I try to fight through it for the most part. However, if it gets really bad, I usually see if I can work on something else to help get my energy flowing again.
Sometimes I will be outlining a story and instead of going scene by scene, I will stop and then attack the major remaining scenes first (in order if possible). If I can get the harder scenes out of the way, that can be a catalyst to re-opening my creative well.

Seeing the words spark emotions from the readers: good, bad and the ugly. The best part in all this is seeing real time improvement the more I write. That makes it more fun. I also enjoy having the ability to control my output. I write as much as I feel like it. In Hollywood, it is the complete opposite.

Usually the characters in my head won't allow me to sleep. Once they are free from my subconscious, they harangue me on pretty much a daily basis, until they have beaten me down so much that I have no choice but to write about them. Strangely enough, once I do, they tend to move on.
Except for The Red Rover, of course. For some reason, these guys are content to hang around for a little while longer.

Don't really have any to be honest. I feel if you want to write, there really isn't anyone stopping you from sitting down and just doing it or standing up and doing it.
I write every single day in some way, shape or form. Whether it's a memo on the cell phone, a work email or commenting on a message board.
I guess the goal would be to channel some of that miscellaneous writing you do into something creative.

I literally dreamed about it. Saw these characters doing extraordinary things in my subconscious and immediately had to put it on paper (I mean MS Word). It took me close to nine years to finally write the screenplay, before I decided to novelize it.
I was writing sci-fi action thrillers at the time, which played a huge part in motivating me to bring these characters to life.

I am in development on the 8th installment in The Rover Series Universe.
THE RED ROVER: LABYRINTHINE
The process has been a lot slower for this story than the previous installments. Aside from that, I am also working on a couple of film projects.
