M.C.A. Hogarth It's already out! After "From Ruins", you should move on to "Healer's Wedding," and then "Farmer's Crown," and then "Heartskein." (The book that follows Heartskein is almost done... I'm guessing a late June release, maybe.)

Go, enjoy! :D
M.C.A. Hogarth I have one possible Jokka book (set in the past) on my list of possibilities (along with a sequel to Rosary!) but you seem to have fallen in love with my least popular series! Which means from an economic perspective I have to write them when I have some give in my budget. So I couldn't give you a firm date on when any of that will happen...!

Who knows, though, that those series might not suddenly get a lot more attention, and then I will have plenty of opportunity...! <3
M.C.A. Hogarth I just contracted with a narrator to do the Dreamhealers series! Book 1 will be ready in early 2019, and then we'll keep going from there. <3

Most of my audiobooks get published early on my Patreon--all the Jokka audiobooks are up on Patreon (and not available yet at retailers), and the second book of the Princes' Game series is going up there in advance as well, so if you are super-impatient you can get them there! Otherwise, 'as soon as I can get them done' is when they'll be up. :)

M.C.A. Hogarth Yes we will! As soon as I finish up Sediryl's novel this month, I'm moving on to the wedding/coronation story, which takes place on the Eldritch homeworld... we'll see not only Reese and Hirianthial, but Jahir, Vasiht'h, Sehvi, Vasiht'h's mom, and Liolesa and all her favorites!

Plus, some new antagonists... *wiggly eyebrows*
M.C.A. Hogarth Hi, Rita! I would love to return to the Twin Kingdoms setting! I had five books planned for it, and they're sitting in outline. It has to wait on projects that pay better, though... my romances are so niche they sell fewer copies than almost anything else I've written! My Patreon lets me swing one niche project a year, but I already booked 2018's. Maybe 2019 will be the year. :)

In the meantime, if you loved them, tell your friends about them! The better they sell, the more time I can justify spending on them. And I'd love to, because I have plans for Amet and Always and Dancer... and for Clouds and Beautiful too... *innocent look*
M.C.A. Hogarth o/~ Does it have to be a snowman...

I've got sand... o/~
M.C.A. Hogarth Some characters are olllllld, very very old, and have been around a long time. (I'm looking at you, Jahir and Vasiht'h. And you too, Alysha.) Some just coalesce when I'm writing and I think, 'Oh hey, hi 2 u!' And then I want to keep them around because they're interesting people. So I guess the answer to the first part of your question is 'sometimes'?

Life, why u so complicated. >.>

As for part two of your question, I think all art is a reflection of its creator, so in that sense, everything I write, characters included, is part of me. Those characters are also a part of everyone I meet and everyone I observe and all the people I listen to in coffee shops and all the people I've loved and found repellent, and the entire gamut in between...! So, you know, I'm pretty safely hidden. Please do not come up to me and ask me if I want to participate in questionable bondage threesomes because I must be Lisinthir, having written him.

Yes, that happened.

-_-

Seriously, don't do that. >.>

Next question?? *sweatdrops*
M.C.A. Hogarth Stroke while driving. Child in backseat.
M.C.A. Hogarth I would love to write at least one more book in Kherishdar (finishing the incomplete story of the Exception)! But I have a couple of issues right now. The first (and sadly, the most urgent), is that Kherishdar doesn't sell as well as my other series. I have to prioritize series that pay bills over those I do for smaller audiences.

I'd like to fix that with Patreon; I do have a 'if I meet this goal I can afford to write more niche works' goal that I'm super-close to achieving. So maybe we can take care of that soon.

My other issue is that I like to write Kherishdar "in company," with audience participation. I used to do this via serialization on Livejournal, but even before I stopped blogging, Livejournal was losing a lot of people and the interactivity wasn't where I wanted it to be. Patreon's user comment system is currently abysmal (sorry, Patreon! But it's true), so moving it there isn't ideal. I'm at a loss, then, where to host any new Kherishdar works where they'd get the kind of interaction that made the first three stories so powerful. Suggestions are welcome!

So in short, I guess my answer is: "I hope to, we'll see"? Which admittedly isn't the most satisfying answer, but. -_-

Thank you for asking, though! I'm glad Kherishdar has fans. <3
M.C.A. Hogarth I think nutmeg kerinne sounds amazing, and I would love to hear how it turns out!

The thing to remember about kerinne is that it's like 'hot chocolate' or 'coffee'. Just like we have six billion coffee drinks, and hot chocolates ranging from things made with powdered cocoa and milk solids to melted hot chocolate stirred with cinnamon and chili peppers, kerinne is a base that everyone adjusts or experiments with. Chocolate kerinne, vanilla kerinne, kerinnes with different spices... all of it is a valid take on the base, which is basically butter and cream and sugar. I like to think of it as drinking a cookie dough because the initial step (of creaming butter with sugar) is the same as with a lot of cookie doughs. :)

So absolutely, make Elizabeth-style nutmeg kerinne, if you are fond of nutmeg! And thank you for the question! <3
M.C.A. Hogarth It doesn't affect me much, since most of the sales I make into Europe go through a third party that's already assessing VAT (though it does mean that the prices of my books in the EU are going to go up, something that irritates me). However, my premonition is that it's going to cause a lot of people to preemptively stop selling into the EU because they're not going to want to do the paperwork, and I don't think that's any good for anyone. :/
