Other questions: (1) Did Faine ever have any children (either dragon or human)? There is no mention of "Birth Control"... yet it seems that even though Faine had a total of 4 lovers (Meena, Lysse, Isth, Lark) -- there were NEVER any children! Especially since Faine spent much of his life with Isth! (2) It seems that Lark decided to kiss Faine BEFORE he started to touch her... Is that true? And, how did the fact t

Here is another question... Since Lark had suffered HORRIBLY by the husband that was brutal to her AND whom she was "forced" to kill (for survival), it sounds as if she was willing to KISS Faine even before he started to touch her... Is that correct?

I read your story in F&SF -- and was very "taken" with it. But, since you described how Faine actually "wrote" the story, I have a few questions. 1. When you describe Lark asking Faine to "transport" her, then Faine tells LArk to start touching him (i.e., Faine). You describe how Lark does this until she starts to cry. WHY would she cry when she was the one touching Faine?? 2. More questions to follow...

J.A. Pak Lark was very moved by the experience. People often cry or laugh when deeply moved. No doubt, there were times when Lark laughed as well.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

J.A. Pak Modern relationships was the inspiration for All Married Together. Up until very recent times, marriage was as much about economics as about love (it still is in many parts of the world). Today, women can support themselves and don't need marriage to survive. So what does marriage mean today? And why is it so important? What does it mean to be married?
