I had read a few stories about people who had hidden their real identities most of their lives. There have been many stories around power hungry people and what they will do to protect their money and their way of life. The lies people tell to protect themselves. And cancer which is too prevalent. So I looked at all of these elements and wanted to build a story about someone dying of cancer but wanting to atone for some wrongs he had done but more the wrongs of his family. But those who are rich and powerful will do anything to stop that. It is also about how two people can grow up in the same house but turn out very differently.(less)

I do several different things to make sure I don't get stuck in writer's block. Writing is about the free flow of ideas, the rewriting is really where the magic and the story comes together.(less)

New Book - Fostered Identity - coming soon

I have been working on a new book - Fostered Identity - and a new series - The Twisted Deception Suspense/Thriller/Mystery Series.

I got it back from the editor. Some things she caught surprised me while other made me laugh. In part, I have a character saying, "I'm sorry." My editor asked me why. When I looked at it, I agreed it didn't make sense. The only thing I could attribute it to, is my Canad Read more of this blog post »

I would love to listen. I love listening to my son and he's still in the learning stages. :) So I'm thinking you would be amazing to listen to. How would we do this?

Christy Hi Maggie! Thank You for sending the request from Fb :)

I have loved classical music I believe before I came out of the Womb and when I was in 1st grade and found out I was able to play a Strings instrument I was E static!! I have been hooked ever since. It is like a mind relaxer for me as well as a stress relief. I can take out my Violin and just get lost in the feel and the music. I hope that your son loves playing and develops a great love for it like I have :) I would love to play if you would like to listen!!

Maggie Thom Thank you for connecting Karla.

Maggie Thom Hi. Thanks Anna. I hope you had a good New Year. As with Christmas it came and went with the speed of light. Thank you for connecting. What is your resolution or intention for 2013? Mine is to publish 2 more books, have more fun, and find time to read more. :)

Anna's Herding Cats Hi Maggie! Thanks for the friend request :) It's always fun to meet new people and see what they're reading and loving :)

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Maggie Thom lol Sorry. I actually meant what other author do you like a lot. I liked Mirror Image a lot too. I also really liked The Switch. I liked the twist in it. I like to read, almost anything - just need suspense, mystery, a bit of romance (not always) and I'm good.
