I greatly enjoyed the Whyborne & Griffin series and would like to know about the rest of your work: Are any series finished? Do the seasons of some series contain finished storyarches or are there cliffhangers? Is there a reading order to the different series? I really dislike waiting for "to be continued"... And thank you very much for your books! I love your setting, characters, and humor!

Jordan L. Hawk The SPECTR series are like tv seasons, in that each has a "big bad" and a story arch that wraps up at the end. Hexworld is complete, and Hainted, The Magician's Angel, Fever, and Infernal Affairs are all stand alones. I hope this helps!

Hi, I just finished the SPECTR books -- I couldn't put them down the whole time I was reading, and luckily the last one came in just before I finished book 3/5. Now I'm waiting with bated breath for Series 4. What wonderful characters and great storylines! I also like that the series were written episodically as if they were a TV show. I'm wondering if you have been in any talks about realizing the books as a TV show?

Jordan L. Hawk Thank you so much! So far no one has reached out about adapting any of my books for TV, but I think SPECTR would be a natural fit.

I just found your books a few weeks ago. So far, I've read the Hexworld and Whyborne & Griffin series, and I'm on book three of Rath & Rune. While I'm planning to go on to the SPECTR books after that, I'm so in love with Widdershins! And I'm so sad that I'm going to have to wait for books 4 and 5 in Rath & Rune. Do you have a timeline on those books, if that's not too presumptuous to ask?

Thanks for your books! I love all of your series, and I'm from east TN, so I love it when you go Appalachian, like in Hainted. My question: Have you read Elizabeth Peters's Amelia Peabody series? I think of Amelia every time I read a good W&G scene with Christine Putnam.

Jordan L. Hawk Thank you so much! I have indeed read the series, and the book "Amelia Peabody's Egypt" was a great resource for details on Victorian-era archaeology when I was researching Necropolis.

Hi! I am kinda late but it's been more than a year and SPECTR still has no more books and I just finished 3 #5 after re-reading, thinking it's going to tie off the storyline - and the opposite happened. Can I look forward to anything in the future or is that it??? Thank you!

Jordan L. Hawk This year has been slow because a lot of it has been spent in a multi-state move, but I will be working on the next SPECTR book before the end of the year!

Started reading Unhallowed a few days ago, then just now noticed Widdershins on my to-read list. How do these series intersect? Should I be reading Whyborne and Griffin first?

Jordan L. Hawk Unhallowed takes place 8 years after Whyborne & Griffin. I tried to write it so that you can start with either series first and enjoy it without having to be familiar with the lore.

Jordan L. Hawk I ran into some issues while writing it and switched projects. In the meantime, I figured out my problem and intend to get back to it as soon as I'm finished with the next Rath & Rune book!

Hello! Love your work! I started with Outfoxing the Paranormal and am now four books deep into the Whyborne and Griffin series c: If it's not too much trouble, may I ask how long it takes to write each book approximately? Have a good day and thanks for reading!

Jordan L. Hawk Thank you! It depends a lot on the book--some I can finish in a matter of weeks, others require a lot more time trying to figure things out. Any W&G books that centered on Griffin's issues (such as Stormhaven) always took forever compared to the ones centering Whyborne!

Hello! I became a big fan starting with W&G and I just finished listening to the entire SPECTR series as well as R&R. I love the way you incorporate culture and lore into your stories -- so engaging! I wonder if there is a list of your upcoming works anywhere? Even if the schedule is tentative, I'm eager to stay tuned about what's coming next. :3

Jordan L. Hawk Thank you! My current plan is to finish the book I'm working on now (unrelated to any series), then move on to the next SPECTR installment, and from there to the second book in The Pride. :)

Hi. I've just recently gotten into audiobooks, and I bought the Widdershins series. I was disappointed that Undertow wasn't available though. Will it ever be? Do you know?

Many thanks Ms Hawk! I’ll check out The Pride and look out for the next installment of Hexworld? I thought Hexworld was over. (Writers need a break too ❤️)?

Jordan L. Hawk I started work on Hexworld 5 last year, but realized it needed some recalibration. So I set it aside and turned my focus on The Pride instead. Given all the stress of last year, it was better to put the series on hiatus for a bit until I can do it justice.

Jordan L. Hawk Thank you! Hexworld is on temporary hiatus, but I hope to get back to it before the end of this year. In the meantime, the first book in The Pride, a Hexworld-universe series, will be out very soon. I'll have an announcement with all the details next week at the latest. :)

Hello! I'm a big fan of your SPECTR series. They've been my favourite books for the last five years to be quite honest! So I was wondering how many books there are going to be in the third series? And then, will there be a fourth series? Or anything else planned for that universe?

Jordan L. Hawk Thank you! There will be six books in Series 3, and a fourth and final series to follow.

I've been feverently checking (not at all stalking) the various sites for news of the audiobook copy of Unhallowed (Rath & Rune #1), but I haven't seen any news about it, unless I'm just missing it. Are there any plans for it?

Jordan L. Hawk It's completely recorded and done, just waiting on the gods of Audible to give it their blessing. :)

Whyborne & Griffin is one of the best series I've ever read in my life. It's one of those series that during the reading I am already dreading the ending--in a sense that I wish for it to never end. Just love it. Would you consider writing book 12 or maybe a continuation of the adventure? Seriously it's just that good! To be fair I feel like I really miss Whyborne, Griffin and Christine

Jordan L. Hawk Thank you so much! At this point, I feel like I left them in a good, and hopefully satisfying, place. Though they've gone on to other adventures, I have no plans to continue the series at this time.

Jordan L. Hawk Yes! The formal series name is Rath & Rune, and it will follow the same couple throughout. Currently there are 5 books planned.
