Back to School Spotlight

Hey guys,

I’m featured in Back to School Spotlight–Teen/YA on Kimberly’s blog My Bookish Bliss! Awesomeness, right?!

Although, like me, you might probably have been out of school for years already haha, why don’t you read Kimberley’s short interview with me?

If you want to know what the inspiration was for my book Look for Me Under the Rainbow, how long it took me to write it, what made me decide to be a YA writer, if my main character was modeled from a real person, or what my favorite ice cream flavor is, this is the place where you’ll find it out!

Thanks for your attention and hope you like my answers!

Thank you, Kimberly!

Cumulus Review

Cumulus Cumulus by Eliot Peper

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In his near-future thriller Cumulus, Eliot Peper sets his plot in his hometown Oakland around a passionate and talented young analog photographer, the founder and CEO of a tech giant and a frustrated intelligence agent.

If that doesn’t sound intriguing enough, the fact that Eliot Peper is one of the most talented writers of techno-thrillers today, should rush you to grab this book. Haunting startup stories with political intrigues are his specialty and playground, and Cumulus is yet another confirmation of that. Just a warning before you start reading it: you might get addicted!

Mistaken Identity Crisis Review

Mistaken Identity Crisis (Braxton Campus Mysteries #4) Mistaken Identity Crisis by James J. Cudney

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It is not an action book, but it’s packed with so much adrenaline that you rush through it like on a speed wagon. In Mistaken Identity Crisis James J. Cudney throws his main character Kellan into a series of challenging situations ranging from a string of jewelry thefts to a discovered electrified body smelling of murder for which his brother Gabriel is a suspect, the kidnapping of his wife Francesca and the mafia war between Castiglianos and Las Vargas families, his nana taking mayor’s office, an unexpected phone call from Hollywood, and, and, and.

Excitement never stops in a brilliant fourth book of the Braxton Campus Mysteries. Is it just my feeling or has James J. Cudney just added another notch on his golden belt?

Look for Me Under the Rainbow at Discount Price!

This is your opportunity! Look for Me Under the Rainbow at a 67% discount price during Kindle promo week!

Monday, June 24, 2019, 8:00 AM PDT through Sunday, June 30, 2019, 8:00 AM PDT

“I would have this book in schools everywhere, because it really teaches people (and kids) the cruelties of humans. The story as a whole and Danny reminded me of Bambi. Highly recommend the book!”—John-Clement Gallo, author of The Shadowverse

An excerpt from the book:

Danny watched with joy as baby seals crawled out from hollows in the ice that served as cots and waddled to their mothers. They hungrily suckled on warm milk before returning to their ice beds to continue their sleep.

Danny’s seemingly indifferent father strutted around their group, protecting them from unexpected enemies. Now and then he emitted a proud bellow. The sight not far from him was in every faction full of love; Danny could hardly stop himself from running to join them. He wanted to snatch some of that warm intimacy for himself, as well as play with the new pups. He wished he could get closer to his father too. Though he reached out to him several times, his father treated him with such aloofness Danny backed off—ashamed and aching. Alone. Back to the loneliness in which he spent the first eight days of his life, because his mother would still not let him join the others.

“But, Mom, why aren’t we living with other seals? Why are we alone? Why can’t I play with the others? Look how happy they are!” He watched with longing as two pups rolled down the icy slope, playfully holding each other by the neck.

“Be patient, son,” his mother always replied. “Soon you will be able to play with them, too.”

“But when, Mom, when?”

“Soon, Danny, very soon.”

Thank you for downloading your eBook!

They Both Die at the End Review

They Both Die at the End They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What would you do if you got a call telling you you’d die today? You have less than twenty-four hours to say goodbye to everyone you love and decide how you’ll spend your remaining hours, or, maybe even minutes.

They Both Die at the End is an amazing human story about Mateo and Rufus, two teenage boys and total strangers who met through an app to spend their last day together as Last Friends. It is the story that sticks to us like the strongest glue as we watch their relationship develop in a shocking speed toward the final countdown and ultimate end.

Adam Silvera is one of a few authors today who has the knowledge and power to play with our hearts and emotions with the ease of a child playing with its toys. He does it gentle, caring, but he goes all the way until he dries our eyes from tears.

His stories will shake our insides and awake our strongest and deepest feelings and emotions, making us feel so alive. His novel They Both Die at the End is no exception. It is a masterpiece of sadness and glorified humanity.

Sea of Glass Book Review

Sea of Glass Sea of Glass by Rebecca Gransden

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Maybe you won’t choose Rebecca Gransden for your survival guide, but if you are looking for an expert guide through horror, gory, macabre, bizarre, and everything that borders with (in)sanity and survival, Rebecca Gransden is someone you’ll call!

The first pages of her novella Sea of Glass left me glued to the sudden chaos happening outside the tower. Yet the true chaos is to begin when Kattar Bassis escapes the street inferno and finds shelter within the glass walls of his building. Roaming its floors, he only wishes to find EXIT and survive, on his way discovering and stumbling upon things beyond our imagination.

Rebecca Gransden’s mind is eons away from average literary efforts and accomplishments, her brain works with cybernetic precision in creating the atmosphere and feelings of hopelessness, fear, frustration and the impossible. Her voice is soothing as she narrate-walks us through the labyrinth of puzzle-like crafted sentences that sometimes leave us wondering and contemplating and sometimes with a suppressed exclamation Wow! on our mute lips.

Still waiting to see whether it will leave a permanent mark on my psyche, I can conclude that Sea of Glass is a story to be re-read, Sea of Glass is a story for the highest acclaim.

Flower Power Trip Book Review

Flower Power Trip (Braxton Campus Mysteries #3) Flower Power Trip by James J. Cudney

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

While Kellan Ayrwick, a brilliant one, as his Nana D likes to call him, is trying to resolve a new Braxton murder, he is not aware of another mystery that will hit closer to his home.

Flower Power Trip is a multilayer story full of memorable characters, blooming with an irresistible charm. This is the third book in the Braxton Campus Mysteries and if you haven’t read the first two books, please do that. As the author takes us deeper into the life of Braxton, the more we love it. From book to book his characters are more alive, more realistic, more present and funnier and we want to hang out with them more!

Their creator James J. Cudney, a brilliant one, is making us addicted to his cozies and people we’ll miss and wait with expectation until the next book from the series downloads to our Kindle or lands on our bookshelves.

Marcel: 13 Years Later

Thirteen is my lucky number. But not when it’s the number of the years I’ve been missing you. Not when I go through life without you. My brother, my friend, my everything.

My heart is full and empty, of memories and sadness. Despite losing you, I’m a rich man, thanks to you.

You are not here anymore but your monument is still standing. As long as I stand, and maybe even a little longer. Thanks to everyone who reads about you and loved you.

A World Without Color is your home now. This is where we live, love.

Thank you for everything.

My thoughts come rushing back like raging currents of mountain rivers that do not stop for anything or anyone. Hurrying with a roar to their finish line, completely self-sufficient. Each word I make immortal here must be engraved with the dedication of a blind stonemason who, just by sense of touch and guided by indestructible faith, creates from the shapeless mass a work which present generations, but also those who come after, will admire. Those who are alive today, and their children who are just born, setting the foundation for new generations. This is our written monument and I snuggle up against it, blinded by the pain inflicted upon me by every minute that takes us into the future. The future is what I want to avoid at any cost, selfishly keeping the present so these moments last as long as possible. Not thinking about you and the relief it will bring you. We are both on the road of no return. Do you think so too? Do you also feel at least a fraction of regret we will part soon, with no guarantee and no promise that, in the blink of an eye or the distant future, we might meet each other again? Tell me, dearest....
