Hi Keli!
I'm thrilled you're enjoying the series. :) Yes, there is a book 10. It's called Enchanted Magic. You can find the retailer links here: www.tmcromer.com/enchanted-magic
Here on goodreads it looks as if somehow there was a glitch, and they've merged the two books, so I'm extremely glad you messaged me. I'll have to let a goodreads librarian fix this issue.
Kindest regards,
TM

Erica & Zack from my novel Burning Resolution. They were fun to write and work well together even though they are opposites.

This is probably a tough one for every author. I've read where some writers just trudge through, continuing to write even if it is crap. They then go back and edit later. I've read others go exercise to get their thoughts moving again. Honestly? I go scrounge for food, read, or find other humans to interact with. It usually does the trick. By then, I am impatient to get back to what I was working on.
I also create deadlines for myself. I work best under pressure. Don't ask me why. That kid in school who waited until an hour before class to write their paper? Yeah, that kid was me. I'd get an A every time. The information was available because I'd already done my research, but the writing, that needed pressure to make it really good.

Emptying my mind of all the people taking up residence in there is a major plus. From a young age, stories clouded my brain. I was told again and again to come down to Earth because "you live in a dream world" or "your head is in the clouds" or "you're so A.D.D.". I find writing allows me to clear my mind so I can participate in the more mundane part of life. I'm able to concentrate on conversations better - as strange as that sounds.
But mostly, it's fun! My stories weave themselves. I just type them up. :)

Create writing challenges for yourself. Make a list of topics and pull one out of a folder each day to write a 500 to 1000 word essay. Do that for a month. Don't worry about grammar, editing, or whatnot. At the end of the month, you will see how much more smoothly the words flow. This can be done simultaneously when creating your soon-to-be best-selling novel. Sometimes you need a break from what you are working on.
Also, join a writers' group, go to workshops, meet other like-minded individuals. These things feed the beast inside. Don't forget a journal for your ideas. Don't completely delete a scene that isn't working in your current story. Copy and paste it into a document of ideas you might use for other novels down the road. But most importantly WRITE!

Candy. I call it my brain food. Sure, it's probably rotting my teeth at the same time as it's feeding my creativity, but there is a give and take to everything, don't you think?
