They do run concurrently; the best guide to the order to read them if you want to follow the in-world chronology is by their publication dates. If you want to keep the near-future, far future, and farther future timelines separate, you could save "Beyond the Institute" and "Galactic Discipline" for last.

Sorry it took me a while to see this question! It is, it's from "Lamia," specifically. :)

Hi! I'm so sorry it took me so long to see this question! I'm actually signing readers up for my ARC team right now; message me if you'd like the link!

Hi! I'm so sorry it took me so long to see your question! Try "The Sister-Wives of Prophettown"

Thanks so much for the kind words, Glenn! I'm afraid I don't. It's just the way my own BDSM orientation works.

No, I'm afraid that was a limited-time offering. If you sign up for my newsletters, though, you can get a whole bunch of books for free...

Thanks for the question! I'm afraid this answer won't satisfy you, but it's got the benefit of being the truth. I never wrote more of Jane's story because it seemed to me to be taking shape like several other of my Institute stories. In my mind, Jane's later career at the Institute follows much the same course as Kristin's in "At Leo's Command." By that time, I'd begun to want to tell different kinds of Institute stories.

They're some of the many wonderful models of the stock photography world. :)

Probably because in my fantasies I'm a slutty doormat. :)
I guess I would respectfully disagree on the "simpering" front, but I do find it difficult to write strong-willed heroines because in fantasy I'm such a good girl myself. I agree that in real life submissives have to be strong and daring to live their erotic identities in a world that rejects their desires.
I guess I think the "kidnapped and enlsaved" issue is different from the character issue. Again, though, that's because of my own fantasies, and I'm sorry they don't appeal to you!

I'm going to go a little off the beaten path with this one, because I frankly have so many favorites that I want to highlight one that could easily get overlooked, and which dovetails very nicely with my next book, due out sometime soon. Lily Dale and John Eames, of Anthony Trollope's "The Small House at Allington" and "The Last Chronicle of Barset" never get together, and that's frustrating. It's also Trollope's best portrayal, in my opinion, of the plight of the Victorian gentleman's daughter. Worth checking out, if Victorian is a thing for you.

(view spoiler)[Well, I think I can answer two ways, and they're both equally true.
First, to be entirely honest about my mercenary intentions: I wanted the reader to want to read more about the Institute. I had a serious dilemma as to whether to write out the end of the examination scene, and include the kind of "action" that you'll find in, for example, _Bought and Trained_. I decided against it because I want people to read, for example, _Bought and Trained_. :)
Second, I felt that I had completed the arc of Jane's realization that she wanted to be a concubine, and the moment she sees the toy (which I actually wanted *not* to have to describe more fully because sometimes the unseen is more arousing, just as it's certainly more scary) seemed to me to represent the turning point for her and the true denouement of that short story.
Thanks so much for the question! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[WTF ! I am not a fan of serial blogs or books in general. I buy books on many venues. I bought Explorations: 1st notebook on Blushing four days ago, figuring to buy the 2nd at a future date. Now, I just received an email for the Omnibus which DID NOT show on your author page the day I bought 1st notebook! Where is the end?
I am disappointed I bought this book. (hide spoiler)]

The Omnibus just showed up on Blushing on Monday. I'm really sorry about that! If you find me on Facebook or Google Plus, I'll try to make it up to you with a freebie.

(And, by the way, the Omnibus has everything, including the two notebooks.)

Hi Rowan! I'm a huge spanko, so spanking blogs like Rollin Hand's Disciplinary Tales and Bonnie's My Bottom Smarts (which, though it's dormant now, has wonderful archives and a blogroll that's still updated) are favorites.
On the more general BDSM side, I don't think you can beat Nikki Blue and Heather Cole's Vagina Antics!
Thanks so much for asking. :)

LOL! Yes, it took me a LONG time to be able to write it that way. I think it was the hundredth or so time I was reading my favorite scenes from "Story of O," and I realized that those scenes all had something in common. . . something I wanted very badly. . . :D
Emily Tilton
When I tried to write more conventional stuff, I always got blocked. For better or worse, though, whenever I have trouble in writing erotica, I just skip to a hot part that I can write one-handed, and the block is gone.

Living multiple lives!

Really this is just for erotica writers: if it's hot for you, it's probably hot for someone else. That erotica you wrote to turn yourself on, because no one had written the story you really wanted to read? Publish it!
Emily Tilton
A fellow author who likes my stuff was joking about how she wanted Master Leo from "Bought and Trained" to train her and fall in love with her. It got me thinking. . . it's tentatively called "At Leo's Command."
Emily Tilton
Umm, well, this is kind of naughty, but when I'm reading one-handed, if you know what I mean, I'll often think, "Wow, that's hot, but what if. . ." :D

If we call "An Extreme Marriage" my most recent book, the answer is very fun. See this blog post!
