Hello Janka! I would love to someday write the sequel to Ridley and Olivia's story. It's simmering inside me at present. We'll see what comes! Thanks for reading, friend! And hugs to Slovakia from my corner of Nashville... ;)

Hey Shay! Right now I've got four more stories swirling around inside me. My latest just released in November... A Million Little Choices. I want to keep in step with God's plan for my life, so one step at a time. But I hope to keep writing for a good long while. : ) Thanks for reading!

Good memory, Dawn! Yes, we see a glimpse of Daniel (from From a Distance, Timber Ridge Reflections) in the first Belmont novel (A Lasting Impression). In every novel since my first, I've included a cameo appearance of another character. Sometimes I mention them by name, at other times not, but I'll give a distinguishing detail to let readers who've read that previous novel enough to know who it is. Hope that helps!
P.S. Even in my newest novel A Million Little Choices, there's a glimpse of a character from one of my Colorado novels. I LOVE weaving these characters' lives together, just like our lives do. Much love from Nashville...

Hey Emily! I'll finish writing it this winter/early spring and it will release next summer! Thanks for asking, and for reading and taking these journeys with me.

Thanks for your kind words, Susan! I would love to write another book with Daniel and Elizabeth and Josiah and Belle. I think about them all quite often. Right now I'm working on a new Southern series (the Carnton novels, the first installment CHRISTMAS AT CARNTON, just released this month) and I'm writing the second in the series now. But! My interest is already turning back to Colorado—and letters like yours turn it even more so. So...thank you for that nudge! Much love from Nashville...

Thank you, Joe! Your kind words mean so much, especially since what I write isn't your typical read. Thank you for reaching out—and for reading! Continued blessings!

Hey Kerri! Charlie is one of those characters I keep thinking about. He's a character that keeps "talking" to me. I'd love to write his and Lori Beth's story someday. In a novella, possibly? His struggle with alcoholism has been a long journey so his healing from it will also take him on a similar journey. But (in my mind and heart) Lori Beth is there with him every step of the way. And I love her character too. So raw, so real. THANK YOU for caring about these characters along with me, and for asking about Charlie. Made my day, friend! Hugs from Nashville.

Hey Jessica! Thanks so much for reading and CONGRATS on getting your novel finished. Woohoo! That's a huge accomplishment. I've attended the Mt. Hermon Writer's Conference in the past and it's fabulous. Stay the course and keep writing. Soak up every bit of knowledge you can about writing and, above all, remain teachable. We never stop learning, never stop growing. And remember that when it all comes down do it, you're writing for an Audience of One. Seek to glorify Jesus in your writing and let Him open (or close) the perfect doors for your writing career. Praying for you even as I write this. Much love, fellow writer! Hey Kalena! I'll do that today and so appreciate the kind invite! Thanks so much for reading. And I do have a question! How many books are currently in your TBR stack? : )

Hey Ariana, so good to hear from you. All of my books are "standalone" novels meaning that the stories are complete in and of themselves. But you may catch glimpses of characters along the way. That said, this is the order in which I wrote the novels... Fountain Creek Chronicles, Timber Ridge Reflections, The Inheritance. The Belmont and Belle Meade novels were written "intertwined." Meaning I wrote A Lasting Impression (Belmont 1), then To Whisper Her Name (Belle Meade 1), and so forth. Also, To Mend a Dream (a novella) was written after To Win Her Favor (Belle Meade 2), because To Mend a Dream is Savannah Darby's story, a secondary character in To Win Her Favor. And now I'm beginning a brand new series with a new novella that's releasing this fall...in The Carnton Novels. Click here for more about 2017 releases! http://tameraalexander.com/coming_soon

Hey Katie! Thanks so much for reading and taking these journeys with me. My favorite book? Gracious, that's hard. Honestly, my "favorite" is probably the one I've most recently turned in because I'm so relieved to be done! LOL. Truly though, while I don't have a favorite, per se, I do have certain characters who still "talk" to me, who seem to want more of their stories told. I'd love to tell "the rest of the story" on those folks. Do you have characters you'd like to hear more about?

I love all of your characters. From Lily who would be considered maybe a minor character because she didn't have a whole story told to Claire who I loved because I'm a painter myself! I would love to hear from any of the certain characters you still hear from though. I love all of them. Minor and major characters. The one about Savannah in To Mend a Dream was wonderful even though it was much shorter. Maybe you have more about her? I was so sad when her story was over haha! I felt you could've gone much longer but of course it was one of four stories in one book so you had to keep it shorter. I can never get enough of your work!

Thanks, Kellyn, for your question! I do love horses! Though I'm not at all the rider that Maggie is. Far from it (my husband would say!). But I have friends who are "Maggies" in their own right and who share their experiences and expertise with me for which I'm so grateful! Blessings from Nashville and thanks for reading!

Oh, you're going to LOVE historic Belle Meade Plantation, Ashton! Be sure and see Belmont Mansion, too, if you have time. Have you seen the videos we filmed on location at Belle Meade? Here you go, if you haven't... Hope you enjoy, and thanks for reading!

I'd love to write a story about Caleb! I really grew to love his character in A BEAUTY SO RARE. However, I'm currently contracted for several more books, so it will be a while before I brainstorm something new. But I'll certainly keep Caleb in mind. Blessings, friend.

It's fine, I forgot that I asked you twice, sorry! I'm currently not writing, as I can't since a few years ago. But I'm tired of it, because no stories come to my head, I have no idea what to do. But thank you so much for your advice, and I'll sure think about it!

No worries, Cintia! Just remember, it's never too late to pick up a discarded dream and start over again. God's timing is always perfect. Seek his will for your life, wherever it takes you. Because there's nothing more comforting and "right" than being centered in his will for you, and nothing more frustrating when you're not. Blessings and much love, friend.

Mary, bless you for your kind words. You absolutely made my day, woman! I loved writing that story and still think about Aidan and Savannah often. When I "met" Savannah in To Win Her Favor, I knew I wanted to write the rest of her story. Bless you!

Hi Cintia! Thanks for writing! First, I want you to know I'm praying for you right this minute, wherever you are in your corner of the world, and I'm asking God to guide your steps in your writing journey. Writers block is a hard thing to deal with, and something I've learned to accept—and push through—in the near decade I've been writing. When I get truly stuck, I do one of several things (or I might try them all, depending on the circumstance): 1) I ask myself if I'm writing that specific scene from the right POV (point of view). Maybe the scene needs to be told from another character's perspective and that's why it's not coming. 2) Maybe I'm trying to get my character(s) to do something that's against their character growth, and their character arc. 3) Sometimes getting up and moving around for 15-20 minutes helps. Get out. Talk a walk. Go clean something. Just get up and get moving. 4) Lastly, sometimes you just need to push through it. Just start writing. Give yourself permission to write something that's not very good. You can't rewrite something that's not on the page. Get the story on the page. Then you can go back and fix it, dress it up, layer the emotional journeys of your characters. Hope that helps! Now, what are you writing? Do share!

I love history and in all of my books there's a historical event (or events) that shapes the story. So reading real history is a real inspiration for me.

Right now, August 2015, I'm working on the third novel in the Belmont Mansion series. Love these Southern novels.
