Ginger Voight Hi, Lorena! :D Thanks so much for reading. I, too, share your concerns about Carly. Things are going to be challenging going forward. (Especially with that jerk Wyatt. Ick.) We'll find out what happens to her in the next series of books in my Groupieverse, starting with Rewound releasing in 2019.
Ginger Voight It is not a standalone. It does end on a cliffhanger. Thanks!
Ginger Voight Aww, big hugs for the sorrow you felt about the way Enraptured ended. Unfortunately, I cannot rewrite history. But the Fullerton Family Saga will rise again with Jonathan's story someday, so hold onto the love you have for this family. They will return.
Ginger Voight I've been looking into it, actually. Stay tuned!
Ginger Voight Thanks for the great question, Cheyenne! :)

Ginger Voight The book I am currently writing came to me while I was homeless in Los Angeles in 1989. I followed one of the loves of my life across the country only to end up on the less glittery side of Tinseltown, and that was truly an eye-opening experience. As I sat in our car/apartment, "Welcome to the Jungle" came on the radio. I was in the right place to craft an "innocence lost" story and it just sprang from there. These characters and this plot has gestated for 25 years. Honestly it brings tears to my eyes to see these characters finally come to life on the page.
Ginger Voight The short answer is anything can inspire me. Music, random conversations, just letting my busy brain run uninterrupted as I chase down ideas. But that's just the beginning of the process. What plants my butt in the seat to hammer out an outline and do all the heavy lifting is figuring out how I can explore the ideas in new ways. What do I have to say that is any different than anyone else? Sometimes my characters lead me, sometimes I go into the project with a definite idea of what I want to say. But in the end, if it interests me enough to peel back the layers of "why" and teaches me something about myself, the world around me or society in general, that's all the inspiration I need.
Ginger Voight I'm working on a new trilogy based off of the idea for the first book I wrote in 1989. It's about a MC and a biker I'm super excited for everyone to meet. This is not your typical romance. But then again, I don't tend to write typical romances anyway.
Ginger Voight Be prepared to work. As fun as it sounds to make your living in the land of make-believe (and it is,) there's a lot of hard work that goes into the process. Learn to love that more than any trappings of success that follow. You can't guarantee a bestseller. You can guarantee the best book you can possibly write. So put the book first. Work hard, polish and tinker. Present your best ideas in your best voice. Everything else will come when it's time. You'll still have to hustle, but it'll be worth every second.
Ginger Voight The best part of being a writer is having your characters surprise you. When you develop an outline or craft the story, there are a bunch of little details yet to discover, details that only your characters can show you. As the picture fills in, it becomes oh so much more than you thought it would be. That anyone else wants to come along for the ride, reading every book and sharing their love with you unabashed, equally surprised and delighted by what you find, is the big ol' cherry on top of it.
Ginger Voight The best way to deal with writer's block is to write. Write something, anything, and that will get the juices flowing again, even if it's like pulling teeth to start. Sometimes I re-read to get myself back in the groove or listen to my writing playlists, but I've always found the best way around is through.
