called the Bleed. The Bleed prevented the Universes from colliding and was inhabited by "fauna" that despised all different Earths. Constantine The reality that this film exists in is said to be an alternate reality in Hellblazer.HypertimeThe Kingdom #1Structure of the time stream of the DC Universe. All retcons, "imaginary stories", alternate timelines, Elseworlds, appearances in other media and even worlds of the former multiverse are branches of the main stream. Like in a river, these branches usually returned to the main stream and affected it, which explained retcons and certain interactions with the main timeline. The 52A new Multiverse was revealed at the end of the  52  weekly limited series. Unlike the original Multiverse, which was composed of an infinite number of alternate universes, this Multiverse is composed of a predetermined number of alternate universes, which were originally referred to as New Earth and Earths 1 through 51, although erroneously in Tangent: Superman's Reign #1, New Earth is referred to as Earth-1; however, in Final Crisis: Superman Beyond #1, New Earth is instead designated Earth-0. Dan Didio has since explicitly denied that New Earth is Earth-1. The alternate universes were originally identical to New Earth and contained the same history and people until Mister Mind "devoured" portions of each Earth’s history, creating new, distinct Earths with their own histories and people, such as the Nazi-themed version of the Justice League that exists in Earth-10. Each of the alternate universes have their own parallel dimensions, divergent timelines, microverses, etc., branching off them. The Guardians of the Universe serve as protectors of the new Multiverse. Each universe within the Multiverse is separated by a Source Wall, behind which Anti-Life keeps the universes apart. The Bleed permeates the Anti-Life in unpredictable places behind the Source Wall, allowing for transport between the universes. The destruction of New Earth would set off a chain reaction that would destroy the other fifty-one alternate universes at the same time, leaving only the Antimatter Universe in existence. As a consequence of Alexander Luthor's attempts to recreate the Multiverse, fifty-two new Monitors were created to oversee the fifty-two universes created afterwards. The Monitors seek to protect the Multiverse from people who crossover from one alternate universe to another, through the Bleed or through innate ability, who the Monitors have labeled "anomalies".A partial list of some of the alternate universes that make up the new Multiverse was revealed in late November 2007.Earth-12Post-52Characters and settings shown in the DC animated universe, such as the  Batman Beyond  television seriesThe Green Lantern of Earth-12 is a descendant of Hal Jordan. In Countdown: Arena #1, it is explained that seven Green Lanterns patrol the "seven primary galaxies" and that Hal Jordan's descendant patrols the Milky Way Galaxy.Countdown #21 (December 2007) and Countdown: Arena #1 (February 2008)Earth-16Post-52Characters shown in the Young Justice (TV series) .Young Justice (TV series) Episode 1:"Independence Day" (January 7, 2011) Earth-23 Post-52Characters shown in the  Batman: The Brave and the Bold  television seriesThis Earth's designation was shown in the episode "Deep Cover for Batman!".Batman: The Brave and the Bold Episode 1: "Rise of the Blue Beetle!"The New 52The  Flashpoint  story arc ended with a massive change to the Multiverse; to what extent it's entirely new, and to what extent it's as it was formed in the wake of 52, has not fully been established. Some worlds, like Earth-1 and Earth-23, appear to be entirely untouched, while others, like Earth-0, Earth-2, and Earth-16, have changed drastically. The Horror Crossover Encyclopedia is here!!! (Updated)

The Horror Crossover Encyclopedia is here!!!The book I’ve been talking about is finally here. That’s right. It’s the Horror Crossover Encyclopedia, the first in a series of books spun off from the Television Crossover Universe. Written by me, Robert E. Wronski, Jr., it also includes a bonus story and preface by James Bojaciuk, and a foreword by “Crazy” Ivan Ronald Schablotski! It also features and amazing cover by Axel Medellin. The e-book is currently available at AmazonGoodreads, and Smashwords. A print copy will become available in February. Though not in stores, 18thWall Productions has informed me that if you request it at your local bookstore, they should be able to order a copy for you.
