Ravyn Karasu The tests all said that she was pregnant. But, she was a virgin.
Ravyn Karasu Just finished The Green Mile. Preparing to pick up Thinner or Pet Sematary
Ravyn Karasu I'm not entirely sure which couples would be my FAVORITE. As far as my own works, I have a soft spot for Matthieu and Jeremiah from "Lord of the Maples," Liam and Lydia from "Silent Night" and Francis and Icarus from "Innocent." That's as of 2-15-17.
Ravyn Karasu It depends. Sometimes, I find myself being verbally cranky due to the frustration. I'll pace around and grumble and complain. It really sounds like I hate my job, but it's just part of trying to create SOMETHING in my head to work with.

Sometimes, I just take a break and do something else. This could mean working on another project entirely. This may mean that I take the time to do some artwork. I may play a game or watch something on Netflix. Sometimes, I will work on my language lessons (I'm currently learning German and Danish). Sometimes I'll just focus on my college homework.

Then, sometimes, I just have something to eat, take a shower, and then take a nap or some combination therein. It just depends on the type of story, the schedule I have that week, and how I feel.
Ravyn Karasu I can share the stories that I want to tell. Not only do I get to enjoy them in my head, but now other people can enjoy them too, over and over and again and again.
Ravyn Karasu Just do it. Everyone sucks when they start out and they get better the more they practice. Be confident in the work you do, but also be aware that you do need to improve. Even the experts continue to learn and improve. Don't get too offended if someone gives you constructive feedback.

You can't please everybody and it takes a while to learn what you do well and don't do well. You just have to learn as you go and build a reliable network as you go.
Ravyn Karasu As of right now (May 21, 2015) I have three projects going. All are Romance/Erotica primarily.

Grow On Me is a Romantic Fantasy about a young couple forced into an arranged marriage and learning to cope with one another.

The Krüelig Dragon is a Gay Erotic Romance/Science Fiction story about a boy who thinks he sees a dragon in the Nevada desert and, while trying to come to terms with his sexuality and win over a hot musician he likes, ends up somehow entangled in a conspiracy of Draconian Reptilian aliens, the Men in Black, Majestic agents while still trying to survive in his bigoted little town.

Doe-Eyes is my third current project. I'm not entirely sure if it's going to be a short story or a novella/novel yet. It depends on where the story goes and how long it takes to get there. If it remains a short story, it will likely be included in a short story collection called "The Animal in Me: Erotic Tales of Shifters & Werefolk," but if it grows into its own stand alone story, I'll just release it as a novella/novel.

I'm really excited about all these projects. Rest assured, there are a lot of other projects in the wings I plan to work on as I complete these ones. I got a LOT of ideas ranging from Erotica, Romance, Dark Fiction, Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Short Stories, Teen Fantasies/Fiction, and even some Kid Fiction in there too.
Ravyn Karasu It could be anything. It could be something someone says, something random my husband suggests, something I see during the day, anything. However, a LOT of my stories are inspired by songs. Some are entirely unrelated to the song that inspired it and some follow a sort of storyline that is akin to songs or a collection of songs that have inspired me for that particular story.

Sometimes, it's also just random thoughts or dreams or concepts too. Though music would definitely have to be the key factor in most of my writing, be it songs or instrumental compositions, and the environment helps too.
Ravyn Karasu As of right now, my last published work "The Karasu Kollektion: Ten Dark & Feelsy Short Stories" was inspired by a lot of things. It has 10 short stories in it and each one was either just a random idea or a story I wanted to use on a larger scale. The ones with the MOST thought were "Resonance" and "The Black Train" which were both designed to become webcomics (and "Resonance actually has been started), but since the comic-making process was so tedious and long, I decided to release them as short stories for the time being.
