Words feel alive to me. One of the sayings I am always hearing is "Every word is a creation." Language is the way through which we create our worlds, including the world we all share. So writing is something that feels alive as I do it, an act of creation with each word, each sentence.

For my own writing, I find that whatever I read--the news, Facebook posts, advertisements, Instagram--sparks some insight or response in me based on the spiritual wisdom I have been taught and received through channeling. It's as if the words themselves demand expression, to spread their energy through the world. Even in my own writing, where I am consciously generating, as opposed to channeling, where I feel very much like a conduit, the words themselves still have a life of their own. Inspiration comes from wanting people to see how their liberation is right there, available to them, and yet there is so much misinformation about the world, including misinformation of a spiritual nature, that blocks or impedes people from realizing that their freedom from the ego and connection with the Divine is right there, always, as their birthright.

My most recent book, Bending Time, was the second channeled installment from 2016, and so I can't take credit for its idea or genesis! The book focuses on the nature and purpose of time, to teach us how there really is only the present moment and yet that wisdom continues to elude us, despite it being almost a spiritual platitude. And that is because we still do not fully understand time or the ways it shapes our perception of the world.

I am working on a couple of projects. One of them is a next edition of When Thought Turns to Light, which will be an expanded edition, with additional material and practical suggestions. I am also beginning to prepare for publication, sometime late next year, the third installment of channeled material, originally downloaded in 2016.

I love this question, and it requires me to distinguish between types of writing -- channeled and non-channeled writing. I am exceptionally fortunate that I don't deal with particularly strong writer's block; just moments when the writing doesn't flow as well. When it comes to non-channeled writing, what I could call "my own writing," I find that I just need to step away and get out of my head, and allow the writing to speak to me when it's ready. Getting into my body through yoga or exercise, meditation, and time away from writing most often allow whatever is stopping the flow to dissolve. With channeled writing, I am not in control and cannot determine when the messages I download will arrive. But to the extent that I distract myself with too much mental activity and don't give myself enough mental time, I can sometimes slow down or delay such writing, and so I maintain a strong set of spiritual practices (meditation, mantra, prayer, etc.) to strengthen and keep open my connection with the guides who speak to me.
