R.K. Lander Nine months later… LOL

Do excuse me, this escaped my notice.

Book six will be the final instalment, due to release 11 october, 2022. After that, a new series will begin!
R.K. Lander Hi AJ.
The Short road is death. So yes, violent death.
The Long Road is the journey an elf makes to Valley, in Araria. It’s a journey made in life, similar to Tolkien’s elves leaving for the Grey Havens.
R.K. Lander Hi AJ.

It’s actually overdue. The reason is that it turned out double the length I was anticipating! Long story short, it should arrive in March.
All the best!
R.K. Lander Hi Aisha.

Let’s see. The source is their ultimate goal, a portal if you like. Before the Source is an area which is a point of no return. The Last Markers. It’s past this last point when humans become Deviant. If they should be lucky enough to get from the last markers to the Source itself, they would cross over. And that is the stuff of a future book. Hope that helps but feel free to ask if it doesn’t!
R.K. Lander For anyone. There is no sex, just a kiss here and there. No nudity mentioned, nothing explicit.
Thanks for the question, Abby.
R.K. Lander Hi Chrissy.

OK, Valley. It’s an area, a place that is shrouded in mist, difficult to find unless you are an Ari’ator. It’s not like heaven, but is actually where The Source is located. the Source is a portal of sorts. Elves can cross over into a new life but they don’t die. So Valley is the area where The Source is located.

The problem is that many humans believe that if they could cross into The Source, they would become immortal. This is actually true, but human bodies are not prepared for immortality. They start to rot and the Deviant is born. The job of the Ari’ator is to stop humans from getting too close to the source, avoid them becoming Deviant.

I am now working on a companion handbook which explains this and other aspects of the universe.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the series, and feel free to ask whatever you need to.
R.K. Lander This hasn’t happened to me - yet. For the most part they behave themselves, are predictable to me, as the mother. However, if it did happen, I would say go with it. If you get the urge to write it I think it’s because that character is unpredictable by nature. It could also be said that it is simply a part of your creative process, soething that defines you as a writer.
R.K. Lander I'm thrilled you're enjoying the series. Work is full on for book three and it should be launching end of April. Looking forward to hearing what you think about it!
R.K. Lander None! Too busy writing Book II of The Silvan: Road of a Warrior
R.K. Lander Hey!! Great to see you here!!

OK, the jump took me a long time to make. It started over on fanfiction, where I had some incredible readers. They kept telling me it was worth publishing and I kept saying - "nah..." But then along came Leggy, and that was the all I needed.

The learning curve has been enormous, and today's version of this story is very different to the first one, albeit the plot is still the same, and I know that when the second book comes out, it will, technically at least, be better.

At the end of the day, it's all down to luck - if you are graced with amazing readers, a mediocre writer can be a better writer.

R.K. Lander As a Tolkien geek, I just wanted to read more stories in that universe. I didn't find much so I decided it needed to be created.
R.K. Lander That was J.R.R. Tolkien's fault, entirely.
R.K. Lander My first project. A high fantasy trilogy entitled The Silvan. The first book, Path of a Novice is due to launch 21st April, 2017.
R.K. Lander I have none, because I am an aspiring writer - ok, my first book is coming out soon, but I have too much to learn from others right now.
R.K. Lander The luxury of expressing yourself and getting paid for it (hopefully). There is also that wonderful thing about entertaining others - there is nothing quite like it.
R.K. Lander What?! OK, here are my usual attempts at getting back on course:

I faff in the garden, listen to chill out music and meditate. If that doesn't do it I go shopping, then drink wine and ponder, and if all this fails, I cry.
