Kashel Char Hi Everyone; it seems this trail is abandoned, but I am introducing myself because I joined the group just now. Kashel Char means Castle Black. Chosen for the apparent reason that Kashel is a Game Of Thrones fan.

“I found it surprisingly beautiful. In a brutal, horribly uncomfortable sort of way.“―Tyrion Lannister to Janos Slynt

My first solo flight, writing alone, is The Brawl King. It s gay and dystopian questioning the origin and future of humans on earth. It is unpredictable and tons of fun, with hot sex scenes. So far I've been getting 5-star reviews, and it seems it is well-loved and that is so motivating to continue writing.

Congrats on the book. Yeah, not an active group.

You might check out this one which has more active mods and engagement:

Precociousp Hello my name is Perri. I am fairly new to the M/M genre. To jump directly in, I decided to become an ARC reader. And got the opportunity to read my first Gay Science Fiction novel. It is called The Whims of Gods by Mell R. Bright. It is the first book in the Monstrous Whims #1 series.

Welcome. ARC readers are awesome. This group is pretty slow right now, but there are other M/M groups (notably the M/M Romance group) that are more active. And you can certainly look around here. You might also check out the Queer SciFi group online (FB etc.)

AJ Hyde Hello! My name is AJ Hyde (he/him) and I'm a Baltimore-based author of LGBTQ+ science fiction and horror. My debut novel, Farsight, comes out this June and I'm here on GoodReads to introduce myself and join communities of fellow readers and writers. I have a deep love of stories that both inspire and frighten, and this is what I have worked hard to create with Farsight.

From the back cover:

“Ford Dearborn is a troubled young man struggling with a series of blackouts he doesn’t understand. Accompanied by recurring nightmares of a scientist’s bizarre death, these episodes leave him disoriented and afraid he will end up like his catatonic mother, whom he hasn’t been allowed to see in years. What he doesn’t realize is that these episodes are visions of the future and a monstrous entity has sensed his existence because of them—an entity now bent on his destruction.

When Ford’s telepathic powers awaken in full, he is forced to go on the run in a desperate bid to make sense of what is happening. What he uncovers is something darker and far larger than he could have possibly imagined—something that threatens more than his life. But before he can confront the horror closing in on him, Ford must learn to face the shadows of his past if there’s even a sliver of a chance of his survival. . . .”

Farsight is a story built around the themes of accountability, connectivity, and kinship. At its core, it is a story of reconciliation and growth.

This is a major moment that I’ve been working toward for a long time. A lot has gone into this and there are a lot of exciting milestones between now and June, so please visit my official author website (ad-free, I own the domain, powered by Wix) to learn all about book details, sign up for my quarterly newsletter, get behind-the-scenes info, and learn about the roadmap to launch including the full-wrap book cover reveal, official book release date, and book release party!

Also please follow my public author account on Instagram.

I would love for you to join me as I embark on this adventure of authorship in queer speculative fiction. I'll also be posting in a few other relevant groups, including the Write LGBTQ+ ARC Readers group, if you're interested in being an advanced reader ahead of publishing.

Well met, folks!
