Sekji Ani Difficult question.

It may sound a bit embarrassing, but I began my first novel after reading what I considered a really crappy fantasy book. And the author had dozens of books published by a big name publishing company. I arrogantly thought that I could do better than that. Well I hope I have. My novel Falling Down the Aether Sky and the sequel Approaching the Well of Still Time (TBreleased August 7) are dystopian cyberpunk, not fantasy. But I had to admit, writing is challenging and difficult. I now write because I love to and it is a challenge. Since I still am full time employed, I don't get to write nearly as much as I would like to, but I keep plugging away. I am starting a new series Cataclysmic Realm: The Clan of the Poisoners, which is not quite fantasy, but more world building taking place about 10,000 years in the future. This is taking lots of environmental research. I also want to bring into my book social/technological and environmental issues that are important to me, but are not to dominate in the book. Thank you. Sorry this took so long to respond.
Sekji Ani So Sorry I haven't answered this, I'm new to this!

Best thing about writing for me is how challenging it is. I come from a visual art background, so trying to take the visual narrative and translate it in to words is difficult. I need to try to write for both visual readers and word readers. It is pretty exciting when I finally get a narrative to where I want it and how it flows. But then it does go to the beta readers and editors for their input as well.
Sekji Ani Writing is hard work, but like any other endeavors, it is worth it.
Sekji Ani Living in Morocco for ten years I was able to experience very rural life with people who have no technology and then go to the cities and have cybercafe's and modern amenities. living there, I began to ponder the rapid influx of technology on people's lives and possible consequences.
Sekji Ani I usually don't have writer's block, more; I don't have as much time as I would like to write. The best way to work through writer's block is to set aside time each day. And write. Even if it is just 1 word or 1 page. Just write every day.
Sekji Ani The sequel/second half of the story, tentatively titled, Approaching the Well of Still Time
