Hi Jessie: I've had many, many requests for Fowler's story. He is a very insistent character who has popped up over and over again. So I finally married him off, lol, and he will have his own book.

Hi Pam:
Thank you so much! I've definitely considered a story about Fowler, although I'm not sure when that might happen. I just have too many characters and too little time!

Hi Aly, the latest book in the series, A VERY BELLAMY CHRISTMAS, tells the story of Shelton and his heroine. Fowler will pop up in the other books but I don't know if I will have an entire book featuring his romance.

Hi Scout:
The series you are talking about--titled THE TIME CONTROL TRILOGY--was one I had planned to pub in autumn 2023 but ended up canceling for various reasons (health and a crazy schedule among them).
I don't have any plans to publish this as I'm pretty well booked up. Maybe one day!

Hi Mary,
Yes, they are indeed condoms. Thanks so much for supporting my work!

Hahaha! Have you been practicing the Vulcan Mind Meld on me when I wasn't noticing?? Shhhh, don't tell anyone about Byer. He was my Scarlet Pimpernel tribute. Like so many characters, I have plans to write Byer's book although I haven't started it yet.

Hi there! Sorry for the delay in answering. I'm thrilled you enjoyed Jo's story as she was a very fun character to write.
I've planned to write a novella for Helen, but I'm not sure when that will be out. Right now I'm behind schedule, so I'm guessing it would be 2025 at the earliest.
Thanks again for reaching out and sharing such kind words!

I've started his story, but I'm not sure when I'll get time to actually finish it. I've got a full plate for the rest of 2023 and I've already dug myself a deep hole for 2024, LOL. Here is a little teaser... his heroine is a Quaker who operates an orphanage.
Desdemona Dreadless
Omg! That is so intriguing! I hope we get Venetia too

You can find out the answer to this question tomorrow.... Happy reading!

This answer contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[I'm not quite sure what you're asking... But if you read OUTRAGEOUS you'll find out more about Byer (who is in both NOTORIOUS and OUTRAGEOUS) (hide spoiler)]
Minerva Spencer
Ah... so many characters and so little time! I hope to one day tell Byer's tale, but right now I don't have anything on my schedule. I'm pleased that you like him! He was a fun character to write.

Hi Alina:
I'm delighted you love the Bellamy Sisters!
I wish I could tell you who Selina's love will be, but that is something I often don't know until I begin writing (and this is one of those times;>)
To be honest with you, Selina's love interest seems to be more polarizing than usual, LOL.
Mr. Spencer, who is my primary beta reader, told me he disliked Sheldon intensely and hoped he wouldn't be Selina's lover. He isn't wild about Angus, either (my husband is tough on my heroes!)
Three of my other betas dislike Sheldon and are weighing in on Angus's side while two of them believe Angus is too "mealy mouthed". You can see I have a lot to contend with, LOL.
It sounds like you are Team Angus?
Anyhow, I'll know in a month or two, when I contract to have the back cover blurb written because the lady who writes them for me will need to know.
Sorry that isn't the answer you were probably looking for...
Happy reading and thanks so much for reaching out!

Hi Cherie:
So sorry this is late, but I just saw your question!
I write 3 different levels of *steam* so that is usually how I break up my books.
While I have open door scenes in all my stories, I'd have to say that THE OUTCASTS & REBELS OF THE TON are probably the mildest (although that is relative, LOL)
Those two series are also interconnected. I would read THE OUTCASTS and then REBELS OF THE TON. That will give you the best experience, IMO.
THE ACADEMY OF LOVE is a tiny bit spicier and it is a self-contained series. These books stand alone really well. There are currently 5 of the 7 planned out, so a nice little binge waiting to happen.
THE MASQUERADERS trilogy is complete and it is also spicy with more intense themes. These stories are best read in order as the characters are interconnected pretty tightly. Especially the heroes from books 1 and 3.
THE BELLAMY SISTERS this is a 5 (maybe 6) book series that has 1 book out, PHOEBE, and one out in a few days, HYACINTH. It is my first family series and I really, really like it. It was inspired by Balogh's BEDWYN series and now I'm crazy about writing siblings. It has a similar steam level to the series above
THE SEDUCERS is a hot trilogy that focuses on sex trade workers (i.e. prostitutes) from the Regency Era. This has serious themes and lots of steam. This series is probably my most polarizing. If you like pretty, frilly, sunny Regencies in ballrooms with dukes, you won't like these.
VICTORIAN DECADENCE
This is my erotic Victorian romance series. These books are hot and break just about every taboo there is. They are intense and not for everyone. They aren't porn and they have received 2 reviews from Publishers Weekly, which is--frankly--very flattering because they don't usually review erotic books. That said, proceed with caution. If you are easily triggered, just avoid them entirely.
I also write historical mystery under S.M. Goodwin, if you read that genre.
The only connected series are the first 2 I mention.
So, although I was very late to answer, I hope this was helpful? I love hearing from readers and am a lot quicker to return emails if you have any other questions: minervaspencerauthor@gmail.com
Happy reading!

Hahaha! Yes, you've seen through Byerly's "Scarlet Pimpernickle-esque" facade. I agree with you on the Vorkosigan re-read. At least the first 6 or 7 books, I've not read the last few.
Minerva Spencer
Oh, wow! I didn't think of the connection until you mentioned it! It has been a LONG TIME since I read that series (which is awesome, by the way and merits a re-reading).
I suppose it is possible my subconscious came up with that name because you are right--they are very similar.
Consciously, I modeled Byer on the Scarlet Pimpernel.
I think the clownish "laughing on the outside, crying on the inside" type of character is fascinating and he definitely fits into that category.
Thanks for reading!

Hi Anshi:
I so glad you enjoyed the series! And thanks for reaching out with such kind words.
As of right now my publisher has not asked for more books in this series.
However, if you want to read more about the families, DANGEROUS, BARBAROUS, & SCANDALOUS feature a lot of the same characters.
There are scenes in BARBAROUS of Richard and Lucien when they were little, for example.
Thanks so much for being a supportive reader!
Cheers,
Minerva

Hi Selina:
I'm so glad you loved INFAMOUS!
You asked if I leave some part of myself in the books I write? I think the answer to that is probably 'yes'. I think it is inevitable that an author puts some of themselves in all their books. Maybe not something obvious, but certainly part of their spirit. For example, I often write about underdogs and people who don't fit in. I didn't realize that until somebody pointed that out to me. I suppose that is the part of me that stood against the wall during junior high dances and waited, with all the other unpopular girls, for a boy to ask me to dance...
The characters I've loved most are probably two of my least loveable: Martin from SCANDALOUS, just because he has so many chips on his shoulders (both of them!) and he's suspicious and paranoid and quick to take offense.
My other favorite is Eva, from OUTRAGEOUS, because she is out of control and impulsive and thoughtless, but her heart is in the right place.
I hope you enjoy the rest of my books--thank you for reaching out!

Hi Rabia: Sorry for the delay in answering your question. I'm thrilled you liked NOTORIOUS! I'm afraid there is no story scheduled for him right now, but you never know, my publisher might want one some day!
Minerva Spencer
Hi Parker! Sorry it took me so long to respond. I've been on a social media hiatus.
I'm thrilled you loved NOTORIOUS! I can't wait until you can get your hands on the other two. OUTRAGEOUS is definitely one of my favorites.
I don't know if there are any plans in the works for new covers. I know my publisher has done it in the past, but nobody tells me anything until after it happens. ;>)
Thanks again for reaching out to let me know you enjoyed my work, it's nice to get such a lovely message.
