Jennie L. Morris I would travel to Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter world. I love her books and her characters. I’d hope to be a badass and not a victim.
Jennie L. Morris This summer I had several anthologies on my list, along with a number of non-fiction works about siege of Stalingrad.
Jennie L. Morris I wanted to do research of late 19th century medical technology, and incorporate that someone into a romance novel. "Drawn in Shadows" is my attempt to bring together the two subjects.
Jennie L. Morris Sometimes by reading non-fiction books, or even articles on Wikipedia, and an idea will come to me. Or travel, that is a great way to get gears turning for a story. And you don't have to travel far, it can be down to your local historical society.
Jennie L. Morris I am working on a short story for an anthology, and then a darker romance with a paranormal flair.

Jennie L. Morris Creating stories and characters that you want to read about. I love doing research, and incorporating that into my writing, and thinking about how my characters would react. Sometimes it can shock even me!
Jennie L. Morris I step away from my work for awhile and do something else, maybe read a book or watch some television. Drink some tea, of course, and make some phone calls. If it is really bad, I work some other project, non-writing related, until I get things worked out in my head.
