L.A. Kent Well, so many mysteries to choose from! How and why does one from the North East develop a posh southern accent overnight? Why did I end up driving through Soweto (quickly) all those years ago? How did I escape the machine gum toting thugs in the black BMW on a sunny Johannesburg afternoon? Why did I make friends with the Hells Angel that bit the head off a live chicken on a sunny and crowded Dorset beach in the middle of summer? To mention just a few.
L.A. Kent Elvis Cole and Joe Pike. Great team, fun, and they get results.
L.A. Kent Go back to my notes and ideas in the moleskein and write a few more, then expand on them in a part of the story I've not written about yet. Could be totally disconnected from what is already written.
L.A. Kent Giving yourself permission to be as creative as you like with your own stories.
L.A. Kent Just do it! Don't worry too much about getting published - just get the story written.
L.A. Kent Working on the next in the Treloar series (Broken Dove), which is set in a different location in Cornwall, further West, with input from the Barcelona area too as one of the main characters (one of Treloars relatives) is Catalan.
L.A. Kent Seeing the beautiful locations around Cornwall, researching location ideas, and thinking back to unusual experiences with and around 'unusual' people and 'unusual' therapists.
L.A. Kent Rogue Flamingo is our first book; it was Louise's idea and developed out of a short story about an obnoxious man traveling through a busy airport with family and friends to a holiday in Cornwall (where we live). We notched up many air-miles in our corporate careers so the airport parts are realistic, being based on personal knowledge and experience of similar situations.

Louise also wanted to write about a Cornwall based detective as there hasn't been a popular series like this for many years, and Andy had always fancied developing a psychopathic character using some of his experiences in the world of psychotherapy - so the Treloar series was born.
